Abstract

This study aims to look at how Islam—besides the Orthodox—can accept Greek traditions that are not derived from Islamic sources. Since the Prophet Muhammad's time, Muslims tend to reject sources that come from Jews and Christians who are considered to have reduced the facts. Noteworthy, Civilization's progress in the Islamic world is inseparable from Greek traditions such as philosophy, medicine, and others that originated from Hellenism. The entry of this tradition gave enthusiasm to Muslim scholars to translate Greek works into Arabic. The Greek tradition, especially philosophy, gave distinguished names such as Ibn Sina and al-Farabi. However, after entering the early 15th Century, the study of philosophy stagnated until the 19th century. The Islamic world's scientific condition is far below the progress of the Western nations, both in technology, economics, and education. Modern Century Muslim thinkers realized that they had fallen behind the West and had to pursue it by reforming Islam. Islamic reformers emerged from various Islamic worlds such as Egypt, India, Turkey, and Southeast Asia countries.

Abstract

Entering the era of industrial revolution 4.0, technology is growing rapidly and has a significant influence on life in Indonesia, especially for children. Accessing the internet to do homework from the school is sometimes misused by them due to a lack of guidance in accessing them, such as accessing immoral videos. According to Susanto, Chair of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), in 2018 counted until September there were 525 cases of pornography and cybercrime in children. One of the efforts that can be done in overcoming it is through character education that is inspired by surah Al-Isra (17): 32 and Al-Tahrim (66): 6 which instructs to guard themselves and their families from bad deeds, especially zina. The form of Quran character education will be taught using a traditional game in the form of dakon or congkak. The research method in this paper uses direct observation in several schools in the Yogyakarta area. This study uses qualitative data with primary and secondary sources. The technique of collecting data uses literature review, documentation, and interviews with elementary school (SD) level students. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of children in education and advance the nation's next-generation in various ways. With the game dakon or congkak, later it will be explained about babakan hawa sanga or closing nine holes in the body. The game will be integrated with the Quranic values by explaining the verses of the Quran that are following the game.

Abstract

Pesantren merupakan wadah bagi seorang anak untuk belajar tidak hanya ilmu agama tetapi juga sebagai pembentukan karakter. Tujuan penelitian mengenai perkembangan moral pesantren ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa anak yang baru memasuki dunia pesantren masih perlu beradaptasi dengan lingkungan dan moral seseorang belum langsung bertumbuh dengan baik. Dengan kata lain, yakni secara teoritis penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat menambah khazanah keilmuan perkembangan pendidikan moral di pesantren yang dilihat dari kacamata teori seorang tokoh filsafat. Sedangkan secara praktis, orang tua atau tenaga pendidik bisa mengetahui bahwa ada yang namanya tahap perkembangan moral. Oleh karena itu tenaga pendidik dan orang tua diharapkan lebih bersabar dalam menumbuhkan perkembangan moral anak. Adapun metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber-sumber terdahulu. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan moral pada seseorang ketika baru menempuh pendidikan di pesantren itu bertahap, karena mereka perlu beradaptasi pada lingkungan sekitarnya. Hal ini sejalan dengan teori perkembangan moral yang dikemukakan oleh John Dewey, yakni pra-moral, konvensional dan otonom.
