Abstract

This study is aimed at describing character values in five Cianjuran Sundanese songs (Tembang Sunda Cianjuran) comprising Laut Kidul, Mairan ti Dapur Yayasan Wargi Cianjur, Itu Gunung Naon Raden, Pamoyanan, and Kidung Wiwitan, taken from a book entitled Ngauguar Mamaos Cianjuran. These songs were chosen due to their lyrics which are easily understandable, full of character values and highly related to the locality of Cianjur. This article is based upon the analytic Descriptive method with a literature review used to examine and describe character values in Tembang Sunda Cianjuran. From eighteen character values, only thirteen character values are found in the songs. They are religiosity, honesty, discipline, hard work, creativity, curiosity, national spirit, patriotism, appreciation of achievement, communication, reading habits, environmental care, and responsibility values. In the current songs, the most frequently occurring value is patriotism, which is contained in the second song (TSC-02). It has nine character values. Cianjuran Sundanese songs function as the guiding norm of life, related to religion, and contains advice so that humans could behave in compliance with religion, the human and Creator relationship, as well as the human and environment relationship. Studi ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam lima tembang Sunda Cianjuran yang terdiri atas Laut Kidul, Mairan ti Dapur Yayasan Wargi Cianjur, Itu Gunung Naon Raden, Pamoyanan, dan Kidung Wiwitan, yang diambil dari buku Ngaguar Mamaos Cianjuran. Tembang-tembang tersebut dipilih karena liriknya lebih mudah dipahami, mengandung nilai karakter, dan berkaitan erat kaitannya dengan lokalitas Cianjur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan teknik telaah pustaka untuk menelaah dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam tembang Sunda Cianjuran. Dari 18 nilai karakter, hanya 13 nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam tembang tersebut, berupa nilai religius, nilai jujur, nilai disiplin, nilai kerja keras, nilai kreatif, nilai rasa ingin tahu, nilai semangat kebangsaan, nilai cinta tanah air, nilai menghargai prestasi, nilai komunikatif, nilai gemar membaca, nilai peduli lingkungan, dan nilai tanggung jawab. Nilai karakter yang paling sering muncul adalah nilai cinta tanah air. Tembang Sunda Cianjuran memiliki fungsi bagi masyarakat sebagai salah satu acuan dalam kehidupan di dunia, berkaitan dengan agama, dan berisi nasihat agar manusia berperilaku sesuai dengan ajaran agama, berkaitan dengan hubungan manusia dengan sang Maha Pencipta, hubungan manusia dengan manusia, dan hubungan manusia dengan alam/lingkungan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK       Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan aktualisasi distance learning pada masa pandemi, respons guru dan siswa terhadap distance learning, serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Dari berbagai sumber literatur tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru dan siswa secara umum sudah memahami alasan dan melaksanakan distance learning. Namun, guru dan siswa menemukan berbagai kendala yang mengakibatkan siswa secara umum lebih senang belajar tatap muka secara langsung daripada  distance learning. Distance learning yang dilaksanakan di jenjang pendidikan dasar dan menengah menyampaikan materi dengan beragam cara, misalnya;  membaca, merangkum, membuat video, dan lain-lain.  Media pembelajaran yang digunakan bervariasi, misalnya;  Whatsapp, Google Classroom, Google Form, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Quiziz, Edmodo, Eduboy, Youtube dan lain-lain. Dalam segi penilaiannya dapat digunakan berbagai asesmen yang sesuai dengan  karakteristik distance learning (Misalnya, tes berbasis daring, portofolio, atau penilaian diri (self assessment)). Dalam pembelajaran distance learning ini ditemukan faktor-faktor pendukung dan juga penghambat. Faktor pendukung antara lain pemerintah, guru, dan fasilitas pembelajaran itu sendiri. Misalnya faktor teknologi, pemberian kuota gratis, perluasan akses internet, penyediaan fasilitas belajar seperi Rumah Belajar dan Belajar dari Rumah di TVRI. Sedangkan  faktor penghambat tersebut diantaranya siswa tidak memiliki laptop atau ponsel pintar, tidak memiliki jaringan internet yang baik, siswa tidak memahami penggunaan media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, dan lain-lain. Kata Kunci: Distance learning, pandemic_covid-19, Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah.ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the actualization of distance learning during the pandemic, the responses of teachers and students as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of distance learning. The research used literature study method. From various sources of literature, it can be concluded that teachers and students in general have understood the reasons and have implemented distance learning. However, teachers and students encountered various obstacles such the students prefer face-to-face learning rather than distance learning. Distance learning which is carried out at the primary and secondary education levels delivers material in various ways, for example; reading, summarizing, making videos, and so on. The learning media used are varied, for example; Whatsapp, Google Classroom, Google Form, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Quiziz, Edmodo, Eduboy, Youtube and others. In terms of assessment, various assessments can be used in accordance with the characteristics of distance learning (for example, online-based tests, portfolios, or self-assessments). This research found supporting factors and obstacles in distance learning. The supporting factors include the government, teachers, and the learning facilities themselves. For example, the technology factor, the provision of free data plan, expansion of internet access, the provision of learning facilities such as Rumah Belajar and Belajar dari Rumah on TVRI. While the inhibiting factors of distance learning include students do not have laptops, smart phones, and a good internet network, besides, students do not undertand the use of learning media used by teachers, and others. Key Words: Distance learning, pandemic Covid-19, Primary and Secondary Education.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Literasi dini dipandang sebagai fondasi yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan kognitif manusia, dalam pengajaran literasi Pada Anak Usia Dini (PAUD), perlu diperhatikan bahan, media, dan cara penyampaian agar anak usia dini mudah untuk memahami dan menanamkan nilai-nilai kehidupan yang terdapat dalam pembelajaran, yang dituntut untuk dapat berinovasi dan kreatif dalam menyampaikan bahan pembelajaran literasi, dalam tumbuh kembang dan karakter anak usia dini. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan pada guru-guru PAUD di desa Sukawangi, Warungkondang. Adapun metode  kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pelatihan tentang teknik pengajaran literasi dini untuk anak-anak PAUD. Teknik yang digunakan pada para guru adalah mendongeng dengan menggunakan media boneka jari dan buku besar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan membuat guru menjadi kreatif dan anak usia dini lebih aktif terlibat pembelajaran serta mengenal kearifan lokal Cianjur. ABSTRACTEarly literacy is seen as a very important foundation in human cognitive development, in teaching literacy in PAUD, it is necessary to pay attention to materials, media, and delivery methods so that early childhood is easy to understand and instill the values of life contained in learning, which is required to be able to innovate and be creative in delivering literacy learning materials, in the development and character of early childhood. This activity aims to provide assistance to PAUD teachers in Sukawangi village, Warungkondang. The method of this activity is training on early literacy teaching techniques for PAUD children. The technique used by the teachers is storytelling using finger puppets and large books. This service aims to make teachers creative and early childhood more actively involved in learning and get to know Cianjur local wisdom.

