Abstract

Formasi Gumai dan Formasi Baturaja merupakan dua dari beberapa satuan batuan yang terdiri dari batugamping di daerah Muaradua, Ogan Komring Ulu, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Komposisi geokimia merupakan sisi yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini pada kelompok batugamping dari Formasi Gumai dan Formasi Baturaja. Kadar oksida utama pada contoh diketahui menggunakan perangkat XRF, sedangkan unsur jarang dan unsur tanah jarang dengan ICP-MS. Bivariate plots, koefisien determinasi, dan pearson correlation coefficient dimanfaatkan untuk membedakan batugamping dari kedua unit batuan ini. Rataan unsur tanah jarang pada batugamping Formasi Baturaja (89,79 ppm) jauh lebih tinggi dari contoh yang sama dari Formasi Gumai (33,63 ppm). Melalui studi ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua kelompok batugamping memiliki proses pembentukan berbeda. Formasi Baturaja lebih banyak dipengaruhi oleh bahan klastik dengan mengacu pada komposisi Al2O3, Fe2O3T, dan Er/Nd. Kondisi lingkungan lebih oksidatif pada batugamping Formasi Baturaja dikonfirmasi oleh anomali Ce. Pengaruh material terrigenous pada Formasi Baturaja dan Formasi Gumai dapat disimpulkan melalui perbandingan Y/Ho.

Abstract

Pembahasan utama penelitian ini meliputi ragam fasies pengendapan batugamping Formasi Batununggal yang tersingkap di daerah Binuang, Kalimantan Selatan. Analisis petrografi terhadap delapan belas sampel batugamping menunjukkan bahwa jenis batugamping yang ada meliputi wackestone, packstone, grainstone, boundstone, dan batugamping kristalin. Lingkungan pengendapan batugamping ini meliputi laut dangkal hingga lerengan lokal dengan sirkulasi terbuka di wilayah belakang terumbu, saluran pada landaian terbatas dan dataran pasang-surut, fasies sayap terumbu hingga lereng depan terumbu. Formasi Batununggal yang berumur kapur Awal hadir sebagai olistolit di dalam Formasi Keramaian yang berumur Kapur Akhir hingga Paleosen Akhir.Kata kunci: Batugamping, petrografi, mikrofasies, formasi.

Abstract

Late Pleistocene to Quarternary volcanic rock units of the Kalipalung, Kalibabak, and Lekopiko Formations are well cropped out at East Lombok area, composed predominantly of volcanic breccias. The volcanic breccia of the Kalipalung Formation composed of andesite, porphyry andesite, basaltic andesite, basalt, and altered igneous rocks fragments. The frequence of the occurrence of the andesites and basalts is balanced. The volcanic breccia of the Kalibabak Formation composed predominantly of andesite, porphyry andesite, and rarely basaltic andesite and basalt rock fragments. The volcanic breccia of the Lekopiko Formation composed predominantly of pumice and less of andesite rock fragments, as well as sand and conglomeratic sands. XRD analysis of selected volcanic breccias matrix shows that the plagioclase change from labradorite and andesine on the Kalipalung and Kalibabak Formation to andesine, oligoclase and albite on the Lekopiko Formation. From the old to young formations, the orthopyroxene and clinopyroxene change to orthopyroxene, and finally these minerals was dissapeared. The clay minerals of montmorilonite commomly preserved on the old formation, it dissapeared and replaced by kaolinite in the young formation. Based on the difference test between two means it appears that the Kalipalung and Kalibabak Formations are similar on their mineralogical characters. On the other hand, the Kalipalung Formatian has a real difference on the mineralogical character with the Lekopiko Formation, as well as the Kalibabak Formation with the Lekopiko Formations. Keywords: Earth Lombok, breccias matrix, mineralogy

Abstract

Batugamping Formasi Berai yang berumur Miosen tersingkap di Gunung Talikur dan sekitarnya, Kabupaten Tapin, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Hingga saat ini masih sedikit publikasi ilmiah tentang Formasi Berai yang membahas aspek sedimentologi secara rinci. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan lingkungan pengendapan batuan. Pengujian petrografi terhadap tigapuluh dua sampel batugamping memperlihatkan fasies batugamping, yang meliputi wackestone, packstone, grainstone, dan boundstone. Batugamping Formasi Berai ini terendapkan dengan keadaan genanglaut, meliputi beberapa lingkungan, yaitu: lerengan lokal terumbu belakang, tepi landaian atau lerengan pada paparan tertampi, sayap terumbu, dan bangunan terumbu organik.

