<![CDATA[Abstrak Pelayanan publik merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan yang diberikan oleh pemerintah kepada masyarakatnya. Salah satu dimensi pelayanan publik yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat ialah pelayanan jasa transportasi/angkutan. Bus sekolah merupakan suatu pelayanan transportasi bagi pelajar dari pemerintah yang bertujuan sebagai sarana transportasi untuk mengantar maupun menjemput para pelajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis efektivitas operasionalisasi bus sekolah rute selatan oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Gresik. Kelompok sasaran dari program Bus Sekolah adalah siswa-siswi yang ada di rute selatan Kabupaten Gresik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah pelajar yang menaiki bus sekolah yang berjumlah 177 orang dengan menggunakan Random Sampling yang berjumlah sampel 64 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui kuesioner (angket), observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas operasionalisasi bus sekolah rute selatan oleh Dinas Pendidikan kabupaten Gresik dinyatakan sangat efektif, namun terdapat 2 indikator yang masih berada dikategori efektif. Indikator tersebut yaitu indikator kenyamanan dan indikator keteraturan, dengan prosentase akhir yang diperoleh sebesar 73,87% dan 77,34%. Prosentase tersebut jika diklasifikasikan nilai interval maka masuk pada nilai 61%-80%. Saran yang diberikan pada indicator kenyamanan dan keteraturan yaitu menambahkan jumlah armada bus sekolah, sebaiknya menambahkan fasilitas kebersihan berupa tempat sampah paling sedikit 2 (dua) buah dan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Gresik sebagai implementor perlu kiranya meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap jalannya bus sekolah. One of the dimensions of public service needed by society is transportation service / transportation. The school bus is a transportation service for students from government that aims to provide transportation to take or pick up students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of school buses on the southern route at the Education Office of Gresik Regency. The target group of the School Bus program is the students who are in the Southern Routes of the Driyorejo region of Gresik Regency. This research is descriptive research with quantitative approach. The population of this study are students who boarded the school bus numbering 177 people. While the sampling technique in this study using Random Sampling with a sample size of 64 people. Data collection techniques used are through questionnaires (questionnaires), observation and interviews.The results showed that the effectiveness of school bus operational route south by the Education Office of Gresik Regency was stated very effective, but there are 2 indicators that are still in effective category. The indicators are comfort indicator and regularity indicator, with final percentage obtained is 73,87% and 77,34%. The percentage if classified to the value of the interval then entered at a value of 61% -80%.Suggestion given on the indicator of comfort and regularity is Adding the number of school bus fleet, you should add the cleanliness facility in the form of trash for at least 2 (two) pieces, Gresik District Education Office better improve socialization and Gresik District Education Office as the evaluator, presumably increasing the supervision of the school bus.
