Abstract

This research aims for knowing the influence a giving of oil palm seeds in the results of giving sago waste compost in main nursery. The researched was carried out at Faculty of Agricultural experiment station, UR in October 2015 – January 2016 using a randomized etely design which consist of six treatments and four replications that is 0 g/plant; 50 g/plant; 100g/plant; 150g/plant; 200 g/plant; 250 g/plant. The results of research shows that the application of sago waste compost significant effect on all parameters of observation. As for the plant height, number of leaves, diameter hump and dry weight has best value in treatment 200 g/plant. While for the root volume parameter has best value in treatment 250 g/plant. Abstract

This research was aimed to  know influence of concentrate Bio-urine of cow and to get the effective concentrate of Bio-urine of cow. The research was conducted at the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture University of  Riau  from Mei 2015 to July 2015.This research is an experimental with 5 treatments (no concentrate,30% concentrate, 40% concentrate, 50% concentrate, and 60% concentrate) with 4 replications and each  replications consist of 2 plants. Data obtained from this study were analyzed by ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test at 5%. The results showed thatgiven of some concentrate Bio-urine of cow influencing gaharu on all parameters. And given of 60% concentrate is the most effective concentrate for Seed agarwood grow up.   Key words: Seed agarwood, Bio-urine of cow.

Abstract

  To increase the effects of Giving wastewater of oil palm was conducted by the biopory method, waste is included into hole's biopori as food organisms in the soil, organism can change waste become fertilizer which required the young oil palm to growth. This research used completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial consists of 13 treatments, they are S0 = Without treatment, S1 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liters for 1 tubeunit biopory/plants, S2 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liter for 2 tube unit biopory/plants, S3 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liters for 3 tube unit biopory/plants, S4 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liters for 4 tube unit biopory/plants, S5 = LCPKS dose of 5 liters for 1 tube unit biopory/plants, S6 = LCPKS doses of 5 liters for 2 tube unit biopory/plants, S7 = LCPKS dose of 5 liters for 3 tube unit biopory/plants, S8 = LCPKS dose of 5 liters for 4 tube unit biopory/plants, S9 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liters for 1 tube unit biopory/plants, S10 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liter for 2 tube unit biopory/plants, S11 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liters for 3 tube unit biopory/plants, S12 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liters for 4 tube unit biopory/plants. Abstract

This research aimed effect of Trichocompost with oil palm bunch ash mix giving in ultisol subsoil medium on oil palm’s growth and to the effective dosage. The research was conducted fromJunetoSeptember 2015. The research was a factorial experiments using Completely Randomized Design (CRD),the factor consist of Trichocompost and oil palm bunch ash mixed (T) consisted of 5 levels, without Trichocompost and oil palm bunch ash giving (T0), 25 g/polybag Trichocompost and 16 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T1), 50 g/polybag Trichocompost and 20 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T2), 75 g/polybag Trichocompost and 24 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T3) and 100 g/polybag Trichocompost and 28 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T4). The result of the research showed that Trichocompost and oil palm bunch ash givingin ultisol subsoil medium has significantly affected on oil palm seedling’s growth in main nursery. The application of 100 g/polybag Trichocompost with 28g/polybag oil palm bunch ash was effective in increasing plant height, leaf number, steam diameter, root volume, crown root ratio and plant dry weight. Abstract

This study aims to determine the best ameliorant influence on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the pre nursery. This research was conducted at the Agriculture Experiment Station of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, from February to May 2015. The treatment were consisted of 4 ameliorants, ie: A0 : without giving ameliorant , A1 : Ameliorant ash janjangan palm oil 10 g / polybag , A2 : Ameliorant compost tangkos 10 g / polybag , A3 : Ameliorant sludge palm oil mill 10 g / polybag , A4 : Ameliorant ash boiler 10 g / polybag. Parameters measured were seedling height , number of leaves , leaf length and hump diameter. The result of the research showed that the provision of some kind of material ameliorant significant effect on seedling height , number of leaves , leaf length and hump diameter.  Giving sludge palm oil 10g / polybag is the best treatment effect on seedling height (24 cm) , the number of leaves (4.62 leaves), leaf length (19.97 cm) and hump diameter (1,5 cm).   Key word : oil palm, ameliorant, pre-nursery.

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica few L.) is a type of leafy vegetable crops are very important in Indonesia because it has a high economic value. Pakcoy much in demand as a vegetable because of high nutrient content and it tastes good. Pakcoy organic cultivation by using vermicompost can be used as a good alternative considering the potential of earthworm droppings as organic material has a relatively high nutrient content. This study aimed to determine the effect of vermicompost with various doses and got the best dose of the growth and production pakcoy. This study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with a dosage of vermicompost (V), which consists of 5 levels ie: V0= tanpa vermicompost (control),V1= vermicompost 1 kg / plot (10 ton/ha),V2= vermicompost 2 kg/plot (20 ton/ha),V3= vermicompost 3 kg/plot (30 ton/ha),V4= vermicompost 4 kg/plot (40 ton/ha). Each treatment consisted of 5 replicates so obtained 25 experimental unit. Each experimental unit, there are 16 plants and four plants including a plant sample randomly determined. Data of variance test later in ujilanjut with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The results showed that administration of Vermicompost can promote the growth and crop production pakcoy. Vermicompost at a dose of 4 kg/plot (40 ton/ha) have a better ability to increase growth and crop production pakcoy namely the fresh weight 622 g / plot, and plant fresh weight of 118.4 g unfit for consumption.
