Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of nasa, the interval of giving organic liquid organic fertilizer and get the best treatment on the growth and production of shallot plants.The research has been conducted at Experimental Garden of Agriculture Faculty of Riau University from February to April 2020 using a randomized block design whit two factors and three replications.The first factor is the concentration of (POC) Nasa which consist of three levelsconcentration 3 ml.l-1, 4 ml.l-1 and 5 ml.l-1. The second factor is the time interval which consists of three levels, every 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days.The parameters observed were plant  height, harvest age, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, weight of fresh tubers per plot, and weight of tubers that werw fit for storage per plot. Data analysis used variance and continued whith Duncan’s multiple-range test at the 5%. The results showed that the treatment of several concentration of POC Nasa  had a significant effect on tuber diameter and tuber weight per plot. Spraying time interval treatment significantly affected tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight per plot, and weight tuber worth saving per plot. The interaction of POC Nasa and spraying time interval did not have a significant effect on all parameters plant  height, harvest age, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, weight of fresh tubers per plot, and weight of tubers that werw fit for storage.Keywords :shallot, concentration POC Nasa, spraying interval.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction of the application of oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) compostand arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and the single factor of each treatment of growth and production of mung bean plants (Vigna radiata L.) in Ultisol soil. The study was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University in April - July 2019. The Research was usedfactorial completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor is the dosage of OPEFB compost (0, 37.5 and 75 g per plant) and the second factor is the dosage of AMF (0, 5 and 10 g per plant). The parameters observed were plant height, number of productive branches, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, percentage of pods per plant, weight of seeds per plant, weight of 100 seeds, percentage of effective root nodules and percentage of infected roots CMA. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using variance then the results obtained were followed by Duncan's test of 5% level. The results showed that there was an effect of interaction between OPEFB and CMA compost on the percentage of CMA infected roots, flowering age and harvest age. TKKS compost application with a dose of 75 g per plant can accelerate flowering and harvest age, increase plant height, number of productive branches, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, seed weight per plant, percentage of effective root nodules and percentage of infected roots. Application of CMA dose of 10 g per plant can accelerate flowering and harvest age, increase plant height, number of productive branches, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, weight of seeds per plant and percentage of roots infected with CMA. Keywords: mung bean, compost OPEFB, AMF, Ultisol

Abstract

Okra is a vegetable plant the has long been cultivated in Indonesia. Okra can growth on soils low fertility, such as inceptisol soils. This research was aimed to obtain the best type of organic fertilizer in improving the growth and production of grow in Inceptisol. This research was conducted at Agricultural Faculty of Universitas of Riau in October-December 2018. The provision of organic matter (P) consisting of P0 = without applying organic P1 organic fertilizer = Vermikompos 15 t. ha-1 (3kg/plot) P2 = Cow Manure 15 t. ha-1 (3kg/plot) P3 = egg shell flour 15 t. ha-1 (3kg/plot) P4 = TKKS of 15 t. ha-1 (3kg/plot). The observed parameters are the height of the plant, the number of leaves, circular stem, flowering age, harvest age, the number of crop samples and the weight of cropping samples. The Data obtained was analyzed in a statistiling and advanced tests of Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a 5% level. The results showed that some organic fertilizers such as vermicompost, cow dung, eggshell fertilizer and TKKS compost were more influential than not being given organic fertilizer. The best fertilizer in this research is cow manure that giving the best result on growth and production of okra compared to other fertilizers. Keywords: okra, vermicompos, cow manure, egg shell flour, fertilizer TKKS
