<![CDATA[Indonesian people in each region have a wealth of local knowledge commonly referred to as local wisdom. The long-term goal of this research is to preserve and preserve local knowledge which is still relevant today. Traditional methods like this, in addition to obtaining benefits in their respective fields can also create harmony and unity among citizens. Because, local wisdom as one of the nation's adhesive tools in addition to the lack of harmony in society today. Communication ethics is a formal object and disaster mitigation in the “temanten kucing†tradition of Tulungagung is a material object. The method used in this study is hermeneutics by conducting a literature review to achieve the target. The results obtained are the understanding of heuristics by placing, description, interpretation, internal coherence and historical continuity so as to obtain a new synthesis that in this tradition there is a teleological-utilitarian content that is full of social and political nuances. Communication is done for the realization of a harmonious social climate and has a special character in creating certain goals. It can be concluded that communication ethics in the “temanten kucing†tradition contains certain values of teleological ethics (aiming) to lead the masses. <![CDATA[Film does not only provide entertainment for the audiences but also raises a realitythat exists in society. Not all films can be enjoyed by all audiences. This is becausethe scenes in the film contain elements of violence, mysticism, sex and other elements.The film of Han Gong Ju is a film adapted from an incident of rape in the Miryangarea, South Korea. This film contains elements of violence. Violence is divided intothree, namely physical, symbolic and sexual violence. The method used in this studyis descriptive content analysis. The results in this study are the existence of elementsof violence both physical, symbolic and sexual violence. <![CDATA[Silent animation is an animation that was created without using sound recording, especially in dialogue. The greatest strength of silent animation is nonverbal communication which is all forms of gestures that are not words. This research attempts to examine Larva season 3 episode Garlic 1 and 2 by using the theory of nonverbal systems of kinesis and proxemics categories as a reference unit of analysis. This research aims to interpret the meanings of nonverbal messages by using the Gillian Rose visual methodology from site of self and site of production to find the meanings of nonverbal messages in Larva season 3 episode Garlic 1 and 2. The research uses a critical paradigm with a qualitative approach that focuses on scenes that are describing nonverbal messages in Larva visualization. The results had found that the meanings of nonverbal messages displayed in Larva season 3 episode Garlic 1 and 2 also reflected in recent life issues such as struggling, respecting others, earnest, and being patient. <![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the teaching and learning process from traditional to digital. This abrupt change caused a high level of stress among the students. One way to decrease student’s stress level is to seek entertainment or actively doing their preferred hobbies. Downloading an entertaining application into their gadgets is one of the things they do. Clubhouse is an audio-chat application created in 2020 but gain popularity in 2021. This research aims to dig student’s adaptation process in using the Clubhouse application as a part of the Communication Process. This research used Qualitative Descriptive Method together with Innovation Diffusion Theory Approach. Data Collecting was done to six university students of Department of Communication Science major in FISIP 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya University who uses Clubhouse. The result showed that the informants adaptation progress began from knowing the application through social media, looking for information and directly using, understanding the positives and negatives till deciding to accept or reject the application. Among the informants, two refused while four accepted the application although two informants confirms that they will no longer use Clubhouse until there are significant new features and upgrades.Keywords: Clubhouse Application, Innovation Diffusion, University Students]]>

<![CDATA[Konsekwensi dari pesatnya perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi menjadikan kebutuhan akan informasi sangat penting bagi masyarakat. Hal ini berakibat pada pemenuhan kebutuhan atas informasi oleh media selalu dituntut oleh masyarakat. Berangkat dari fenomena tersebut maka peneliti memiliki alasan untuk mengkajinya dengan judul Pemberian Informasi Kepada Media RRI Surabaya Melalui Peran Netizen Journalism Kelurahan Wonokusumo, hal mana sebab studi ini ingin mengetahui apa saja peran netizen journalism yang berada di wilayah Kelurahan Wonokusumo dan kontribusi informasi apa saja yang diberikan ke media. Deskriptif kualitatif dipilih sebagai tipe penelitian ini dengan menggunakan secara akurat mengenai keberadaan fakta. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan model fenomenologi sebagai tujuan untuk mencari pemahaman yang ingin diteliti secara konteks dan melalui proses wawancara secara langsung kepada narasumber. Setelah melakukan penelitian dan menganalisis, ditemukan beberapa fakta tentang peran netizen journalism di wilayah Kelurahan Wonokusumo dalam memberikan informasi di media RRI, antara lain yaitu sebagai pemberi informasi, penerima informasi, penyanggah informasi dan pelengkap informasi.