The purpose of this study was to determine the role of UPT LK region I in the quality of workforce in Pekanbaru City (case study of electricity workshop). The population in this study were participants who attended an electric vocational training in UPT-LK region 1 Pekanbaru from 2014-2018 with a population of 513 participants. The sample was taken randomly (random sampling) as many as 84 respondents. The type of data used are primary and secondary data, while data collection techniques use questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results of the workforce research coming from UPT LK Region I Pekanbaru have a job suitability with their expertise, then the workforce has technical ability, work discipline, and good morale, the workforce works in accordance with their expertise, and the workforce has a good quality of work compared another.Keywords: Role, quality, labor

This study aims to determine the level of labor force participation, especially married women in the trade sector in Pekanbaru City. In this study, obtained from questionnaires and several direct interviews with related parties (respondents) and matters related to this research variable, namely the respondent's education level, husband's income and number of family members. By using multiple linear regression to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the R square value is 0.70, which means that 70% of the labor force participation of married women in the trade sector is influenced by the respondent's education level, husband's income and number of family members, while 30% is influenced by other variables. Simultaneous regression (mutually) of the independent variable has an influence on the dependent variable. Partially the variables of respondent education, husband's income and number of family members have a positive and significant effect on the level of labor force participation of married women in the trade sector in Pekanbaru City.Keywords: Married women labor force participation, trade sector, respondent education, husband's income, number of family members.

This study aims to determine the employment in the city of Dumai which is influenced by economic growth and minimum wages. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis which is assisted by analysis tools, namely the SPSS version 25 program. The independent variables in this study are Economic Growth (X1) and Minimum Wage (X2), while the dependent variable in this study is Labor Absorption (Y). . The results of this study indicate that economic growth has no effect on employment in Dumai City. The minimum wage has a positive effect on employment in Dumai City. And the results of this test are in accordance with the hypothesis that the author has set, which states that the minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption.Keywords: Economic Growth, Minimum Wages, Labor Absorption

This study aims to see the feasibility of establishing a peyek cracker business in Pelalawan Regency in terms of marketing, supply of raw materials, socio-economic and financial aspects. This research was conducted in Pelalawan Regency. The object of research is small cracker crackers in Pelalawan district. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis to see the feasibility of the Peyek cracker business in terms of marketing, socio-economic and quantitative data analysis to see the feasibility of the Peyek cracker business, finance by using Net Present Value, Benefit Cost Ratio, Internal Rate of Return. Results From research conducted on 25 respondents, it is known that the feasibility of Peyek crackers for business fans from the marketing aspect is included in the feasible category. In terms of raw materials, the establishment of the Peyek cracker business is feasible to be determined. From the socio-economic aspect, the fried banana fan business is feasible to open and generate profits, the Peyek cracker business in the financial aspect of the Net Present Value of Rp 97,505,378>0, then the Peyek cracker business is feasible to be established. Value Benefit Cost Ratio is 1.23>1, then Peyek cracker business is feasible to be established. The value of the Internal Rate of Return is 46.88%>12%, so the Peyek cracker business is feasible to be established in Pelalawan district.Keywords : feasibility business, peyek cracker

This study aims to determine the feasibility of a fitness center (GYM) service business in Pekanbaru City in terms of non-financial aspects, namely marketing and socio-economic aspects and financial aspects. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City and the object of research is a fitness center (GYM) service business in Pekanbaru City. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis to see the feasibility of a fitness center (GYM) service business in terms of marketing, from a socio-economic point of view and quantitative data analysis to see the feasibility of a fitness center (GYM) service business from a financial point of view, using the analysis of Net Present Value ( NPV), Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio), Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The results of research conducted from 13 respondents indicated that the feasibility of the marketing aspect of the fitness center (GYM) service business was feasible. From the socio-economic aspect, the fitness center (GYM) service business is feasible to run. The fitness center (GYM) service business from the financial aspect produces a Net Present Value of Rp. 333,707,315>0, then the fitness center (GYM) service business is feasible to run. The B/C Ratio value is 1.84>1, then the fitness center (GYM) service business is feasible to run. This study aims to analyze the effect of age at first marriage, education, household income and number of children still alive on the duration of use of contraceptives in Siak Regency. The methods used in this research are correlation and quantitative methods. Quantitative descriptive analysis is a study that uses numbers. The data from the information examined in this study are: primary data. Methods of data analysis using multiple regression with the help of SPSS Version 20.00. The results of this study indicate that partially and simultaneously the variables of age at first marriage, education, household income and number of children have a significant effect on the duration of use of contraceptives in Siak Regency.Keywords: Age of first marriage, education, household income, number of children still alive, duration of use of contraceptives

