Abstract

A person's religious experience is a very individual inner matter. Everyone experiences a spiritual experience that brings maturity in practicing the religion they believe in. In Indonesia, there are still religious conversions. This is because there are inner conflicts and conflicting feelings that result in turmoil that originates from the problems of faith faced. Religious conversion can be experienced by anyone. As experienced by AW, the conversion from Christianity to Islam. Starting from the interpretation of the understanding of divinity based on the philosophy of Divinity. This happened when AW continued his Strata-3 education. The purpose of this study is that the researcher wants to know how Mr. AW uses philosophy to question and criticize the beliefs and values ​​of Christianity until he has an interpretation of Christian teachings about God. In this study, the author uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Where the author collects data by interviewing participants as a source of information. In addition to interviews, literature related to religious conversion is also used. Thus, the results of this study are expected to provide researchers with the reasons for AW's conversion. Recommend that religious leaders and congregations be wary of all religious philosophies. Spiritual leaders and parents can protect their congregations or children from understanding philosophical teachings that influence and shake Christian faith. There needs to be serious faith formation in the congregation to strengthen their faith and answer the challenges of understanding that can destroy Christian faith.

Abstract

Spiritual growth of Youth is the process of growing in size or growing in the spirituality and context of Christianity. Spiritual growth involves trying to guide individuals who do not yet have a personal attachment to Jesus Christ toward a connection with Him, so that they can become part of God's responsible community [Latif Helen Farida, "The Influence of Teaching and Fellowship on the Spiritual Growth of Children and Adolescents," Christian Theology and Ministry (2017), 120.]. Rotto Marinus, means that spiritual growth is to provide teaching in the truth of God's word which is sown through teaching and fellowship. Therefore, in the context of pastoral ministry, a pastor of the congregation needs to teach the truth of God's word to Youth members. The pastor of the congregation plays a role in encouraging all members of the Youth to increase their spiritual growth. Good spiritual growth is greatly appreciated by Christ Jesus through His words. This study aims to explain the role of pastoral ministry on the spiritual growth of youth in the Church of the Indonesia Christian Church, Gospel of the Majapahit Satellite Kingdom, Semarang. To answer the problems and objectives of the research, qualitative research methods are used by applying data collection. The result of the research to be achieved is that the pastor of the church as a spiritual leader who plays an intense role in order to be able to increase the spiritual growth of youth well according to the teachings of Jesus in His word.

Abstract

Israel is a special place in the history of 3 religions in the world, Judaism, Christianity/Catholicism and Islam, each has its own history. For some people, Israel is just a country that was only established in 1948 after becoming sovereign, but some think that Israel has existed since the descendants of Jacob grew large and settled in the Promised Land given by God. As a place that is considered sacred and holy land or Holyland, religious people come to hold pilgrimage tours. In addition to seeing and traveling, there is an aspect of studying the past, figures and places written in the Bible. The Holyland Spiritual Pilgrimage Tour is a favorite place for adherents of the 3 religions. The incident of the attack on the Israeli area by Hamas on October 7, 2024 and claimed many victims caused the conflict between Israel and Palestine to occur and be larger in scale. The conflict involved many parties and finally there was a major impact, one of which was the impact of the Holyland Spiritual Pilgrimage Tour. Tourism actors from the organizers and users felt the detrimental impact. So this study was conducted to examine the impact.

Abstract

The elderly (elderly) is a human being who has reached the age of 60 years and above, who is susceptible to various diseases related to changes and declines in mental, physical, economic, and social aspects. These problems affect the quality of life. The purpose of this study is to explain the quality of life of the elderly in the Elderly Nursing Home and the Role of the Church in it. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with observations in the field, interviews with sources, and with literature. The role of the church is very important in meeting the spiritual needs to build spiritually. A church that serves the elderly is a church that does God's will, called to provide proper service and place for the elderly who are abandoned. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the presence of the church in providing services has an effect on the quality of life of the elderly.

Abstract

The presence of metaverse which is the result of the development of digital technology has been adapted by some churches so that it has given rise to a new model of worship and church, namely the metaverse church. The presence of metaverse technology provides new opportunities and challenges for the church of the future. This research is intended so that the church is able to maximize the implementation of the great commission and the implementation of the church's three tasks by utilizing metaverse technology. This research uses qualitative methods and literature studies. The results of the study revealed a lack of uniformity of opinion among churches regarding the implementation of the great commission in the metaverse world, but the church has the opportunity to optimize service and implementation of the great commission with metaverse technology and the church must prepare itself well to overcome the challenges of the presence of metaverse technology.

