Abstract

Some studies indicate that a cultural approach is often referred to explain conflict. Culture is the factor that makes a group of people come together, have the same understanding of who they are. This study aims to promote identity and difference with the use of cultural symbols considered an effective way to strengthen a sense of togetherness, and to act collectively in achieving certain goals. The paper is based on original research that emploes qualitative-descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews and literature studies based on relevant sources. This work suggests that local wisdom of each ethnicities was able to become the key elements of ethnic group understanding and peacebuilding which was preserved in organizational forms, art studios, culture and brought together to carry out Cultural Titles. The cultural dimension remains important because not all law enforcement, justice and human rights mechanisms in conflict areas have been successful in creating lasting peace between the conflicting parties. Therefore, the use of a cultural perspective in integrating cultural factors in conflict resolution and peacebuilding mechanisms should always be considered.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMasalah dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 11 Sungai Laur pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik, masih kurang. Indikasinya kebanyakan siswa tidak siap mengikuti proses belajar mengajar, seperti datang terlambat, ribut di kelas, dan bahkan ada yang mengantuk pada proses belajar mengajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses penerapan metode pembelajaran PAKEM pada pembelajaran PAK, mendeskripsikan respon siswa pada saat penerapan metode pembelajaran PAKEM, pada pembelajaran PAK, dan medeskripsikan penerapan metode pembelajaran PAKEM dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran PAK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen penelitian pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data kualitatif menggunakan teknik observasi dan teknik wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini motivasi siwa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 11 Sungai Laur meningkat secara signifikan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PAK setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran PAKEM oleh guru PAK.Kata Kunci: Motivasi, PAK, PAKEM ABSTRACTThe problem in this research is that the learning motivation of the fifth grade elementary school students at Sungai Laur State Elementary School in learning Catholic Religious Education is still lacking. The indications are that most students are not ready to take part in the teaching and learning process, such as arriving late, being noisy in class, and some are even sleepy during the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to describe the activities of teachers and students in the process of applying the PAKEM learning method to PAK learning, to describe student responses when applying the PAKEM learning method, to PAK learning, and to describe the application of the PAKEM learning method to increase students' learning motivation in PAK learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research instruments, observation guidelines and interview guidelines. Qualitative data analysis using observation techniques and interview techniques. The results of this study showed that the motivation of the fifth grade elementary school students at Sungai Laur State  Elementary School increased significantly in participating in PAK learning.Keywords: Motivation, PAK, PAKEM

Abstract

The background of this research is to reveal the impact of Catholic Religious Education on student behavior in Public Senior High Schools in Pontianak City. The purpose of this study was to describe the role of Catholic Religious Education on student behavior in public high schools in Pontianak City; as well as to find out that Catholic Religious Education has a positive or negative impact on student behavior in Public High Schools in Pontianak. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive research type. Meanwhile, the research subjects were students and teachers of PAK at SMA Negeri Pontianak. Data collection techniques in the form of interview techniques and observation. The results of the study found that Catholic Religious Education at Public Senior High Schools in Pontianak City had a positive impact on student behavior if in the teaching and learning process the teacher really understood their function as PAK teachers. In conclusion, teaching actions by teachers based on love have a positive impact on student behavior in the school, family, and community environment. The implication of the findings of this study is that students behave politely and kindly to everyone.
