Abstract

ABSTRACTCow urine contains a high element of nitrogen that can be utilized as a liquid fertilizer. In the process of making liquid fertilizer, addition of fish waste is expected to increase the nutrients content. This study aims to analyze the content of CNPK liquid fertilizer from cow urine with the addition of fish waste. This goal is traced by varying the amount of fish waste addition (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50) g and day tests CNPK content analysis (before and after fermented). This liquid fertilizer using anaerobic fermentation technology for the past 14 days with the addition of banana roots MOL as bioactivator. The results showed that the addition of cow urine with 20 grams of fish waste is the most effective with C-organic content of 4.41%, Ntotal by 0.62%, amounting to 0.58% P2O5 and K2O by 1.30% however, this liquid fertilizer is not eligible to Permentan No.70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011 about pupuk organik, pupuk hayati, dan pembenah tanah.

Abstract

With the increasing amount of human needs for energy, a new energy source is needed to replace the use of fossil fuel which existence becoming rare. One alternative energy than can be used is biogas. Biogas is a gas formed from organic matter decomposition in an anaerob condition. Biogas can be made from materials easily found in the environment, such as restaurant waste that has high organic components. To improve biogas production, there are several treatments that can be done, such as dilution and mixing. This study uses 10 digesters, each of it filled with 4 kg restaurant waste and 1.5 L cow rumen, with the addition of water varies as follows: 6000 ml, 4000 ml, 2600 ml, 1500 ml and 670 ml. The first five digesters were being mixed while the other five were not. The observation runs for 22 days.  Result shown that in both digesters with water content as much as 6000 ml, with mixing or not, are the ones that produce the most gas. First digester produces 1032.02 ml gas while sixth digester produces 1196.99 ml gas. To compare the effect of mixing, gas production on digesters with no mixing produce more gas than the one that are being mixed.

Abstract

The husbandry activity processes will result side products,  known as waste such as feces and urine. The characteristic of these waste are renewable and very potential to be used as liquid fertilizer. On this research, urine from cow is used as raw material for liquid fertilizer because of its nutrient element. One of the techniques to make liquid ferltilizer by fermentation. This research have six variations by adding different amount of  shrimp waste in order to know the best effect of macronutrient element for liquid fertilizer. Variation of the addition are: 0 gr; 15 gr; 30 gr; 45 gr; 60 gr; 75 gr and fermentated for 14 days. The best addition of shrimp waste for good liquid fertilizer is 60 gr addition of shrimp waste, which have nutrient element content of macro C-organic, Nitrogen, Phospor, and Kalium with each percentage 6,75%, 1,62%, 0,63%, and 0,73%.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur belum melakukan pengelolaan limbah peternakan secara baik dan benar. Limbah peternakan yang berupa kotoran ternak, sisa pakan, dan sisa alas kandang tersebut hanya ditumpuk begitu saja di dekat kandang ternak. Limbah peternakan yang tidak dikelola dengan baik tersebut akan menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan sekitar antara lain timbul masalah bau, banyak lalat, dan dari aspek estetika kurang baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan Iptek bagi Masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi dan praktek langsung pembuatan pupuk vermicompos. Metode yang digunakan adalah: 1) Melakukan penyuluhan ke mitra sasaran, 2) Praktek langsung pembuatan pupuk vermicompos, 3) Praktek langsung penggunaan pupuk vermicompos  di lahan perkebunan milik anggota kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa Pupuk Vermicompos dengan angka rasio C/N sebesar 20, 68. Pupuk Vermicompos yang diproduksi oleh Anggota Kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur sudah memenuhi standar 70/Peraturan Menteri Pertanian/SR.140/10/2011 Tentang Pupuk Organik, Pupuk Hayati, dan Pembenah Tanah, angka rasio C/N sebesar 15-30. Kata kunci: vermicompos, rasio C/N, limbah
