Abstract

WIDODO, P. & VELDKAMP, J. F. 2021. The confusing taxonomy and nomenclature of Syzygiun confusum complex (Myrtaceae). Reinwardtia 20(2): 43‒49. ― The taxonomic and nomenclatural confusions surrounding the Syzygium confusum complex are elucidated. For that purpose, type specimens are designated and circumscriptions are presented for each species. Typifications, newly characterized descriptions and illustrations are presented for Syzygium korthalsii Widodo, S. confusum (Blume) Bakh.f., S. blumei (Steudel) Merr. & L.M.Perry, S. insigne (Blume) Merr. & L.M.Perry. The new species Syzygium sipirokense Widodo & Veldkamp is described.

Abstract

ISKANDAR, E.A.P. & VELDKAMP, J.F. 2004. A revision of Malesian Isachne sect. Isachne (Gramineae, Panicoideae, Isachneae). Reinwardtia 12 (2): 159 – 179. – There are ca. 23 species of Isachne in Malesia of which the seven belonging to sect. Isachne are treated here. Isachne miliacea Roth has been misapplied to I. minutula (Gaudich.) Kunth, as its type belongs to I. globosa (Thunb.) Kuntze. Isachne pulchella Roth is the correct name for I. dispar Trin.

VELDKAMP, J.F. 2004. The correct name for Pyrrosia hastate Ching (Polypodiaceae, Pteridophyta). Reinwardtia 12 (2): 191 -193. Pyrrosia hastata Ching (Polypodiaceae, Pteridophyta) is based on Acrostichum hastatum Thunb.(1784) non Houtt. (1783). Its correct name is P. tricuspis (Sw.) Tagawa.

Abstract

VELDKAMP, J.F. 2004. Miscellaneous notes on mainly Southeast Asian Gramineae. Reinwardtia 12(2): 135 —140. — During the preparation of a revision of the herbaceous grasses of SE Asia a few nomenclatural and taxonomic novelties were detected. New combinations are proposed in Aristida L., Kengia Packer, Rytidosperma Steud., and Urochloa P. Beauv. Aristida novaeguineae Ohwi is re-instated as a distinct species. A key to the Malesian species of Aristida L. is provided. Moorochloa Veldk. replaces Brachiaria auct., s.s.

Reinwardtia 12(4): 261 – 265. ––The correct name for Tetrastigma lanceolarium auct.non Planch. or T. leucostaphylum (Dennst.) Alston ex Mabb. (Vitaceae) in Malesia is T. rafflesiae Miq. The name T.lawsonii is superfluous and has been misapplied to a species here described as new.

Reinwardtia 12(5): 415 – 417. — The note is preliminary part for studies of Bothriochloa Kuntze in Malesia. Special caution should be given to Bothriochloa intermedia (R. Br.) A. Camus, now B. bladhii (Retz.) S.T. Blake, because of the variation, synonyms, and natural hybridization to generic level.
