Abstract

This study will discuss the comparison between induction hardening with flame hardening in ST 60 steel in terms of tensile strength and microstructure. The induction hardening machine is designed and made by itself with the maximum heat generated reaching 650 °C. While the flame hardening machine uses an acetylene welding machine. After heating the specimen to 650 °C, it is then cooled using water. Each heating process uses three specimens for tensile testing and microstructure testing. From the tensile test results obtained that, ST 60 steel with induction hardening has a greater tensile strength compared to flame hardening. ST 60 steels which experienced induction hardening treatment also had higher strain compared to ST 60 steels which experienced flame hardening treatments.

Abstract

Seven soy adalah jenis minuman yang terbuat dari olahan kedelai atau biasa di sebut susu kedelai yang diproduksi oleh UD. Sumber Rejeki yang berlokasi di desa Sumorame, Sidoarjo. Seiring dengan perkembangan usaha, UD. Sumber Rejeki terus berupaya untuk meningkatkan produksi yang dimiliki dengan beberapa inovasi yang dilakukan. Namun  upaya yang dilakukan tidak maksimal karena beberapa faktor, yaitu: keterbatasan fasiltas dan alat produksi, belum adanya sistem perencanaan dan penjadwalan produksi, produk susu kedelai tidak bertahan pada suhu ruangan, distribusi dan pasar sasaran terbatas, media pemasaran masih pada media sosial tidak berbayar. Maka dari lima permasalahan tersebut, solusi yang ditawarkan meliputi dua aspek yaitu: (1). Aspek peningkatan kapasitas produksi dengan melakukan inovasi alat produksi berupa mesin penutup botol. (2). Pada aspek teknologi pemasaran/distribusi, mendesain sistem informasi pemasaran dan distribusi berbasis online. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan beberapa pendekatan yaitu participatory rural appraisal dan participatory technology development. Teknik pelaksanaannya dibagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan dan monitoring evaluasi

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze variations in the type of rope material and size as a link for measuring the force on a centrifugal pump, namely to find out the type of material and the size of the rope that is suitable to minimize the loss of force contained in the wire. To find out the type of calculation and comparison of the values for various types of material. From the tensile test that has been done, the highest UTS (Ultimate Tensille Stress) value was obtained in a polypropylene monofilament rope specimen with a stress value of 602.17 kgf with 382.14% elongation. The highest stress calculation value data was obtained by the Polypropylene monofilament rope specimen with a value of 738,85 at elongation to 360%. The highest modulus of elasticity obtained by Nylon rope was 4,564  . This shows that the modulus of elasticity is inversely proportional to the stress value, which was the stress value of nylon straps that was the highest compared to other specimens but had the highest elastic modulus value among other specimens.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourist village of Sumbergedang, Pandaan Pasuruan, experienced a drastic decrease in visitors, which greatly reduced their income. Meanwhile, in the village, water from the mountains is very abundant. Purpose and solution offered is to manage clear water in the village using Simple Appropriate Technology, namely making a tubing tube to fill the clear water which will later be processed into clean water. The clean water produced is ready to drink, and this will be a separate effort to increase the income of residents in thetourist village of Sumbergedang during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Cup Sealer machine, also known as a plastic cup sealing machine, is a device that seals plastic cups, preventing the contents from pouring into the glass. It also serves to keep liquids and things contained within them sanitary. This machine is frequently encountered operating on human power (manual). This study is a continuation of Community Service activities in the village of Sumbergedang Pasuruan. This machine design will be implemented in the village because the village has abundant clear/clear water that comes from Mount Penanggungan which has been processed into ready-to-drink water. The goal of this study is to create a plastic cup packaging machine that uses water from Mount Penanggungan in the village of Sumbergedang, Pasuruan, and then to improve the machine. The design uses SolidWork software with the input data being the cup sealer machine body component, the motor component for the sealing process, the cutter press component (plastic cutter when sealed), the ring component for the glass cup, and various extra components are used in the design. The results of the computation show that the design fits the requirements for moving forward with the production process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get wheels with offset variants of -15, +20, and +35 made of aluminum alloy with a maximum load of 690 kg. Autocad 2018 and Unigraphic NX 8 were used to create all three designs. The load was calculated using the SAE J2530 standard and simulated using the ANSYS Workbench 14.5 application's numerical simulation method. As a result, the car rim is designed with a spoke form that becomes steeper (Concave) as the offset decreases. Methods a) Dynamic Cornering Fatigue Test, b) Dynamic Radial Fatigue Test, and c) Impact test consecutively at offset -15 of a) 62.33 MPa, b) 111.61 MPa, and c) 1.58 mm can be used to obtain numerical simulation results. For offsets of +20 of 70.91 MPa, 75.75 MPa, and 1.6 mm. And a) 90.33 MPa, b) 78.13 MPa, c) 1.61 mm at offset +35.

