Abstract

Pisang raja bulu (Musa paradisiaca L. cv. Raja Bulu) merupakan salah satu buah tropikal yang banyak tumbuh di wilayah Asia Tenggara termasuk Indonesia dan Malaysia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bibit pisang raja buluh dalam jumlah besar dan dalam waktu yang singkat melalui pemberian pupuk daun sebagai sumber nutrisi secara in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium kultur jaringan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas HKBP Nomensen, Medan. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial tiga ulangan dengan jenis medium kultur jaringan (M) sebagai perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan media pupuk daun Growmore (M2) dan Bayfolan (M3) dapat digunakan sebagai media kultur dalam perbanyakan mikro pisang raja bulu

Abstract

Secara umum, tanaman dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya akan air, udara dan unsur hara (nutrisi) diperoleh dari dalam tanah melalui serapan akar. Dengan demikian, agar tanaman dapat tumbuh dan berproduksi secara maksimal membutuhkan kondisi tanah yang mampu menyediakan kebutuhannya selama periode pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh pupuk kandang sapi plus terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kacang tanah. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok non faktorial tiga ulangan dengan dosis pupuk kendang sapi plus sebagai perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa walaupun berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap variabel pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kacang tanah, dosis pupuk kandang sapi 50% pupuk kandang sapi + N, P, K (S7) merupakan perlakuan yang paling sesuai untuk tanaman kacang tanah dibandingkan perlakuan yang lain karena mampu menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang tanah tertinggi.

Abstract

This paper consists of two researches. A research to identify the microbial composition and density of various types of indigenous microorganisms (IMO) solutions was carried out descriptively. Another research aimed to study the effect of the types of IMO on the growth and yield of peanut was carried out using a randomized block design with three replications and two treatment factors, namely the types of IMO consisting of IMO of tamarillo, pineapple and orange peels, and the dose of chicken manure with the levels of 0, 10, 20 and 30 tons/ha. The IMOs were applied at a concentration of 45 ml/liter, each. The results showed that the IMO of tamarillo, pineapple and orange peels contained different densities of at least six types of microbes, namely: Pseudomonas sp; Azotobacter sp; Bacillus sp; Actinomycetes sp; Streptomyces sp and P (phosphate) solubilizing microbes, but the type of IMO had no significant effect on plant height and stem diameter at 6 WAP as well as the number of filled pods and the yield per plot. The three types of IMO gave the same good effect, as indicated by the production of 197 percent compared to the yield potential of Gajah variety.

