Abstract

This research aimed to produce chempoints learning media oriented to chemical literacy on acid-base material and to determine the validation of the game’s effectiveness as a media for learning chemistry on acid-base material. Chempoints is an educational game adapted from a scrabble game with modifying the appearance and rules of the game by linking the material studied. Making media with Design Based Research included the stages of analysis, design and development. Product validation assessments were obtained from chemist and multimedia experts validators. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that for all items and aspects measured, the validity assessment of chemical literacy oriented chempoints learning media on acid-base material obtained valid and good criteria with an average value of rcount of 0.86. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the chempoints learning media oriented to chemical literacy is suitable for use in learning chemistry on the acid-base material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the appearance of chemical uno spin learning media and analyze the results of the validation test of chemical uno spin learning media on the elemental periodic system material. This research method uses the Design Based Research (DBR) method. Flowcharts and storyboards contain the stages of making chemical uno spin media including media design, media components and rules for using chemical uno spin media. The uno spin chemistry learning media is expected to be a tool in the learning process regarding the periodic system material through educational and challenging games. Then the validation test was carried out on three validators, namely media experts, learning experts and content experts. The validation result data shows a value of 0.89, which indicates that the uno spin chemical media is valid and can be used as a tool in the learning process of the element periodic system material.

Abstract

Research has been carried out using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The purpose of this study is to obtain data regarding the suitability of the profile of the completeness of tools and materials, arrangement of tools and materials, laboratory administration, furniture and educational media, as well as the implementation of laboratory practicum, which will then be used as the basis for policy making to the authorities. The instruments used were questionnaires, observation sheets and interview sheets to chemistry teachers and laboratory coordinators. The results of this study indicate that the availability of tools is included in the complete category (60%) and the availability of complete materials (72%). The administration of tools and materials is in the complete category (72%) and the labor administration is in the very complete category (85%). Furniture and educational media belong to the very complete category (77%). Furthermore, practicum implementation is included in the good category (52%).

Abstract

The Research based on the necessity of attractive media for effective nuclear charge and Slater rules learning. Accordingly, in this research Elchem Card Game learning media was made, which was a card game with flow of use inspired by Intermolecular Forces Game. By using Design Based Research method, this research intended to result the product and to analyze the result of product’s validation test and trial test. Validation test of Elchem Card Game results an average calculation 0,85 in learning aspect, 0,86 in concept substance aspect, 0,86 in language aspect, and 0,86 in media visual aspect. As for trial test shows that Elchem Card Game is very feasible with percentage in learning aspect is 94%, in concept substance aspect is 100%, in language aspect is 94%, and in media visual aspect is 87%. Therefore, it can be concluded that Elchem Card Game can be used as learning media in effective nuclear charge and Slater rules concepts
