<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Kemampuan Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh Memproduksi Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi”. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah tingkat kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik nontes. Adapun teknik pengolahan data diolah secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik statistik sederhana. Aspek penilaiannya meliputi kemampuan memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi berdasarkan struktur teks dengan nilai 85 pada rentang 85-100 termasuk kategori sangat baik. Kemampuan memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi berdasarkan ciri teks dengan nilai 80 pada rentang 70-84 termasuk kategori baik. Kemampuan memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi berdasarkan ciri kebahasaan dengan nilai 70 pada rentang 70-84 dengan kategori baik. Kemampuan memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi berdasarkan penggunaan EYD dengan nilai 65 pada rentang 55-69 termasuk kategori cukup. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi tergolong dalam kategori baik dengan nilai 74. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disarankan kepada guru bahasa Indonesia SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh untuk lebih meningkatkan pembelajaran menulis, khususnya pada kaidah penulisan, baik tata bahasa maupun ejaan.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan, memproduksi, teks laporan hasil observasi ABSTRACT This study entitled "The ability Student Class XI SMAN 7 Banda Aceh Producing Text Reports Observations". Formulation of the problem of the research is how the level of ability of the students of Class XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh producing text reports the results of the observation. This research aims to gain an overview of the capabilities of the students of Class XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh producing text reports the results of the observation. The methods used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques in the study using the technique of nontes. As for the technique of processing of data processed in a descriptive quantitative with a simple statistical techniques. Aspects of assessment include the capability of producing a text report of observations based on the structure of the text with a value of 85 on 85-100 range including category very well. The ability of producing reports observations based on text characteristics of text with a value of 80 on the range 70-84 including category either. The ability of producing a text report of the results of observation based on linguistic trait with a value of 70 on a range of 70-84 with categories either. The results of this study showed that the ability of the students of Class XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh is producing reports observations text belongs in the category of good value of 74.