Abstract

Microfacies and diagenetic aspects of limestones in the South Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara have studied to investigate the deposition mechanism of the rocks and history of geological process after the rocks deposition. The cropped out of limestones in the research area includes into four rock units, are Aitutu Formation from Triassic, Nakfunu Formation from Early Cretaceous, Menu Formation from Late Cretaceous, and Ofu Formation from Paleogene. Limestone petrography analysis have been done on eighteen samples from the Aitutu Formation, fourty two samples from the Nakfunu Formation, nineteen samples from the Menu Formation, and seven samples from the Ofu Formation. Based on the study of limestones mikrofasies and diagenesis that has been done, proved are the fourth formation could be act as a source and reservoir for hydrocarbon. Keywords: Limestone, petrography, microfacies, diagenetic, hydrocarbon

Abstract

The Early Miocene limestone  of  Baturaja Formation crops out along the Air Saka Section, having a measured  thickness  of 247 metres. This carbonate  formation  lies conformabty  on the siliciclastic  sediments  of Talangakar Formation, and it is in turn, conformably   overlain  by the silicidastic  sediments   of Gumai  Formation.  The limestone was affected  by several diagenetic processes, such as bioturbation,   fossil cavity filling,  replacement,  cementation, recrystallization, micritization, dolomitization,  authigenic-mineral  formation, compaction,   dissofution,   stylolitization, and fracturing.  Some  of these diagenetic processes have a very weak to moderate coeficient  of interrelationship. Keywords:Petrography, carbonate grains, cementation, meteoric, statistical test

Abstract

Microfacies and diagenesis of limestones from the Nakfunu Formation have been studied to tracing the depositional mechanism and post depositional geological histories of the rocks. Limestone samples randomly taken from the field on the Cretaceous rock formation, for petrographic analysis. Petrogrtaphic analysis of the fourty two limestone samples showing that the type of the limestones are packstone, wackestone, and mudstone. The depositional environments of this formation are include basin margin, open sea shelf near the lower slope, and deep sea basin with slow sedimentation. The limestones have affected by various kinds of diagenetic proccesses post-sedimentation. The diagenetic procceses recorded under the polarization microscope as: cementation, replacement, silicification, recrystallization, dolomitization, compaction, fracturing, and dissolution.Keywords: Cretaceous, limestone, petrography, microfacies, diagenesis.

Abstract

Batugamping Formasi Sentolo yang berumur Miosen Tengah - Pliosen tersingkap di lintasan Pengasih, Kabupaten Kulonprogo. Pengukuran stratigrafi rinci di lintasan sepanjang empat kilometer adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan lingkungan pengendapan batuan. Pengujian petrografi terhadap tigapuluh tiga sampel batugamping digunakan untuk mempertajam interpretasi sedimentologi batugamping. Formasi Sentolo ini terendapkan dengan keadaan susut-laut, meliputi beberapa lingkungan, dari tepi landaian dalam, runtuhan lereng depan, sayap terumbu, tepi landaian atau lerengan pada paparan tertampi sampai lerengan lokal terumbu belakang.Kata kunci - Batugamping, petrografi, bioklastika, sedimentologi.

Abstract

Aspek mikrofasies dan diagenesis batugamping Formasi Baturaja di sepanjang lintasan Air Kiti, Sumatera Selatan, telah dipelajari guna mengetahui mekanisme pengendapan batuan dan sejarah proses geologi paska pengendapan batuan. Percontoh batugamping telah diambil secara sistematis pada formasi batuan yang berumur Miosen Awal tersebut, dan dipakai untuk bahan pengujian petrografi di laboratorium. Analisis petrografi telah dilakukan terhadap dua puluh empat puluh dua percontoh batugamping memperlihatkan bahwa jenisnya adalah batugamping mudstone, wackestone, packstone, floatstone, rudstone, bafflestone dan bindstone. Lingkungan pengendapan batugamping Formasi Baturaja meliputi fasies terumbu belakang, bangunan terumbu, sayap terumbu dan terumbu depan. Beragam proses diagenesis pasca pengendapan batuan, yang meliputi: bioturbasi, penyemenan, neomorfisme, pemikritan, pemampatan, peretakan, dan pelarutan.Kata kunci: Baturaja, batugamping, petrografi, mikrofasies, diagenesis.

Abstract

The limestones of the Oligo-Miocene Rajamandala Formation cropped out at Sanghyang section, West Bandung District. Detailed stratigraphic section measured out along this 2.5 km section to predict the development of their depositional environments. This Rajamandala Formation having measured of 180 m thickness, and composed of boundstone, rudstone, grainstone, packstone, wackestone, and comm only deposited at regression basin. This Oligo-Miocene formation was situated at the southern part of the Eurasian continent foreland basin. The depositional environment of [his formation was initiated in core-reef to fore-reef slope facies. The deposition becomes interbeded of fore-reef slope to reef-flank facies with several core-reef facies. Due to regression event, the depositional environment change and jinalized by slope and shelf edges facies of carbonate platform.Keywords: Core-reef, fore-reef, reef-flank, slope and shelf edge.