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh media film digunakan eminis eminism guna memperjuangkan hak-hak perempuan juga sebagai alat melawan penstereotipan eminism perempuan (Ayu et al., 2021). “Film The Great Indian Kitchen” merupakan film yang bertemakan perjuangan perempuan untuk dapat bekerja ke ranah emini. Dengan begitu, peneliti mengindikasikan bahwa film “The Great Indian Kitchen” mengandung nilai-nilai eminism di dalamnya. Maka, tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengungkap representasi eminism dalam film “The Great Indian Kitchen”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, menggunakan paradigma kritis, metode analisis semiotika John Fiske yang terdiri dari level realitas, level representasi, dan level ideologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa film “The Great Indian Kitchen” dominan merepresentasikan eminism aliran liberal. Hal tersebut ditemukan pada kode aksi dan percakapan. Aksi dan percakapan yang merepresentasikan eminism liberal yaitu mengenai kebebasan perempuan untuk memilih yang terbaik untuk dirinya, mengenai dukungan dalam kebebasan, kesamaan dan kesetaraan perempuan, serta mengenai perempuan berpendidikan dan bekerja.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's role as an opinion leader in overcoming the moral degradation of Parunggalih Elementary School students in the digital era. This study uses a descriptive approach by using data collection through observation, interviews, and library research. The development of technology in the digital era is increasingly rapid and difficult to become a challenge in the world of education. Technology causes a shift in values, norms, rules, and morals in students, especially elementary school students. This phenomenon is called moral degradation. SD Negeri Parunggalih students have experienced moral degradation. The absence of accurate filtering allows adult information on the internet to be accessed by elementary school students and causes misunderstandings among students at SD Negeri Parunggalih. The teacher as a figure who has more knowledge than his students should work by providing an understanding of what his students receive. so that students remain in control and do not get lost in the shackles of negative information technology. It was found that there were 5 roles played by the teachers of SD Negeri Parunggalih as opinion leaders in overcoming the problem of moral degradation in the students there. The five roles include: (1) teachers as role models; (2) teachers as educators and mentors; (3) the teacher as a mediator; (4) the teacher as a motivator; (5) and the teacher as a communicator.]]>

<![CDATA[Diskriminasi merupakan sebuah tindakan yang dilakukan oleh sebuah kelompok mayoritas kepada kelompok minoritas dan kasus tersebut terjadi diberbagai daerah di Indonesia bahkan terjadi di berbagai negara, hampir di semua negara terdapat kasus diskriminasi. Diskriminasi pun bermacam- macam bentuknya, seperti diskriminasi pada ras, suku dan agama. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat maka, banyak sekali pada masa kini kasus-kasus diskriminasi yang diangkat menjadi sebuah film yang dapat dipertontonkan pada semua khalayak. Salah satu contoh film yang mengandung unsur diskriminasi agama yaitu Hacksaw Ridge (2016). Film tersebut yang akan diangkat oleh peneliti pada penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan Pemuda GKJW Mojokerto sebagai informan dalam penelitian ini. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to understand the perceptions of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya Communication Students on Gender Communication. In this research, the Gender Communication will focus on the voice, bodies and language on men and women. The method of this research is Descriptive Quantitative. This research’s population and samples are students in Communication major that are currently enlisted in Gender Communication class, with the total of 49 students. The data collecting technique used in this research is questionnaire. The technique used for data analysis is Quantitative Descriptive. This research concluded that male and female students have significantly different perceptions in terms of Gender Communication. In gendered voices, the male students’ perception was women are more polite than men. Female students’ perception was men uses cursing and insults to develop relations and tends to be more emotional. Regarding bodies, male student’s perception was women are feminine, focuses on physical appearance. On the other hand, female students’ perception on men were having a masculine appearance, taking care of their own appearance, and doesn’t focus too much on their physical appearances. In language, the male students’ perception was women tend to talk more than men because of their richer vocabularies, while female students’ perception was that there was domination in the languages of men]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to describe the representation of sexual meaning in the film "Dear David". The research method uses a qualitative method with Tzevetan Todorov's narrative analysis structure which looks at films from the beginning, middle and end of the plot, and uses Stuart Hall's representational communication theory. The results of this research show that the film "Dear David" can represent adolescent sexual fantasies, in the form of a representation of women's lack of freedom in expression, a woman's resistance and leadership in terms of sexuality, a woman's satisfaction in using sexual tools and the beginning of a new love story. It is hoped that this research can provide additional information regarding adolescent sexual fantasies represented in the film "Dear David" and that further research can further develop various aspects and other analytical methods.]]>
