Abstract

Synthesis of polyurethane was carried out by using diisocyanate monomer, (methylene-4,4’-diphenyldiisocyanate (MDI) and polyether monomer polyethylene glycol (PEG). The synthesis of polyurethane was undertaken by varying the molecular weight of PEG. The effect of molecular weight of PEG on the mechanical properties of polyurethane was observed. The variation of molecular weight of PEG was 200, 400, and 1000. Polymerization reaction was carried out at room temperature with a mol ratio of MDI to PEG was 1.17. The mechanical properties of polyurethane were characterized using AGS-500D Shimadzu tensile testing machine, with a cross head speed of 50 mm/minutes. The tensile test showed that increasing molecular weight of PEG used in the synthesis of polyurethane resulted in decreasing of the tensile strength at break of polyurethane, and increasing of elongation at break. The elasticity modulus was 92.21 kPa for polyurethane based on PEG 200; 8.96 kPa for polyurethane based on PEG 400; and 0.27 kPa for polyurethane based on PEG 1000.

Abstract

Amylose had been used to synthesize polyurethanes. A mixture of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with a molecular weight 400 with amylose was reacted with diphenylmethane-4,4’-diisocyanate (MDI) at room temperature to produce polyurethanes. The precured polyurethanes were heat-pressed and PU sheets were obtained. Characterization of functional groups was determined by FTIR spectrophotometry and crystallinity was analyzed by using XRD. The hydrogen bonding index (HBI) of polyurethane samples increased with an increasing of amylose content. The addition of 15% (w/w) amylose decreased the degree of crystallinity of polyurethane. The films of polyurethanes were biodegraded by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in an liquid of Luria Bertani (LB) media at 37oC for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 days, with the changing of media every 5 days. The result of weight loss percentace showed that all polymers may be biodegraded, with different biodegradation rate. The biodegradability (rate of weight loss) of polyurethanes by Pseudomonas aeruginosa increased when the amylose content in the polyurethane increased. The polyurethane product with 15% amylose – PEG400 – MDI had the highest biodegradability.

Abstract

Banyaknya jenis jajanan yang ada dilingkungan membuat anak sekolah dengan bebas dapat mengkonsumsi jajanan tersebut, menurut badan pengawas obat dan makanan, jajanan dilingkungan sekolah banyak yang mengandung bahan berbahaya bagi tubuh dan dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan seperti diare. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan dengan wawancara dan observasi terhadap orang tua di Kampung Cilongok RT 004 dan 005, Kecamatan Pakuhaji Kabupaten Tangerang sebanyak 20 orang tua dan terdapat pengetahuan baik sebanyak 10 responden, pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 7 responden, dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 3 responden. Dari 20 responden yang mengalami diare sebanyak 10 anak usia sekolah. Tujuan : Dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan orang tua tentang jajanan sehat dengan kejadian diare pada anak usia sekolah di Kampung Cilongok RT 004 dan 005 Kecamatan Pakuhaji Kabupaten Tangerang Tahun 2019. Metode penelitian : Jenis penelian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan deskriptif korelatif sempel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 92 responden. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah univariat untuk mempeoleh karakteristik dari masing-masing variabel demografis dan analisis bivariat digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel. Hasil : Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ci square dan didapatkan statistik nilai P value sebesar 0,019. Hal ini menunjukkan nilai P value pada pengetahuan orang tua tentang jajanan sehat dengan kejadian diare bahwa < 0,05 terdapat peran orang tua tentang jajanan sehat dengan kejadian diare. Saran : Hendaknya orang tua lebih aktif dalam mencari informasi atau wawasan baru untuk menghindari kejadian diare pada anak usia sekolah.

Abstract

Research on improving the language ability of the children of Group A in Nurdzakky kindergarten, backed by less optimal child's language skills, and to know the planning of language ability improvement, learning process of cantol roudhoh method, and improvement of language ability after applying cantol roudhoh method using data collection technique observation, interview, and documentation. The subject of research is pre-school children kindergarten Nurdzakky, District Cisarua, West Bandung regency. Child language skills development data is collected through observation and field notes. Data analysis was done by descriptive analysis with result as follows, objective condition of development of language ability of child in Nurdzakky kindergarten, showed the ability of child language at the beginning of learning has not developed optimally, seen still less understanding story, mention syllable, mention words well, imitate mentioning sentences, imitating writing. The ability of the language of children shows only three (3) children out of ten (10) children who begin to develop, while as many as seven (7) children are still not developed, after the learning process by applying the cantol roudhoh method there are five (5) , four (4) children begin to develop, and one (1) children not yet developed, towards the end of semester 2 the development of children's language increased to seven (7) children have developed as expected, even there are two (2) children who develop very well, and one (1) developing child. The existence of a significant influence so that it can be argued that through learning methods of reading cantol roudhoh, can improve the language skills of children in kindergarten Nurdzakky.