Abstract

Introduction: This research was conducted to determine the effect of several types of local microorganism solutions and manures on the growth and yield of peanut and their impact on the physical properties of ultisols. Materials and Methods: The researches was conducted in Simalingkar B, Medan using Factorial Randomized Block Design within three replications. The first factor was types of microbe sources of local microbial solutions, include un-treated waste (M0), pineapple (M1), orange (M2), and tamarillo (M3) wastes. The second factor was manure types, inluce un-treated manure (P0), chicken (P1), cow (P2), and goat (P3) manures. The parameters were: soil physical characteristics (bulk density, water content and total of pore space), plant height, stem diameter, number of pods, and dry seeds yield. Results: The types of local microorganism solutions only affect to plant height of peanut, but has insignificant effect on the physical properties of ultisols, and stem diameter, the number of filled pods.plant-1, and the dry seeds yield.ha-1 of peanut. The types of manure had significantly effected on plant height and number of filled pods.plant-1, but had insignificant effect on stem diameter, dry seeds yield.ha-1 and the physical properties of ultisols. The interaction of MOL sources and manure did not significantly affect the growth and yield of peanut as well as the physical properties of ultisols. Orange MOL and chicken manure could be increase the plant height of peanut by 18.61% and 6.75%, respectively, compared to un-treated. Goat manure showed the highest number of pods.plant-1 by 6.32% compared to un-treated.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman petani dalam mengelola usahatani kelapa sawit rakyat berkelanjutan, yang dilaksanakan bulan Nopember 2020 di Desa Sumbul Kecamatan STM Hilir Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Kegiatan pengabdian diikuti 25 petani kelapa sawit rakyat sebagai partisipan. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan partisipatif melalui penyuluhan yang meliputi, ceramah, diskusi dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan kegiatan disimpulkan; terjadi peningkatan petani yang paham bahwa faktor ekologi-biofisik konservasi merupakan indikator penting dalam pengelolaan usahatani kelapa sawit rakyat berkelanjutan; terjadi peningkatan jumlah petani yang paham bahwa penanaman penutup lahan dapat memperbaiki tingkat kesuburan lahan; terjadi peningkatan jumlah petani yang paham bahwa tumpang sari merupakan tindakan konservasi; terjadi peningkatan jumlah petani yang paham bahwa penggunaan pupuk anorganik terus-menerus akan merusak struktur lahan usahatani; terjadi peningkatan jumlah petani yang paham bahwa penggunaan pupuk organik pada lahannya merupakan  tindakan konservasi; terjadi peningkatan jumlah petani yang paham bahwa keikutsertaan dalam kelompok tani atau koperasi berperan dalam pengembangan dan pengelolaan usahatani kelapa sawit rakyat berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan kesimpulan disarankan; agar pemerintah melakukan penyuluhan secara rutin kepada petani kelapa sawit rakyat; agar pemerintah melakukan pelatihan kepada petani kelapa sawit rakyat untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia sektor pertanian dan membantu petani kelapa sawit rakyat  dalam penyediaan sarana dan prasarana pendukung usahatani secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuian petani tentang aspek konservasi dan sosial-ekonomi dalam pengembangan atau pembudidayaan usahatani sawit rakyat berkelanjutan. Pengabdian ini diadakan pada Nopember 2020  di Kecamatan Sinembah Tanjung Muda (STM) Hilir, yang berlokasi di Desa Sumbul. Kegiatan pengabdian diikuti 20 petani partisipan. Metode yang adalah penyuluhan melalui; ceramah, focus group discussion (FGD) dilanjutkan proses evaluasi. Sesuai dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan diambil kesimpulan; a) Petani partisipan yang memahami konsep perkebunan berkelanjutan meningkat dan yang paham bahwa pengelolaan atau budidaya kelapa sawit berkelanjutan berdampak bagi peningkatan pendapatan petani juga meningkat; b) terjadi peningakan petani partisipan yang memahami aspek konservasi lingkungan penting  dalam pengembangan sawit rakyat  berkelanjutan; c) Terdapat peningkatan  petani partisipan yang paham bahwa penggunaan pupuk kimiawi berbahaya bagi kondisi usahatani dan lingkungan; d) Terjadi peningkatan partisipan yang memahami bahwa kondisi sosial dan ekonomi merupakan merupakan indikator penting pengembangan kelapa sawit rakyat yang berkelanjutan.

A study consisted of two growing seasons of lettuce was held to observe the residual effect of eco enzyme and chicken manure on the growth and yield of lettuce on the second growing season.  The research was held in Medan and was done using factorial randomized block design, with two treatments and three replications.  The first factor was the concentration of eco enzyme, with three levels of 0, 1 and 2 ml/L.  The second one was the dose of chicken manure, with three levels of 0, 15 and 30 tons/hectare.  The application of the eco enzyme and chicken manure was done only on the first growing season. The parameters were: number of leaves, root volume, fresh weight and the total yield of lettuce. The result showed that there was a residual effect of eco enzyme and chicken manure application on the growth and production of lettuce.  The concentration of eco enzyme had a very significant effect on the number of leaves at 14 DAP, but there was no significant effect on other parameters. The relationship between eco enzyme concentration and the number of leaves at 14 DAP was linear.  The dose of chicken manure had a very significant effect on all variables at each time of observation. The relationship between the dose of chicken manure and the number of leaves at 14, 21 and 35 DAP, the fresh and total yield was also linear. The relationship between the dose of chicken manure and the number of leaves at 28 DAP and the root volume was quadratic, with the optimum doses of chicken manure were: 27.05 and 22.5 tons/ha, respectively.  No interaction was observed between the concentration of eco enzyme and the dose of chicken manure on all variables at each time of observation.
