<![CDATA[This article explains that truth always reigns over evil. In the text of 1 Samuel 17 tells about Yahweh's war against evil people symbolized by the Philistines and Goliaths. The author uses the literature study method to compile this paper. In his discussion it is clear that God has acted through David to achieve this victory. The Philistines who opposed God, ridiculed and despised the Israelites as a form of resistance from the power of evil had been conquered by David as a symbol of Christ disarming the power of evil. Thus evil should have no place in the life of the believer. For God has given believers spiritual armor to resist the attacks and deceptions of the Evil One. Evil has been defeated by Christ, so those who believe in Him are called to be pioneers of righteousness on earth. Believers' lives should reflect the love of Christ who has reconciled themselves to God. AbstrakArtikel ini menjelaskan tentang kebenaran senantiasa berkuasa atas kejahatan. Dalam teks 1 Samuel 17 mengetengahkan tentang peperangan Yahweh terhadap orang-orang yang jahat yang dilambangkan oleh bangsa Filistin dan Goliat. Penulis menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk menyusun karya tulis ini. Dalam pembahasannya tampak jelas bahwa Tuhan telah bertindak melalui Daud untuk meraih kemenangan tersebut. Orang Filistin yang menentang Allah, mencemooh dan merendahkan orang orang Israel sebagai bentuk perlawanan dari kuasa kejahatan telah ditaklukan Daud sebagai lambang dari Kristus yang melucuti kekuasaan kejahatan. Dengan demikian kejahatan semestinya tidak memiliki tempat dalam hidup orang percaya. Sebab Tuhan telah memberikan perlengkapan senjata rohani bagi orang percaya untuk melawan serangan dan tipuan dari Si Jahat. Kejahatan telah dikalahkan Kristus maka orang yang percaya kepada-Nya dipanggil untuk menjadi pelopor kebenaran di muka bumi. Hidup orang percaya seyogianya mencerminkan kasih Kristus yang telah mendamaikan diri mereka dengan Allah.]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan artikel ini untuk menjelaskan upaya preventif tindak korupsi menurut iman Kristen. Upaya ini sebagai bagian dari partisipasi kaum Kristen dalam menawarkan nilai-nilai iman yang bersumber dari Firman Allah tentang upaya mencegah terjadinya kasus korupsi. Rumusan pembahasannya memakai jasa metode deskriptif analitik. Hasilnya, memperlihatkan bahwa pencegahan korupsi dapat dimulai dengan tumbuh kembangnya nilai-nilai iman firman Allah, yang dianut kaut dalam batin orang Kristen; nilai itu akan menjadi piranti hakiki yang melindunginya dari godaan keduniawian. Orang Kristen yang dewasa dalam iman merupakan wakil Kristus di tengah dunia ini. Sehingga, dengan citra itu ia hadir mewakili Kristen di tengan masyarakat, sekalipun terbuka peluang untuk korupsi atau dipaksa korupsi, ia akan tetap berpegang teguh pada keyakinan dasarnya; ia memiliki piranti yang kokoh dalam iman Kristennya yakni hidup takut akan Kristus dan memuliakan-Nya.]]>

<![CDATA[The problem discussed in this article is closely related to the importance of establishing for new believers. Establish serves to convince his faith, as well as to remove all obstacles that hinder a person's decision to believe in the Lord Jesus, such as doubts or feeling unworthy before God. The goal is to establish himself in order to grow in his spirituality. The method used is the Bible study method. The results show that establishing of a new convert is a strategic step to solidify his decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ. In addition, edification has a close relationship with evangelism to prepare him to join the local congregation. It is also clear that establishing is not the same as “Sidi” (learn church doctrine or catechism). Because establishing is a place for reaffirmation of his faith before he was handed over to the church. Establishing has a strategic place in building the mature Body of Christ because it strengthens its faith and testimony.]]>

<![CDATA[The problem of this article speaks the importance of the essence of prayer in the Christian life. Praying is a valuable opportunity for believers. Humans can ask God for help with their life problems. Praying can be seen as a special place for believers to build close relationships with God. They can also utilise any technology service to connect and pray for each other such as through calling, sending letters or newsletters, and WhatsApp Group contemporary communication facilities. Through praying for each other, people are interconnected and dependent on God. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. Researchers investigate the text of Bible verses related to the importance of praying for others. This approach is taken to lay the Christian theological basis of prayer. The results show that praying for others is a Christian character. Because Christians are commanded by Christ to pray for each other. Praying for others reflects a Christian character that is firmly inherent in believers. Believers who submit prayer support show the plea is urgent and urgent. That need must be answered by responding and praying for it. In today's context, WhatsApp Group facilities can be used as an effective and communicative means to convey prayer requests to and from others. The request encourages believers with sincere hearts to be enterprising and pray for each other.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. Among Christians from the Sundanese tribe, there are pros and cons towards the tradition of circumcision. There are those who carry out circumcision and there are those who don't. Each of these practices also has various reasons. Therefore, this research aimed to express how Sundanese Christians live their faith while living in a society with traditions that seem contrary to their faith. The method used in this research was the ethnographic method. The results showed that the acceptance or rejection of circumcision cannot be separated from family background and the beliefs held before becoming a Christian. Thus it can be concluded that faith will become dynamic when it encounters cultural realities in society.Abstrak. Di kalangan orang Kristen yang berasal dari suku Sunda terdapat sikap pro dan kontra terhadap tradisi sunat. Ada yang melaksanakan sunat dan ada yang tidak. Masing-masing sikap tersebut juga memiliki alasan yang beragam. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana orang Kristen Sunda menghayati imannya di saat bersamaan hidup dalam masyarakat dengan tradisi yang terasa bertentangan dengan iman tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode etnografi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa sikap menerima atau menolak sunat tidak dapat dilepaskan dari latar belakang keluarga dan kepercayaan yang dianut sebelum menjadi orang Kristen. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa iman akan menjadi dinamis ketika berjumpa dengan realitas budaya di tengah masyarakat.]]>

<![CDATA[The problem of this article is that it examines the importance of understanding the political context at the time of Jesus's life, which became a challenge in His ministry. The Son of God offers true political principles compared to the motives of the socio-political movements of that time. The purpose of this article is to explain the political principles of Jesus to promote the values of the Kingdom of God. As a result, the political principle of Jesus offers human redemption to become citizens of God's Kingdom. Jesus' teachings became the standard that inspired the world order regarding love and truth as the main points of His message (Mk 1:15). In carrying out His redemptive mission, Jesus did not carry guns and swords. However, Jesus' political principles were based on love and truth. In conclusion, the essence of Jesus' politics emphasizes God's mercy for sinners.]]>

<![CDATA[The Apostle Paul as God's chosen figure to proclaim Jesus as the Messiah King who brings salvation to all nations. People who are still outside of Christ can hear the Gospel that sets them free from sin. Getting to know the Messiah King personally also serves to build a bridge of communication to people who don't believe. So the purpose of this study is to explain the Messiah King who was preached by the apostle Paul. The method used is a descriptive study. The results show that Paul was very fascinated by the person of Jesus as the Messiah King who appeared to him on the way to Damascus. Since the introduction of Jesus Christ, Paul has been active in preaching the Messiah King to nations outside the Jewish nation. He also disassembled and rearranged his concept of faith and theological views of his mission. Christ who triumphed over death became the basis for Paul's theological views. Paul's preaching work served as the basis for the Church to preach that Jesus Christ is the Savior for all mankind.]]>