Abstract

This service aims to provide counseling about the importance of using standard Indonesian as a form of positive attitude towards Indonesian. In its implementation, counseling was carried out to 15 class VIII A students of SMPIT Sabilulhuda Cirebon City. The method used is counseling method. This activity is motivated by mistakes and language errors that are still found in the community, especially among students. In addition, this service is also carried out based on the results of integrating learning from the Language Error Analysis course with Community Service activities. As for the results of counseling activities using standard and non-standard words, 26.66% of students were in the good category, 53.33% were in the enough category, and 20% were in the bad category. So, it can be concluded that 80% of students understand what has been conveyed in counseling. Extension activities of this kind must continue to be carried out in order to minimize errors and mistakes in the Indonesian language. In addition, inviting students to practice the knowledge gained in learning subjects to make it more meaningful and useful for society.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the implications of the policy on students' competence in using scientific Indonesian, and 2) evaluate the impact of eliminating the thesis as a medium for developing academic writing. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and  document analysis at 9 universities ranked in the top 25 according to Time Higher Education  (THE) for the June 2023 period. This study reveals that the policy of eliminating the obligation  to write a thesis in Permendikbudristek No. 53/2023 has the potential to reduce students'  competence in mastering scientific Indonesian. Indonesian remains important as the main medium in developing critical thinking skills, scientific argumentation, and academic communication in various forms of alternative final assignments, such as projects, prototypes, or other innovative works. Good and correct mastery of Indonesian remains an important pillar in ensuring the quality of learning outcomes and student contributions in the academic and professional world. The implication is that it is necessary for the Directorate General of Higher Education to prepare technical implementation guidelines that regulate: 1) minimum language content standards for all types of final assignments, 2) validation mechanisms for Indonesian language competency, for example with the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI), and 3) allocation of special credits for academic writing training so that mastery of Indonesian remains the foundation of academic competency for university graduates.

Abstract

This research is part of the integration of the Language Error Analysis course with scientific research. The aim of this study is to describe language errors in the Kick Andy talk show episode titled “Perfect in the Eyes of God.” This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected using the observation and note-taking technique. The collected data were analyzed to identify types of language errors and sentence inefficiencies that appeared in the dialogue between the host and the guests. The findings reveal 17 instances of language errors, including the use of non-standard words and sentence inefficiencies. Some examples of non-standard words found in the talk show include nggak, udah, cuman, temen-temen, kenapa, nampak, teger, and others. Meanwhile, sentence inefficiencies include a lack of cohesive ideas, structural incompatibility, and excessive word use. Such language errors can affect the clarity and comprehension of messages delivered to the audience. Therefore, this study is expected to provide insights into the importance of using proper and effective language in public communication, especially in television media, which has a broad reach in society.
