Abstract

Research was done in Panjatan District Kulon Progo Regency aimed to know the effectiveness of auction market institution for red chili in Panjatan District and also to know the factors which influence to the effectiveness of auction market institution for red chili. This research used descriptive analytic method. District, subdistrict, and farmer groups were taken by Purposive method. Sample members were taken from every farmer group sample by using Simple Random Sampling with total amount of 60 farmers. Data were analized by Proportion Test and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of research showed that the most of farmer in Panjatan District Kulon Progo Regency have perception that the auction market institution for red chili has a high effectiveness. Farmer’s attitude and farmer group leader role give positive influence to the effectiveness of auction market institution for red chili, education level of farmers give negative influence to the effectiveness of auction market institution for red chili, whereas age, motivation, and the selling price of chili do not influence to the effectiveness of auction market institution.

Abstract

This research aimed to know farmer s business behavior in semiorganic rice farming and also to know factorswhich influence it. This research was using descriptive analytic method by survey technique. Subdistrict, villages,andfarmer group/association offarmer group samples were chosen by purposive method. 60 group member samples were taken from every farmer group/association offarmer group sample by proportional random sampling. Data was analized by Proportion Test and Multiple Linear  Regression Analysis.The result of research shows that most of farmers have good business behavior in semiorganic rice farming. Business knowledge, role of farmer group leader, and farmer activity in extension give positive influence to farmer business behavior, while motivation, income alocation, working experience, type of business information resources, and outside capital do not influence its business behavior in semiorganic rice farming.

Abstract

This study aims to identify creation of Purnama Jaya Farm :s website, knowing the response of students toward the website, and the influencingfactors of it. The method used in this research was descriptive approach by survey technique. The sampling of department were done purposively, while the sampling of students was done randomly. The number of total sample was 64 students from Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics from class of 2010 to class of20 13. From each class taken 8 Agribusiness students and 8 Agricultural Extension and Communication students. The analysis methods used proportion test and multiple linier regression analysis. The result of this research showed that response of students toward Purnama Jaya Farm :s website were high. The quality of information and ease of use positively affected toward response of students, while sex, academic program, degree of education, perception, quality of system, and playfulness didn't have significant affect

Abstract

Technology adoption is a process by someone of knowing until starting to apply the technology. Development is the process of improving the quantity and quality. The purpose of this research was to: (1) identify the developmentof sorghum cultivation, (2) determine the adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology, (3) determine the factors that influence to adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology, and (4) determine the effect of adoption level and the other factors in development of sorghum cultivation. The research was conducted in Poncosari Village, Srandakan Sub-district, Bantul District. The samples were farmers who directly involved in the sorghum cultivation in productive land (irrigated land). The basic method used descriptive analytic by using census sampling method that consist of 30 sorghum farmers who were members of Bismo Farmer Groups. Data were analyzed by a qualitative and quantitative approaches. Quantitative data at thefirst hypothesis was analyzed with proportion test, the second and third hypothesis used multiple linear regression. The research results showed that most of the sorghumfarmers (70%) had a high adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology. Based on the results ofmultiple linear regression analysis, factors that positivelyinfluenced to adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology were land size and role offarmer group. Development ofsorghum cultivation was included in low category with factors that positively influenced was motivation of farmers.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the role of women farmers in the application of vegetables cultivation technology and the factors that affect the role of women farmers in the application of vegetables cultivation technology, andalso determine the influence of the role of women farmers and other factors that influence the adoption ofvegetables cultivation technology. Descriptive method with survey techniques is used in this research. Sampling villages andfarmer groups conducted purposively, while sampling of women farmers were chosen by simple random sampling. Total sample amounted to 60 women farmers consist of 30 women farmers from the Manunggal farmer groups and30 women farmers from the Pasir Makmur farmer groups. The proportion test and multiple linear regression test is the method analysis which is used. The results showed that the role of women farmers in the application ofvegetablescultivation technology in the middle category, while the rate of adoption of vegetables cultivation technology is high. The age and knowledge gave positive influence on the role of women farmers, while education, womenfarmers activityin extension, attitude, motivation, family members, total of productive family members, family income, and the cultural value orientation did not significantly affect on the role of women farmers. The age, education, and women farmersactivity in extension gave positive influence on the adoption of vegetables cultivation technology, while the role of women farmers, knowledge, attitude, motivation, family members, total of productive family members, family income, and the cultural value orientation did not significantly affect the adoption of vegetables cultivation technology

Abstract

In an effort to realize food security, the Ministry of Agriculture made a policy of agricultural development by preparing food self-sufficiency program embodied with Special Effort of Increasing Productivity of Rice, Corn and Soy (UPSUS PAJALE). This escort and assistance is conducted by Agricultural Extension (PNS and THL), BABINSA (Bintara Pembina Desa) and students. This research aim to know 1) the implementation of UPSUS PAJALE program in Yogyakarta Special District; 2) the perception rate of program adviser to implementation of UPSUS PAJALE program; and 3) the factors which affect to the perception of program adviser. The research used descriptive method. The sampling of location was chosen purposively, while the sampling of program adviser was taken by simple random sampling and total sample is 40 respondents. The data were analyzed with proportion test and multiple linier regression. The research results showed that the rate of program adviser perception to implementation UPSUS PAJALE program was in good category. Knowledge of program adviser positively affect to the perception. Factors that did not significantly influence to perception of program adviser were experience, motivation to work in agriculture, interaction with farmers, interaction with agricultural extention worker, and interaction with BABINSA (TNI).
