Abstract

Graphene is two dimensional material (2D) consisting of carbon atoms with a flat lattice configuration in a flexible hexagonal pattern. One of the materials that can be used as raw material in graphene synthesis is carbon used battery bar. The purpose of this research was to synthesize graphene using electrochemical exfoliation graphite (EEG) method and to study the process of exfoliation rate over 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes for 2.5 hours. Graphene was synthesized by using two solvents H2SO4 and Na2SO4 with varied concentrations of : 0.25 M, 0.5 M, 0.75 M and 1 M. From the synthesis results, the best exfoliation rate and the best yields were shown by Na2SO4 solvent at 1 M concentration with a yield of 21.83%. From the graphene conductivity test, the best conductivity was obtained by Na2SO4 solvent at 1 M concentration with conductivity value of 0,1698 Ω-1.cm-1.Key words : Electrochemical exfoliation graphite, graphene, graphite.

Abstract

Child protection remains a critical issue in Indonesia, with rising cases of violence against children. This study examines the implementation of prophetic communication by the Indonesian Child Protection Agency in South Labuhan Batu as a strategy to prevent and address child abuse. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving LPAI staff, volunteers, psychologists, and religious leaders. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources and methods, in-depth field involvement, and peer debriefing.The findings reveal that prophetic communication grounded in the principles of ‘amar ma’rūf (promotion of good), nahimunkar (prevention of harm), and ta’lim/tazkiyah (transcendence and moral development) effectively combines religious, moral, and social dimensions with modern communication strategies. Key supporting factors include skilled human resources, community and government support, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, while challenges involve cultural norms normalizing violence, limited resources, and trauma-related barriers. The study underscores the importance of empathetic, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed communication in child protection programs. Implications for policy, practice, and future research are discussed, emphasizing the potential for scaling prophetic communication.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and analyze the practicality of a Local Culture-Based Mathematics Teaching Module rooted in Batak Angkola culture (MOAMABUL) on the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SLETV) to support students’ creative thinking skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model, consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The participants were students of class X TAV-1 at SMK Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan who were involved in the product trial. Data were collected through a student response questionnaire administered after the implementation of the developed module. The data were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics by calculating the percentage scores of students’ responses to determine the practicality level of the product. The results revealed that MOAMABUL achieved an average practicality score of 66%, which falls into the “fairly practical” category. These findings indicate that the developed module is feasible for use in mathematics learning and is positively received by students. The integration of Batak Angkola local culture into the learning materials enables students to understand mathematical concepts in a more contextual and meaningful manner. Therefore, MOAMABUL contributes as an alternative teaching resource that incorporates local cultural values into mathematics education and has the potential to support the development of students’ creative thinking skills.