Abstract

This study explores the intersection of sacred water rituals and ecological awareness, examining how religious practices related to water shape environmental virtues and promote water conservation efforts. Various religious traditions, including Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, and indigenous practices, treat water as a sacred resource, emphasizing its purity, sanctity, and the responsibility of humans to protect it. These rituals, such as Islamic ablution (wudhu), Christian baptism, and Hindu purification rites, not only serve spiritual purposes but also embody environmental ethics that encourage restraint, humility, and stewardship in the use of water. The study employs a comparative qualitative approach, integrating textual exegesis, ethnographic observations, and interviews with religious practitioners to analyze how different faith traditions frame water as sacred and how these frameworks translate into practical behaviors regarding water conservation. The findings reveal that religious water rituals contribute to an ecological self, fostering a deep respect for nature and a commitment to sustainable water use. However, challenges exist in reconciling traditional practices with modern water scarcity issues, especially in regions where water conservation is a critical concern. Despite these challenges, religious communities have the potential to leverage their ritual heritage to foster global awareness and action toward water conservation. Future research should explore interfaith collaborations in water conservation and investigate the impact of ritual practices on real-world water conservation behaviors. This study highlights the potential of sacred water rituals as powerful tools for promoting environmental stewardship and addressing global water challenges.

Abstract

Dusun Duren adalah salah satu dusun yang terletak di Desa Barukan , Kecamatan Tengaran, Kabupaten Semarang. Dusun ini adalah salah satu dari sekian banyak dusun yang saat ini mengalami dampak modernitas. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perkembangan karakter masyarakat yang terdampak oleh hadirnya modernitas. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh-tokoh masyarakat dusun Duren, dan warga dusun setempat. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok terfokus. Penelitian yang dilakukan di Dusun Duren Desa Barukan, Kecamatan Tengaran ini menemukan bahwa kehadiran modernitas telah membawa perubahan-perubahan terhadap pola-pola pendidikan karakter. Kehadiran modernitas membuat pola-pola lama dalam pendidikan karakter, tidak lagi efektif diterapkan di kalangan masyarakat pedesaan. Penelitian yang dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa modernitas adalah arus yang tidak terbendung dan dihindari keberadaannya, sehingga membawa dampak dalam perilaku sosial masyarakat. Masyarakat perlu melakukan modifikasi pola-pola pendidikan karakter masyarakat agar nilai-nilai kearifan dapat diturunkan dari generasi ke generasi selanjutnya. Pola-pola pendidikan yang melibatkan cara berpikir logis, merupakan salah satu strategi yang dapat diterapkan dalam membangun karakter generasi masa kini. Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang sering dianggap “kuno” tidak boleh dihilangkan, tetapi justru penting untuk dilestarikan karena dapat menjadikan seseorang memiliki kualitas hidup yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menyajikan sebuah potret toleransi yang ada dan berkembang di wilayah Dusun Kenteng, Sumogawe Kabupaten Semarang. Nilai-nilai luhur sebagai kearifan lokal dipakai sebagai pondasi membangun keberagamaan di dalam praktik toleransinya. Melalui kajian deskriptif analisis, dengan memakai kajian literatur, dilengkapi dengan wawancara dan pengamatan sebagai sarana pengumpulan datanya, serta dianalisis menggunakan AnalysisInteractive Model dari Miles dan Huberman didapati bahwa nilai luhur terkait Pandangan tentang Kosmologi Jawa dan Kawruh Begja melekat di dalam masyarakat, didukung dengan Etika Jawa perihal Ngajeni lan nepakake menjadi penguat dalam praktik toleransi di masyarakat. Ketiga hal tersebut dapat terjadi didukung dengan ada pola introduksi, internalisasi dan implementasi yang saling bertautan di dalam pelaksanaannya. Potret toleransi ini menjadi sebuah stimulan untuk merayakan keberagamaan di tengah perbedaan.

Abstract

Nasionalisme mulai digoncang kembali dengan gerakan radikalisme dan ekstremisme. Kondisi sosial masyarakat yang terguncang mendorong diperlukan upaya, baik untuk meredam ataupun membangun kembali ketahanan nasional dan nasionalisme di dalam masyarakat. Tulisan ini menyajikan sebuah nilai luhur yang ada dan berkembang di wilayah Dusun Kenteng, Sumogawe Kabupaten Semarang. Nilai-nilai luhur sebagai kearifan lokal dipakai sebagai pondasi membangun ketahanan nasional di dalam masyarakat. Melalui kajian deskriptif analisis, dengan memakai kajian literatur, dilengkapi dengan wawancara dan pengamatan sebagai sarana pengumpulan datanya, serta dianalisis menggunakan Analysis Interactive Model dari Miles dan Huberman didapati bahwa nilai luhur yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi elemen pembangun ketahanan nasional yaitu Perilaku tepo slira lan biso rumangsa, Perilaku karyenak tyasing sesame dan Perilaku sepi ing pamrih. Ketiga nilai luhur yang bersumber dari kearifan lokal setempat dapat dipakai menjadi stimulant dalam mengembangkan ketahanan nasional di dalam masyarakat. Masyarakat dapat mencintai budayanya dan dapat dipakai sebagai sarana membangun ketahanan nasional.
