Abstract

N. SETYOWATMNDARTO,1987.The effect of dipping in Ethrel solution on ripening rate and quality of pisang Ambon (Musa paradisiaca LINN) fruits. Suppl.Berita Biologi 3 : 20 - 25.The solution of ethrel for dipping were 750 pprn, 1000 ppm and it were dipped for 2, 4, 8 minutes and control (untreated). The results showed that the treatment accelerated the ripening of pisang Ambon faster 9-1 1 days than control. These werehighly significant difference according to Duncan's multiple range test, P = 1%.The observation indicated that the colour changes, firmness and vitamin C contents did not significanly difference compared to control on every stage of the ripening So that to accelerate ripening of pisang Ambon was recommended to use 750 ppm ethrel solution for 2 minutes.

Prakoso A, Nurjanah U, Widodo W, Setyowati N, Prasetyo P. 2020. Weed growth emphasis through intercropping system of sweet corn with legumes in organic farming. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).One of the weed control technologies that are environmentally friendly and require little cost is technical culture such as intercropping planting. The aim of this study was to determine the combination of the planting intercropping sweet corn with legumes and the planting time of legumes which effectively suppresses weed growth. The research was conducted from August to November 2019 in Air Duku Village, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu at an altitude  ± 1051 masl. The study used a non-factorial completely randomized block design (RAKL) with three replications. The treatment applied was an intercropping system of sweet corn with peanuts, soybeans, and  long beans planted at 15, 10, 5, and 0 days before planting sweet corn. Observed variable data were collected and analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) level of 5%. The observed weeds were analyzed by the Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR). The results showed that Cyperus rotundus L. weed was dominant at 3 and 6 weeks after planting with SDRs of 57.12% and 55.53%. The weed dominance of C. rotundus L. was replaced by Sacciolepis interrupta at harvest time with SDR = 48.42%. Peanuts planted 15 days before planting sweet corn were the best treatment in suppressing weed growth based on the largest total dry weight emphasis (84.59%), and the lowest weed population number, namely 2.65 individuals. The highest growth and yield of sweet corn were peanuts planted simultaneously with sweet corn, long beans planted 5 days before sweet corn, and soybeans planted simultaneously with sweet corn.

Abstract

Dharmawangsa L, NujanahU, Pujiwati H, Setyowati N, Prasetyo P. 2020. Equity value of land and sweet corn poducts intercropping planting patterns with nuts in organic farming. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Intercropping is one of the solutions to increase crops with an organic system. This study aims at determining the highest productivity of intercropping sweet corns with beans planted at different times and determining the efficiency of land use when planting beans in the intercropping system. This research was carried out in August - November 2019, in the UNIB Closed Agro Ecosystem Field Laboratory, Air Duku Village, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency, at an altitude of +1054 m asl, and has been a pesticide-free land for the last 10 years. This study employed a non-factorial completely randomized block design (RAKL) with three replications. The treatment applied was the intercropping system of sweet corns with peanuts, soybeans, and/or long beans planted at 15, 10, 5, and 0 days before planting sweet corns. Variable data were collected and analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) level of 5%. The results showed that the highest productivity was obtained in the intercropping treatment of sweet corn and long beans planted 5 days before planting sweet corn with NKL 1.64. The intercropping system of sweet corns with peanuts, soybeans, and/or long beans with various planting times is more efficient in land use if compared to monocultures with NKL> 1.

Abstract

Kusmiyati S, Setyowati N, Turmudi E. 2020. The dynamics of weed communities and land productivity in intercropping corn and green bean. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Intercropping increases the productivity of plants through land efficiency. The types of weeds grow in intercropping are different from that of monocultures. This study aims to identify the type and number of weeds on intercropping corn and green beans and describe the relationship between weed competition and the productivity of corns and green beans. The study was conducted in September 2018 until January 2019 at Pematang Gubernur, Bengkulu, using a Randomized Complete Block Design. Corn spacing in intercropping was 60 cm x 30 cm, 90 cm x 30 cm, and 120 cm x 30 cm as well as 60 cm x 30 cm in monoculture while green bean spacing was 30 cm x 30 cm. The main variable data were collected and analyzed using analysis of variance level 5%. The results showed that four weed species consisted of three broad-leaved weed species, and one grass species were identified before land cultivation. At three weeks after planting, weeds' composition was nineteen consisting of fourteen broadleaves weed, one sedge, and four grass. At nine weeks after planting, the composition of nine species of weeds consisted of seven broad leaves, one nutsedge, and one grass. The presence of weeds reduced the yield of corn and green beans in the intercropping system.
