Abstract

Semarang city is densely populated that demand of settlement will increase continually, but land in city center is very limited and even it is scarce, therefore the land price which is placed in city center is high. That is why many inhabitant of Semarang city prefer to live in outskirts of the city. The shifting of land demand to the outskirts is also followed by increasing of land price in outskirts, it causes the land price in outskirts is uncontrolled.The research takes location in Banyumanik area. This research area consists of 7 districts, that are Jabungan, Pudak Payung, Banyumanik, Srondol Kulon, Pedalangan, Ngesrep, and Gedawang district. The sample total is one hundred (100). The data is analyzed by using multiple linear regression model with ordinary least square method (OLS).

Abstract

This study is intended to determine factors influencing the demand of electricity energy in Central Java. The increasing demand of energy might create a shortage or crisis due to a relatively constant of energy supply. It is because a very high costs for constructing energy power plants. The increasing energy demand over economic growth might create a question, what is the influence of economic activities toward the demand of electricity energy. It is also a problem whether energy demand utilizedas production factor in the economy or consumed as final goods.

Abstract

Pembangunan perekonomian tidak dapat lepas dari pengaruh investasi. Arus Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) maupun Penanaman Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN) diharapkan menjadi motor didalam percepatan pembagunan ekonomi dan memberi dampak positif pada pertumbuhan, sedangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi memberikan dampak positif dengan menurunkan angka ketimpangan pendapatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi, Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA), Penanaman Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN) jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang dan ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Metode analisis menggunakan regresi panel pada runtun waktu tahun 2011-2015 dan data cross section 38 kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Timur menggunakan Eviews 10. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) maupun Penanamna Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN) jangka pendek berpengaruh negatif, namun dalam jangka panjang akan berpengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dilihat dari pertumbuhan PDRB Provinsi Jawa Timur. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam jangka pendek berpengaruh negatif, namun dalam jangka panjang pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang dilihat dengan indeks gini.

Abstract

Financial management failure occurs when students do not have good financial literacy. Students must have good knowledge, attitude, and behavior in managing their personal finances. This study aims to analyze the level of financial literacy of undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Diponegoro University class of 2014 to 2017 and the factors that influence it. Financial literacy in this study uses a financial literacy index consisting of components of the knowledge, attitude, and financial behavior of students. The research data uses primary data with questionnaires and sample of 100 students. Meanwhile, the method used in this study is descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression test (OLS). As a result, the level of student financial literacy is categorized as quite literary, that is 50.4%, influenced by age, GPA, parental education, and length of study. On the other hand, gender and income do not affect student financial literacy.

Abstract

Ownership of farm land usually consistent to land tenure status affect to income distribution. The landtenure status are divided into owner operator, renter (cash tenant), and share-cropper operator (share tenant).The objective of this research were studied comparation of production, efficiency, and income distribution atfarming. This research analyze income distribution based on different land tenure and relationship inequalitywith poverty. This research use survey in data collecting and proportional stratified random sampling to choosesample. Analysis method and hypothesis test implement t-test and F-test from Cobb-Douglas function. Theresearch result showed efficiency and production rate of share-cropper operator was not too bad then owneroperator and renter (cash tenant). Land farm tenure has effect to income distribution, farmer who has widerland will have bigger income than other. Income inequality without other income higher than income whichinclude income outside farmer. Other income (outside farming) decrease income inequality.

Abstract

One measure of the economic development of the region that is the region's economic growth. Area is required to plan, implement and finance its own development. Selected sector is a sector that could be a locomotive development in other sectors is indistri sector, to spur growth while output and income provinces of Central Java is komodiats fabrics, woven, of man-made fibers; articles of clothing; electrical distribution and control equipment for on hold as inappropriate (RCA> 1) and (HSE> average).

Abstract

The highest level of unemployment in Central Java indicates that the process of employment in 35 district/cities Central Java is still low. Although the economic growths 35 districts/cities in Central Java have been increased, it not be able to absorb the numbers of labor forces. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of labor productivity, real wages and economic growth on the labor market in Central Java. This study used secondary data analysis tools with the data panel Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approachment or the Least Square Dummy Variable (lSDV) model, which consists of times series data during the period of 2008-2010 and cross section data of 35 districts / cities in Central Java. Result of this study proved that labor productivity gave significant negative effects on employment absorption, while real wages and economic growth have a positive effect on employment absorption. The negative outcome of regression coefficient showed that the increasing number in labor productivity could reduce the amount of employment absorption and the positive regression coefficient indicates that real wages and increasing economic growth could cause to increased employment absorption. Â
