Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Think-Pair-Share lebih tinggi dari yang diajar menggunakan Student Teams Achievement Division. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian “Posttest Only Control Group Design” dengan melibatkan sampel sebanyak 71 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors, uji F, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Think-Pair-Share lebih tinggi dari yang diajar menggunakan Student Teams Achievement Division  Kata kunci: pembelajaran kooperatif, Think-Pair-Share, Student Teams Achievement Division kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik Abstract The aim of this research is to investigate whether the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught using cooperative learning Think-Pair-Share model are higher than taught using Student Teams Achievement Division. This experimental research used “Posttest Only Control Group Design” involving 71 students. The instrument used in this research was mathematical problem solving ability test. The data obtained were analyzed by a Liliefors test, F-test, and t-test. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa menggunakan model  pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran tipe STAD di SMP Negeri 17 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Medan yang terdiri dari 9 kelas dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-2 dan siswa kelas VII-3 sebanyak 72 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Data yang diperlukan diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika berupa uraian sebanyak 3 soal. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS adalah 18,94 dengan simpangan baku 6,72 dan rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD adalah 12,94 dengan simpangan baku 5,15. Untuk uji hipotesis digunakan uji t, dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh ????ℎ???????????????????? = 4,28 dengan kriteria pengujian tolak Ho dan terima Ha jika ????ℎ???????????????????? ≥ 1,66 sehingga terlihat bahwa ternyata ????ℎ???????????????????? tidak berada pada daerah penerimaan H0 yang berarti bahwa ???????? ditolak dan ???????? diterima atau dengan kata lain kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa menggunakan model  pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS  lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD di SMP Negeri 17 Medan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.  Kata Kunci : kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, TPS, STAD  ABSTRACT This study aims to determine whether the problem solving skills of mathematics students using cooperative learning model of TPS type higher than STAD type learning model in SMP Negeri 17 Medan. The population in this study is all students of class VII SMP Negeri 17 Medan consisting of 9 classes and the sample in this study are students of class VII-2 and students of class VII-3 as much 72 people. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The required data is obtained by using a math problem solving test in the form of a description of 3 questions. From the results of data analysis obtained the average test results of students 'mathematical problem solving skills through cooperative learning type TPS is 18,94 with standard deviation 6,72 and the average test results of students' math problem solving skills through cooperative learning type STAD is 12,94 with standard deviation 5,15. To test the hypothesis used t test, from the calculation results obtained thitung = 4,28 with the test criterion reject Ho and accept Ha if thitung ≥ 1,66, so it seems that thitung not in the acceptance area H0 which means that H0 rejected and Ha accepted or in other words, students' mathematical problem solving ability using cooperative learning model of TPS type is higher than STAD type cooperative learning model in SMP Negeri 17 Medan. Based on the result of this research, the problem solving ability of student in mathematics that was taught using cooperative of TPS is higher than STAD.  Keywords: mathematical problem solving ability, TPS, STAD

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes on the subject of the system of linear equationswith two variables cooperative learning Numbered Head Together. Subjects in this study were class VIII-2 MTs Raudhatul Hasanah many as 31 people. The object of this research is the application of the cooperative model Numbered Head Together. The research instrument used by observation and tests. This type of research is a classroom action research. Before giving action, first given a diagnostic test to determine the ability and determination of the initial group of students based on ability level. The data provided in the form of shaped achievment test descipsion given twice at the end of each cycle. In this study the use of worksheets intended as teachingn tool to facilitate teaching and learning in cooperative groups. From the analysis of the data after a given action I (cycle I) obtained 23 out of 31 student (74,19%) reached mastery learning and 8 out of 31 students (25,80%) has not reached mastery learning with an average grade 68,70. In this cycle of learning completeness in classical yet achieved. From the analysis of the data after a given action II (cycle II) obtained 27 out of 31 students (87,10%) reached mastery learning, and 4 out 31 students (12,90%) has not reached mastery learning with an average grade 77, 09. In this cycle of learning completeness classically been reached. This means that an increase in student learning outcomes from cyle I to cycle II. Thus the implementation of cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of the system of linear equations in two variables of class VIII MTs Raudhatul Hasanah.Keywords : Cooperative, Numbered Head Together, Raudhatul Hasanah

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to describe the effect of problem posing model to improve mathematics communication ability. Model problem posing applied by using students’ worksheet. The research method used quasi-experiment. Design of research using control and experiment class. Technique of data collection by using pre-test and post-test. The population of this research is class VIII MTs M 09 KHA Dahlan Sipirok. The sample of research consisted of two class which are taken purposively. Data of this research were analyzed by using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test and determine category of N-Gain. Assisted by SPSS, data obtained is normal and homogeneous. The significance level of t-test is less than  such that   was rejected and  was accepted. There is a difference of mathematic communication ability between students who taught by problem posing model and those taught direct instructions. It is suggested to apply problem posing model by using students’ worksheet to improve mathematics communication ability.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model problem posing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Model problem posing diterapkan dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment. Perancangan penelitian menggunakan kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII MTs M 09 KHA Dahlan Sipirok. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil secara purposive. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t dan menentukan kategori N-Gain. Dibantu SPSS, data yang diperoleh normal dan homogen. Tingkat signifikansi uji-t kurang dari yang ditolak dan diterima. Ada perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematika antara siswa yang mengajar dengan model problem posing dengan mereka yang diajarkan instruksi langsung. Disarankan untuk menerapkan model problem posing dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh kemampuan awal matematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, (2) perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran dan model pembelajaran (3) interaksi antara kemampuan awal matematika dan model pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKJ 3 dan XI MM 2, dengan analisis ANAVA dua jalur.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh awal terhadap kemampuan matematika terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, (2) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran dan model pembelajaran kelompok , (3) Tidak ada interaksi antara kemampuan awal matematika dan model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika.

Abstract

It is undeniable that Higher Oder Thinking Skills (HOTS) have become the center of attention and essential skills needed, especially in mathematics today, but there are so many research shows that the average thinking ability of Indonesian students is still low. One of the student's low thinking abilities cause is teaching materials that still dominated by questions in the Low Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) category. Therefore, this study aims to develop valid, practical, and effective interactive student worksheets to improve tenth-grade students' higher-order thinking skills. This research used Research and Development (R&D) designs and methods guided by the ADDIE development model with five steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data obtained from this study is quantitative and qualitative data, which was obtained from the interview, validation test sheet, students and teacher response sheet and pretest-posttest result. The assessment from experts from both the material and media shows that the worksheet is valid with 4.30 and 3.97 average scores. Furthermore, based on the questionnaire responses of teachers and students with the "Excellent" score category, it shows that the developed interactive student worksheet is practical. The interactive student worksheet is also effective in improving mathematical HOTS of tenth-grade students since there is a significant increase in students' mathematical higher-order thinking skills based on student learning outcomes with 0.64 value of N-Gain. Besides the N-Gain, the students' response through the learning after using the interactive worksheet was also in the "Excellent" category, with an average score of 4.54 in the small trial and 4.27 in the field trial. Therefore, this study has produced a valid, practical, and effective interactive student worksheet to improve tenth-grade students' mathematical Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).
