Abstract

Mauidzul Amin Al-Islamy Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic Boarding School in Pamekasan that has undergone significant development in its educational system. This development includes integrating traditional salaf methods, such as the teaching of kitab kuning and Qur'an memorization (tahfidz), with modern education. This study aims to analyze the historical development of the pesantren, the curriculum system applied, and the impact of educational transformation on the quality of students (santri). The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a historical and case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and relevant document analysis. The findings reveal that the educational transformation at Mauidzul Amin Al-Islamy has successfully improved the quality of the santri, both in their religious understanding and academic competencies. The students excel not only in Islamic scholarly traditions but also possess the skills to compete in the broader world. Flagship programs such as Qur'an memorization, mastery of foreign languages (Arabic, English, Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese), and scientific activities like the Education Festival are the highlights of the pesantren.

Abstract

The ease of using social media today makes many universities use social media as part of their marketing strategy such as Instagram marketing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Instagram marketing on the interaction of posting at universities at the Islamic University of Indonesia. Instagram marketing can be evaluated based on post typology, namely advertising, event, information, entertainment, and achievement. The analysis used multiple regression analysis with OLS estimation from 330 posts on the Instagram of the Islamic University of Indonesia in a twelve-month period using the SPSS application program. This study aims to help identify which variables can generate greater interaction between users, and provide strategic suggestions for marketing management on social networks. The results of the data analysis show (1) Advertising has no effect on the interaction of posting (2) Events have no effect on the interaction of posting (3) Entertainment has a positive effect on the interaction of posting (4) achievement has an effect on the interaction of posting on likes but does not have an effect on the interaction of posting on comments.

Abstract

The spread of fake news (hoaxes) through social media has become a serious challenge in Indonesia due to its impact on social stability and national security. This study aims to explore various types of hoaxes circulating on social media, the legal frameworks used to address them, and the role of society in preventing their spread. This research employs a qualitative approach through document analysis of relevant regulations, such as the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP), as well as case studies of viral hoaxes in Indonesia. The findings indicate that hoaxes can be categorized into several types, including hate speech based on ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA), public fraud, defamation, and false information that causes panic. Health-related hoaxes have also become a significant concern, particularly during the pandemic. Law enforcement against hoax perpetrators must be carefully implemented to avoid violating freedom of speech. Therefore, digital literacy is essential to raise public awareness in identifying and preventing the spread of hoaxes.

Abstract

The development of digital media has transformed Islamic preaching from conventional methods into interactive and participatory communication spaces. Among these platforms, TikTok has become one of the most influential media for da’wah, especially among Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the role of TikTok as an Islamic da’wah medium in fostering religious imitation, sympathy, and empathy among young Muslims. This study examines TikTok’s role as an Islamic da’wah medium in shaping religious imitation, sympathy, and empathy among Generation Z audiences. Employing a qualitative content analysis of selected Islamic da’wah accounts alongside in-depth interviews with Generation Z users, this research explores how religious messages are presented, internalised, and emotionally responded to on the platform. The findings indicate that TikTok facilitates religious imitation through repetitive exposure to visible religious practices, encourages sympathy by presenting relatable moral narratives, and fosters empathy through emotionally resonant storytelling and interactive features such as comments and duets. Using a qualitative approach with a field research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with followers of TikTok da’wah creators and observations of their content and user interactions. The findings show that TikTok-based digital da’wah plays a significant role in shaping Generation Z’s religious awareness through positive forms of social imitation. Qur’anic values such as hikmah (wisdom) and maw‘izhah hasanah (good counsel) are contextually represented, making da’wah more engaging, educational, and capable of fostering religious reflection among young social media users. Therefore, TikTok as a medium of Islamic da’wah plays an essential role in nurturing a reflective, empathetic, and contextually relevant form of religiosity within the dynamics of digital culture.

Abstract

Generation Z, as digital natives, are highly exposed to the dynamics of social media, which can shape both positive and negative attitudes, particularly regarding religious tolerance. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in instilling the value of tolerance among Generation Z by utilizing social media as a medium for non-formal learning. The method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach, examining relevant academic literature such as journals, books, and reports. The findings indicate that tolerance values derived from the Qur’an and Hadith can be integrated into Islamic education in ways that resonate with the digital lifestyle of Generation Z. Furthermore, Islamic education, through formal, non-formal, and social media-based approaches, is effective in cultivating tolerant, moderate, and inclusive attitudes among the younger generation. This study emphasizes that social media should not only be viewed as a challenge but also as a potential platform for nurturing tolerance and global harmony.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Love Curriculum, with a particular focus on its integration at Pesantren Al-Amien Prenduan. Using a qualitative approach with document analysis, field observations, and semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, the study investigates how the Love Curriculum’s nine core values empathy, compassion, tolerance, justice, respect, humanity, cooperation, responsibility, and creativity are practiced within pesantren education. The findings reveal that Al-Amien embeds these values not only in formal classroom learning but also in dormitory life, communal worship, and student organizations, creating an environment that nurtures students’ intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth. The novelty of this study lies in its examination of how pesantren education, traditionally rooted in Islamic values, adapts and operationalizes a state-issued curriculum to promote religious moderation, multiculturalism, and the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Unlike previous studies that analyze tolerance education primarily in public schools, this research demonstrates that pesantrens can serve as unique models for integrating love-based pedagogy with religious and national identity. The study concludes that the Love Curriculum at Al-Amien contributes to countering intolerance, strengthening national commitment, and cultivating inclusive, socially responsible graduates thereby offering a replicable model for Indonesian and global Islamic education in the era of rapid social change.
