Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajar melalui pendekatan Open-Ended lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran biasa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttes. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu penggunaan pendekatan open-ended dan pembelajaran biasa sedangkan variabel terikat yaitu kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Primbana Medan  yang terdiri dari 2 kelas, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-A (kelas kontrol) sebanyak 31 orang dan kelas VII-B (kelas kontrol) sebanyak 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas data menggunakan uji F. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa hasil pretest kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen, dengan demikian penulis bisa memberikan perlakuan kepada kedua sampel. Dari hasil analisis data pretest-posttes dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf  diperoleh yaitu  sehingga  ditolak dan  diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajarkan melalui pendekatan open-ended lebih tinggi dari pembelajaran biasa di kelas VII SMP Swasta Primbana Medan Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Kemudian proses jawaban siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Primbana Medan dalam menyelesaikan masalah berkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif melaui pendekatan open-ended lebih bervariasi dari proses jawaban siswa yang belajar tanpa menggunakan pendekatan open-ended. AbstractThis study aims to determine the creative thinking abilities of students who taught through the Open-Ended approach higher than ordinary learning. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttes design. The variables of this study consisted of independent variables namely the use of open-ended approaches and ordinary learning while the dependent variable was the students' creative thinking ability. The population in this study is all students of class VII Private Junior High School Primbana  consisting of 2 classes, while the sample in this study were students of class VII-A (control class) as many as 31 people and class VII-B (experimental class ) of 31 people. The research instrument in data collection is a test. Before testing the hypothesis first tested the normality of data by using Liliefors test and homogeneity of data using F test. From the test it was obtained that the pretest results of both samples distributed normal and homogeneous, thus the authors can give treatment to both samples. From the result of pretest-posttes data analysis using t-test at α = 0,05 we get tcount> ttable that is 0,1701> 1,677 so that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It can be concluded that students' creative thinking skills taught through an open-ended approach are higher than ordinary learning in class VII Medan Primbana Private Junior High School 2017/2018 Academic Year. Then the process of answering the seventh grade students of Medan Primbana Private Junior High School in solving problems related to the ability to think creatively through an open-ended approach is more varied than the process of answering students who learn without using an open-ended approach

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil analisis penerapan pendekatan open-ended dan seberapa besar pengaruhnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kepustakaan atau Library Research dan data yang digunakan meruupakan data sekunder. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Digital Library Universitas Negeri Medan selama bulan Oktober-Desember 2021. Peneliti memilih dan mereduksi 8 jurnal sebagai sumber literatur atau referensi yang terkait dengan penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis diperoleh bahwa berrdasarkan jurnal  penelitian, pendekatan open-ended dalam pembelajaran matematika mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa. dan berdasarkan jurnal penelitian eksperimen pendekatan open-ended berpengaruh positif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung dalam peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Adapun rata-rata nilai effect size yang diperoleh sebesar 0,74 yang tergolong dalam kategori sedang Kata kunci: Pendekatan Open-Ended, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis,                       Proses Jawaban SiswaABSTRACT This study aims to determine the results of the analysis of the application of an open-ended approach in improving students' mathematical creative thinking skills. This type of research is qualitative research with library research research methods and the data used are secondary data. This research was conducted at the Digital Library of Medan State University during September-December 2021. Researchers selected and reduced 8 journals as sources of literature or references related to this research. Based on the results of research and analysis, it is found that the application of the open-ended approach can improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills, and based on the results of research journals the open-ended approach has a positive effect compared to ordinary learning in increasing thinking creative thinking skills.