Abstract

The corporate world is undergoing a very rapid rate of change. It's no wonder that manufacturers are competing to sell their products quickly in the market. Advertising is a medium that is used as a means to distribute information to the public, related to the product you want to be known, one of which is advertising that is used on television. By paying attention to this, when designing an advertisement, the thing that must be considered is the attributes attached to the advertisement, in order to provide interest to consumers or potential consumers. The purpose of this study was to determine the dominant product attributes on consumer interest in making decisions to continue viewing service advertisements on advertising impressions in digital media. The final result to be achieved is that the product design of advertisements is made able to improve product performance, provide convenience for business actors in determining ergonomic designs on digital media and optimize the performance of marketing tools in introducing products so that product designers are able to provide guarantees for the design of advertisements displayed. This study uses customer voice analysis in the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method by testing some initial attributes which show the results that some attributes have a significant influence on the design of advertising products.

Abstract

Welding is a process of uniting two or more materials into a form of connection using heat energy. Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state welding method that can produce high-quality welding joints for some materials with low weldability such as aluminum. The research objective was to determine the effect of process parameters on the distortion and resistance of aluminum AA6061-T651 material through the Brinell hardness test. The FSW tool used has a hexagonal pin geometry. The experimental design used the Taguchi method. This study uses 4 factors and each factor has 4 levels, the elements used are tool rotation speed, welding speed, tool tilt angle, and concave shoulder angle. The responses analyzed are distortion and hardness of the welded joint material. The effect of process parameters on the response was analyzed using ANOVA. The results of ANOVA on distortion obtained the value of Brinell hardness in the weld metal area, and in the TMAZ area. Specimen 13 with tool rotation speed parameters of 3022 rpm, welding speed of 43 mm/min, tool tilt angle of 3.5°, and concave shoulder angle of 2° with a distortion value of 0.117°. Then we get the results of the Brinell hardness of the weld metal which is close to the target of the base metal with the parameter tool rotation speed of 3022 rpm, welding speed of 90 mm/min, tool tilt angle of 2.5°, and concave shoulder angle of 8° with a Brinell hardness value of 75. 7 BHN, and the Brinell hardness value at TMAZ with tool rotation speed parameters of 1208 rpm, welding speed of 65 mm/min, tool tilt angle of 2.5°, and concave shoulder angle of 2° with a Brinell hardness value of 74.7 BHN.

Abstract

This paper discusses how the influence of the tool diameter on the surface roughness of the workpiece, how the effect of feeding speed on the surface roughness of the workpiece and whether there is an interaction between the tool diameter and feeding speed on the workpiece surface roughness in the AISI 1045 steel milling process. Variables that are varied in this study were the tool diameter, namely 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm and the variation of feeding speed used was 33.5 mm/min, 59.4 mm/min and 111.9 mm/min. After the AISI 1045 steel milling process by varying the specified parameters, and then the surface roughness test of the workpiece is carried out. From the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that, tool diameter and feeding speed together have a significant effect on the surface roughness of the workpiece in the AISI 1045 steel milling process.
