Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women is a condition of the mother with hemoglobin levels in her blood <11.0% gr. Prevention of anemia in pregnant women can be through various ways including the fulfillment of nutrients in the body obtained from fruits and vegetables, one of them by consumption of dates. Dates contain 1.02 mg of iron per 100 grams. This study aims to determine the effect of consumption of dates on the increase in hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women in the Klateng Community Health Center. Method: This type of research is a quasy experiment with a non equivalent control group design pre-test-post test design. A population of 57 third trimester pregnant women The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, a sample of 30 respondents from third trimester pregnant women was obtained in the working area of ​​the Central Health Center in Klateng. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: The average level of hemoglobin in the treatment group of hemoglobin levels pre (before) the administration of dates by 10.793 gr / dL and post (after) the administration of dates occurred an increase of 11,933 gr / dL and seen an increase (difference) from the average value of pre and post of 1,140 gr / dL with a standard deviation of 0.6643. Statistical test results obtained p value <0.05 (0.002 <0.05) so that Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted then consumption of dates has a statistically significant effect on increasing hemoglobin levels. Conclusion: From the results of these studies indicate the influence of consumption of dates to increase hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women in the work area of ​​the Central Health Center.

Abstract

Stunting is still a health problem in Indonesia. The role of cadres is very important in detecting stunting. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge of cadres about stunting. This research was conducted in Desa Cangkringan, Kec. Banyudono Kab. Boyolali. The research method is quasi eksperiment with one group pre and post test design. Health education was carried out to all cadres in Desa Cangkringan (26 respondents). Measurement of knowledge was carried out before and after health education using a questionnaire. The results of the study there was an increase in the average value before and after health education, the average value before was 45.9 and after health education was 89.2. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a relationship between health education and knowledge of cadres about stunting (p value <0.005). The conclusion of this study, health education can increase the knowledge of cadres about stunting.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia during pregnancy is a public health problem, especially in developing countries, and is associated with poor pregnancy outcomes. During pregnancy, iron deficiency anemia adversely affects maternal and fetal well-being and is associated with increased fetal morbidity and mortality. Affected mothers often experience difficulty breathing, fainting, fatigue, heart palpitations, and difficulty sleeping. They also have an increased risk of developing perinatal infections, pre-eclampsia, and bleeding. Babies whose birth weight is less than 2,500 grams will carry the risk of death and impaired child growth, including the risk of being stunted if not handled properly. Objective: This activity aims to increase pregnant women's knowledge about anemia and stunting so that pregnant women can have a healthy pregnancy. Methods: Health education activities about anemia and stunting were given to pregnant women in Joton Keboarum village, Klaten. This activity began with a coordination meeting with the village midwife regarding the implementation of providing anemia and stunting health education. The media used is material in the form of Power Point, which is provided with the help of an OHP. Results: The most knowledge of pregnant women before being given counseling was poor knowledge, as many as 9 pregnant women (69.2%), while the knowledge of pregnant women after being given counseling was mostly good knowledge, as many as 11 pregnant women (84.6%). Conclusion : there was an increase in knowledge about anemia and stunting after being given health education

Abstract

Background : Back pain is a common discomfort in pregnancy. Back pain in pregnant women if not handled properly can lead to poor quality of life for pregnant women. So it is necessary to make efforts to overcome one of them with non-pharmacological therapy, namely pregnant yoga practice. Research Objectives: To determine the effect of pregnant yoga on reducing back pain in pregnant women in the second and third trimesters in the Kasreman Health Center Work Area, Ngawi Regency, East Java. Research Methods: This type of research is Quasi Experiment with (Pretest and post test without control group design). The population in this study was pregnant women in the second and third trimesters in the Kasreman Health Center Work Area, Ngawi Regency, East Java. A sample of 30 people was taken by purposive sampling technique. The dependent variable is pregnant yoga and the independent variable is the decrease in back pain for pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. The research instrument used NRS (Numerical Rating Scale). Data processing using editing, coding, tabulating with Wilcoxon test data analysis. Research Results: The results showed that back pain before doing yoga during pregnancy, most of the respondents experienced back pain with a minimum distribution scale of 1 (mild pain) category of pain scale as many as 5 respondents and a maximum distribution of scale with a pain scale category of 8 (severe pain) as many as 1 respondent, while After being given yoga, most of the pregnant women became the minimum distribution scale with a pain scale category of 0 (Mother Doesn't Feel Pain) as many as 9 respondents and a distribution scale that was maximum with a pain scale category of 5 (Medium Pain) as many as 2 respondents. The Wilcoxon statistic test showed that p value= 0.000 < (0.05) so that H1 is accepted. Conclusion: There is an effect of yoga on reducing back pain in pregnant women in the second and third trimesters in the Kasreman Health Center Work Area, Ngawi Regency, East Java.
