Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of self efficacy on the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students on the material on flat side spaces. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. This study took the subjects of class IX A, 26 students from SMPN 1 Parongpong, West Bandung Regency. This research instrument was in the form of mathematical connection ability questions, self efficacy questionnaires, and interviews. After doing the research, it is concluded that in general, there is an effect of self efficacy on students' mathematical connection abilities. Students who have high mathematical connection ability are students with high self efficacy categories. In general students who have low connection ability are students with low self efficacy category but there are some students with low self efficacy category who have high mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

Abstract Since the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the world, tutor-student meetings have been hampered. This issue also contributes to the learning process requiring students' autonomy, which means that it will be difficult to have techniques and the role of technology in the world of education now and in the future. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the findings of a learning evaluation that involved remote learning via e-learning modules and a Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS). The two-sample dependent t-test was administered to 30 students in class 12 A at PKBM Darul Fiqri, Cimahi City, using the SPSS 22.0 application. The study's findings indicate that this learning module may have an effect on students' overall achievement. Keywords: Learning Module, E-learning, Learning Management System (LMS), Moodle, Pandemic COVID-19 Abstrak Sejak adanya pandemi COVID-19 yang melanda dunia, maka pertemuan antara tutor dan warga belajar menjadi terhambat.

Abstract

Explanation of material is still in the form of calculations and teaching materials used are in the form of teaching modules that are not based on contextual problems. This is difficult to apply in bold learning, so students still have difficulty solving problems. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of contextual learning using application-based teaching materials on students' problem solving abilities. This research method uses true experimental, while the research design used is a randomized posttest only control group. The subjects in this study were class VII A and VII B with a total of 64 students. The data collection in this research uses quantitative data and the instrument used is a mathematical problem solving ability test. Data analysis in this study was using one-sample t-test and independent t-test. The results of the calculation that students have achieved the minimum criteria completeness score that is more than 70, this can be seen in the results of the one-sample t-test which obtained a sig value of 0.008 and students who used contextual learning with application-based teaching materials were better than contextual learning. This can be seen in the independent t-test, which obtained a value of sig .000, meaning that the value of sig < 0.05. So that contextual learning uses application-based teaching materials for problem solving that is effectively applied in learning mathematics
