Abstract

Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) merupakan penyebab kematian ke empat tersering di dunia dan diperkirakan akan menjadi penyebab kematian ke tiga tersering tahun 2020. Dengan banyaknya pasien PPOK dan meningkatnya angka harapan hidup, tindakan bedah pada pasien-pasien PPOK juga akan meningkat baik berupa tindakan invasif minimal maupun tindakan bedah besar. Manajemen perioperatif yang baik dapat mengurangi insidens komplikasi paru pascabedah (postoperative pulmonary complications, PPC).Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is currently the fourth leading cause of death in the world, and will be the third in 2020. The increase of COPD patients with improved life expectancy will likely increase the need of surgical procedures. Best perioperative management will reduce the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications (PPC).
