<![CDATA[AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi persamaan kuadrat di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Perbaungan Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-6 SMP Negeri 3 Perbaungan dengan jumlah siswa 38 orang dan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi persamaan kuadrat di kelas VIII-6 SMP Negeri 3 Perbaungan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 . Dari hasil analisis tes pemahaman konsep dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi persamaan kuadrat diperoleh persentase 71,05% dengan nilai rata-rata 74,16 pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 86,84% dengan nilai rata-rata 85,66 pada siklus II. Dari analisis data diperoleh persentase tingkat ketuntasan belajar secara klasiakal siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II adalah 15,79% maka dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Perbaungan Kata Kunci :Pemahaman Konsep, Persamaan Kuadrat,Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STADABSTRACTThis research is classroom action research. This research is purpose (1) to improve students understanding of concepts ability using Cooperatif Learning Model Type Students Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) of the material Quadratic Equation in the class VIII of Junior High School in 3 Estate of Perbaungan. This research is a classroom action research. The subject in this research is class VIII-6 and the total is 38 students of Junior High School in 3 State of Perbaungan. The object of this research is improving students’ understanding of concepts ability using Students Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) in material Quadratic Equation in class VIII-6 of Junior High School in 3 Estate of Perbaungan. From the analysis of understanding of concepts ability tests using STAD Model on the material Cubes and Bar the percentage of 71.05% was obtained with an average value of 74.16 in the first cycle and increased to 86.84% with an average value of 85,66 in the second cycle.
