Abstract

AbstractBearing is an important component in the automotive industry that is needed to be made of material having good properties. Aluminum graphite matrix composite becomes a selected tribology application in self-lubricating bearing. This composite has good wear resistance andlow density compared with bronze bearing material so that gives more economical values. This research is done by the method of powder metallurgy with aluminum matrix composite material using an additive of 5% graphite weight fraction. Variable compactions (P) are 400 MPa, 500MPa, 600 MPa and sintering temperature is 5500C, with variable holding times (HT) 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours. The study aims to analyze the effect of graphite content affecting the mechanical properties of aluminum graphite composite material. The test results show that the optimum condition of 5% graphite content is the density = 5.11 gr/cm3, the hardness = 54.449 HB, the compressive strength = 790 MPa, when P = 600 MPa and HT = 3 hours.Keywords: aluminium, komposit, serbuk, kompaksi, holding time.

Abstract

Kebutuhan konsumsi daging sekarang ini semakin meningkat diikuti dengan meningkatnya populasi sapi potong di dalam negeri, hendaknya diikuti dengan peningkatan jumlah pakan demi tersedianya pakan yang cukup untuk ternak sapi.Jagung merupakan sumber pangan dan pakan di Indonesia, dalam pengolahan jagung pasti akan menghasilkan sisa berupa bonggol jagung, pengolahannya yang hanya sedikit dijadikan kerajinan tangan serta digunakan alternative pengganti kayu bakar. Melihat kandungan bonggol jagung yang kaya akan karbohidrat, memungkinkan untuk dijadikan sebagai campuran pakan ternak sapi, sehingga perlu cara yang tepat untuk mengolah bonggol jagung menggunakan mesin penghancur bonggol jagung untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pakan ternak sapi.

Abstract

The coil function to convert low voltage into high voltage, which produces a spark in the spark plug. This is important for efficient combustion. In this experimental research, we analyzed the effect of comparing standard coils, imitation coils and racing coils on the performance of motorbikes with an engine capacity of 160 cc. Performance tests are carried out using the Dyno Test tool to measure torque, power and motor acceleration. In terms of torque performance (Nm), data showed that the highest performance was found in tests with a standard coil of 34.16 Nm, while the racing coil was 29.79 Nm and the imitation coil was 26.50 Nm. In terms of power performance (HP), data was obtained that the highest performance was found in tests with a racing coil of 24.5 HP, while the standard coil was 23.1 HP and the imitation coil was 21.6 HP. In terms of acceleration performance (s), data shows that motorbike acceleration using a standard coil to reach peak performance or speed (topspeed) takes 6.34 seconds, a racing coil takes 5.64 seconds and an imitation coil takes 5.82 seconds.

Abstract

One of the boiler auxiliaries for the running of the production process is the fan. The fan acts as a primary and secondary air supply and as a vacuum cleaner for the remaining ash when the boiler burns and is discharged into the atmosphere. In this fan often occurs over heat (over heat) one of the causes is the decline in oil quality. Lack of attention to the lubrication system if allowed to continue will experience over heat in the fan which will cause damage to the fan, especially the bearing due to the decrease in oil viscosity caused by operating hours and temperatures that affect the oil in the fan. The data obtained will be processed and analyzed with a Quantitative to see the effect of running hours and temperature on the kinematic viscosity of oil samples. From this study with a test of 40 ° C obtained results at 0 hours (92.88 cSt), 1923 hours (57.94 cSt), 2012 hours (53.26 cSt), 2195 hours (46.82 cSt), 2202 hours (44.75 cSt), 2207 hours (43.26 cSt). From the results of this study, running hours greatly affect the kinematic viscosity value and temperature treatment of oil affects the kinematic viscosity along with the increase in running hours