This study aims to determine the family income, education of wives and age at first marriage on contraceptive use in fertile aged women in Pekanbaru City. This research is a primary research which data collection using a research questionnaire. The total population of the study was all users of active contraceptives in Pekanbaru City as many as 321,274 people, then based on the Taroyamane formula with a level of 10%, a total sample of 100 respondents was obtained. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative using multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that family income, wife's education and age at first marriage have an effect on the use of contraceptives in women of childbearing age in Pekanbaru City together or simultaneously. However, partially the variables of family income and wife's education have a significant positive effect on contraceptive use among women of childbearing age in Pekanbaru City. However, age at first marriage did not have a significant effect on contraceptive use in women of childbearing age in Pekanbaru City. Family income is the dominant factor affecting contraceptive use in women of childbearing age in Pekanbaru City.Keywords: family income, wife's education, age at first marriage, contraception use

This study aims to determine the effect of Social, Economic, and Demographic Variables on Reflective Mobility to Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City, to people who do shuttle mobility or commuting to Pekanbaru on the same day. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research method. The object this research is people who do reflective mobility in Pekanbaru on the same day. The population in this study amounted to 5572 people. While samples taken were 98 people used probability sampling and data collection methods using questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that 1) social variables consisting of education level, economic variables consisting of monthly income and marital status have significant effect on reflective mobility in the city of Pekanbaru. while demographic variables consisting of the number of dependents has no significant effect on reflective mobility in the city of Pekanbaru.Keywords: Social, Economic, Demographic, and Return Mobility Variables in Pekanbaru City

This study aims to determine to analyze the empowerment program that has been carried out to increase the income of the fishing community in the Pambang Pesisir village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. The object of research is the fishing community in the Pambang Pesisir village. The sampling method used in this study was the simple random sampling technique. This study uses secondary data and primary data taken from the results of distributing questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that several empowerment activities that have been carried out by the government in Pambang Pesisir Village include; boat assistance for fishermen, assistance for fishing gear (nets), cultivation of catfish and other freshwater fish, establishing institutions for fishermen such as cooperatives, and conducting training and guidance to fishing communities. The empowerment activities carried out by the government have not been maximal in their implementation. On the one hand, fishermen are also quite helped by these assistance and activities, but the implementation is still inefficient, due to the lack of seriousness of the government in carrying out these empowerment activities, which is still lacking in equity in assistance. Therefore, empowerment has less effect on the income level of fishermen in Pambang Pesisir Village.Keywords: Empowerment of fishing communities, income

This study aims to determine the effect of the average industrial wage and education level on labor absorption in the manufacturing industry sector in Riau Province, and this study also aims to determine which factors have the greatest influence on employment in the manufacturing industry sector in Riau Province. The data used is time series data for the period 2006-2020. The data used in this study is time series data from 2006-2020, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The independent variable in this study is the Manufacturing Industry Average Wage (X1) and Education Level (X2) as seen from the Average Years of Schooling (RLS), while the dependent variable is Labor Absorption in the Manufacturing Industry Sector (Y). The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression method with the help of SPSS version 23.0 application. The results of the study indicate that partially the average wage of the manufacturing industry has an effect on employment in the manufacturing industry sector in Riau Province with tcount > ttable i.e. 7,573 > 2,179, while the level of education has no effect on employment in the Manufacturing industry in Riau Province with tcount < t table ie 1.255 < 2.179. The biggest factor influencing employment in the manufacturing industry sector in Riau Province is the average industrial wage variable with a probability value (sig) of 0.000 <0.233. Simultaneously, the average industrial wage and education level have an effect on the employment of the manufacturing industry in Riau Province in 2006-2020 with an Adjusted R2 of 92.9% while 7.1% is influenced by other factors not examined.Keywords: employment in the manufacturing sector and wages in the manufacturing industry
