The Study world is faced with inter-community conflict, which creates disparities in social life. From this, John Locke tried to bring up the theory and concept of justice to achieve a prosperous society, but John Locke's theory and concept of justice ended in social capitalism and the behavior of prejudicial others that comes with critics from the Westerns. So, the purpose of writing this paper is to criticize John Locke's theories and concepts of justice with several theories of justice from other scientists, reveal the positive and negative sides of the whole, then only take the positive side. The writing of this paper uses the analytical-descriptive method to describe the theory of justice by John Locke and several other scientists, then analyze it to reach criticism and the positive and negative sides. So then by writing this paper will contribute to the integration of John Locke's concept of justice with including Islamic values. The result of integrating the concept of justice is that John Locke plays a role in expressing that there is a lack of wishful thinking about John Locke's concept of justice and the Islamic concept that can gain prohibition demonstrating that the Islamic law concept can support any tone without compromising any side.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the vision, mission and work program of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar through the lens of Mohammad Natsir's thoughts which are full of Islamic teachings. This study aims to examine whether the vision, mission, and work programs of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar contain elements of Islamic religious values. Given the number of Indonesian people reaching 86.7% who adhere to Islam more than other religions, the values of Islamic teachings are in the spotlight. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The data analysis will go through three important steps, namely data reduction, data display and data conclusion. This study found that the implementation of Islamic principles is very visible in the vision and mission of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar. By referring to the concept of maqashid shari'ah and direct observation of the conditions of Indonesian society in its various regions, this pair succeeded in outlining ideas that are expected to improve welfare and unite all Indonesian people. In their vision and mission, there is a system of government that is in line with Moh. Natsir's thinking. The concept of democracy emphasized by Natsir, which includes principles such as justice, the rejection of exploitation and poverty, the use of wealth for the benefit of society, and deliberation in decision-making processes that affect the people, appears to be reflected in Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar's views on state development and organization.

Abstract

On January 20, 2018, Turkey officially announced the launch of a military operation called Olive Branch Operation in the town of Afrin, northwestern Syria, within two months to sweep Afrin from Partiya Yekitiya Democrat (PYD) and Yekineyen Parastina Gel (YPG) forces. However, the operation has affected Syiria’s national security stability based on the direct territorial line between the two sovereignties. This paper explains how the Olive Branch Operation influenced Syria's national security stability throughout 2018 using the concept of national security by Barry Buzan. The qualitative research method, analytical descriptive writing techniques, was used in this paper. This research concluded that the Turkish Olive Branch Operation hurt the stability of Syria's national security in 2018. It is based on several military, political, economic, social, and environmental indicators that occurred from this military operation toward the stability of Syria’s national security.

Abstract

This article attempts to explore Ibnu Khaldun's views regarding the concept of Asabiyyah which was then linked to the political situation in Indonesia. Issues surrounding the world of politics have been a hot topic of discussion for all Islamic activists and thinkers, which apparently contain various kinds of problems, one of which is the emergence of a group of people who express nationalism but in the end corner other groups and discriminate against them, or what is known as identity politics. This article is a literature review that uses documentary techniques to collect the required data in the form of books, articles and other literature. The result of this article is that the Asabiyah concept essentially refers to the relationship of social solidarity, group spirit and the strength that encourages a group to unite and unite in facing both external and internal challenges. Ibn Khaldun considers that Asabiyyah is something central because a strong group will try to rise and build a power, but will collapse if Asabiyyah begins to fade and weaken.
