Abstract

THE EFFECT OF SCIENTIFIC LITERACY AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS ON MASTERING BASIC BIOLOGICAL CONCEPTS AbstractThe efforts to develop scientific literacy and critical thinking skills are indispensable in addressing technological advances in the 4.0 era, even though the effort is still low. This research aims to determine the effect of scientific literacy on mastering basic concepts of biology, determine the effect of critical thinking skills on mastering basic concepts of biology, and determine the effect of scientific literacy and critical thinking skills together on mastering basic concepts of biology. The ex post facto method was used as a research method with a sample number of 182 students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. Multiple regression techniques are used as data analysis.  The results showed a significant effect between scientific literacy on mastering basic concepts of biology, critical thinking skills on mastering basic concepts of biology, as well as scientific literacy and critical thinking skills together on mastering basic concepts of biology.  AbstrakUpaya pengembangan literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat diperlukan dalam menyongsong kemajuan teknologi di era 4.0 meskipun upaya tersebut masih rendah. Tujuan riset ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi sains terhadap penguasaan konsep dasar biologi, mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan berpikir kritis terhadap penguasaan konsep dasar biologi, dan mengetahui pengaruh literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis secara bersama-sama terhadap penguasaan konsep dasar biologi. Metode ex post facto dijadikan sebagai metode penelitian dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 182 mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. Analisa data menggunakan teknik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara literasi sains dengan penguasaan konsep dasar biologi, keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan penguasaan konsep dasar biologi, serta literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis secara bersama-sama dengan penguasaan konsep dasar biologi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan alat peraga cobertif (corong berhitung aktif) dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan alat peraga cobertif (corong berhitung aktif) di MI Nurul Huda Pakuhaji Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang dipakai peneliti ialah Research and Development (R&D) model 4D (Four-D). Menurut Thiagarajan model 4D tersebut terdapat 4 tahap, yaitu tahap define (pendefinisian), tahap design tahap (perancangan), tahap develop (pengembangan), dan tahap disseminate (penyebaran). Dari data yang diperoleh dari pengembangan alat peraga cobertif ini mendapatkan jumlah skor keseluruhan dari beberapa ahli validasi sebesar 88,9% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil respon siswa sebesar 85% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”.Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the procedure for developing cobertive teaching aids (active counting funnels) and to determine the feasibility of cobertive teaching aids (active counting funnels) at MI Nurul Huda Pakuhaji Tangerang. The type of research used by the researcher is Research and Development (R&D) 4D (Four-D) model according to Thiagarajan's theory, namely define (definition), design (design), develop (development), and disseminate (dissemination). The type and model of this method was chosen because this development model is more effective for developing learning tools. From the data obtained by this cobertif teaching aid, the total score from several validation experts is 88.9% so that it gets the Very Eligible category.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop Image Media learning media to calculate the multiplication of natural numbers for class II students at SDN Tejamari, Baros District. This research uses the type of research and development (R&D) from S. Thiagarajan's development model, which has 4 stages of development, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminating. The media developed is validated by material experts and media experts before conducting initial field trials on students. Data was collected using questionnaires from media experts, material experts, class II teacher questionnaires, student questionnaires, interview observations and documentation. Data resulting from research were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the validation results, material experts got a score of 46 with a percentage of 83% with the criteria "Good", validation from media experts with a score of 44 with a percentage of 88% with the criteria "Very Good", and the results of class II teacher validation with a score of 99 with a percentage 94% with "Very Good" criteria. As for the results of the initial field trials, the percentage was 90% - 100% with the criteria "Very Good". Overall, the learning media Image Media is suitable for use by making it easier to calculate multiplication of natural numbers by students who have difficulty calculating multiplication using direct observation. This image media makes it easier for students to learn multiplication. Based on the results of the Pre-Test before using image media and the Post-Test using image media, the average score was 0.898 with high criteria. And obtained an N-Gain percentage score of 89.833 in the effective category. So, the learning media Image Media has been effectively used for students in improving learning outcomes for the arithmetic operation of multiplying natural numbers.
