Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research are for design and develop of comic as media learning for science in 8th Junior High School. The research was conducted at Study Program of Biology Education campus FKIP University of Riau from April until Juni 2015. This research used Research and Development (R&D) approach with ADDIE model. The comic have subject is Transportation System. We used validation sheet were filled by 5 validators. Then, we executed of limited trial at 10 students in 8th grade Junior High School 1 Pekanbaru with student questionnaire responses. The value of media comic validation can be seen at 5 aspects, they are simplicity, suppression, balance, integration and comic design. The result is media comic can aplication in learning activity at class Key Word : Comic, Media Learning for Science, Transportation System

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of  this research was to improve the learning activity and students' understanding of Biology concepts through the application of models Guided discovery with Card sort method in class XI IPA 3 MAN 1 Pekanbaru school year 2014/2015. This research is action research conducted in two cycles in March and April 2015. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 3 MAN 1 Pekanbaru school year 2014/2015, amounting to 32 people, consisting of 22 women and 10 men. Parameter research is learning activities and students' understanding of biology concepts consisting of absorption and mastery learning. The average of students' learning activities in the first cycle is 79.74% with sufficient category and the second cycle increased to 88.86% with the good category. Understanding the concept based on the average absorption of students in the first cycle is 80.94 and the second cycle increased to 88.06. Mastery learning students in the first cycle is 71.88% and the second cycle increased to 87.50%. From the results of this research concluded that the application of models Guided discovery with the Card sort method can increase the activity of learning and understanding the concept of class XI IPA 3 MAN 1 Pekanbaru school year 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop students worksheet oriented guided inquiry learning model to improve students critical thinking skills on the material circulation system in senior high school class XI. Research conducted at the Campus Biology Education and MAN 1 Pekanbaru from January to June 2015. The research used in this study refers to the development of R & D research approach using ADDIE model. Subjects were Basic Competency (KD) 3.6 biological material. The research begins with an analysis of the curriculum, syllabus and students worksheets compiled by MGMP. Then the students worksheet designed in accordance with the guided inquiry learning model and developed students worksheet with the model that aims to improve students critical thinking skills. Students worksheet draft I, which has been produced subsequently validated by 5 people validator, they are two education experts, two experts of the material and 1 teacher MA. Aspects assessed validation consisted of 3 aspects namely, the design aspect, pedagogical aspect and content aspect. After validated, than this students worksheet repaired appropriate the advice and input of the validator and the resulting draft worksheets II. Further trials conducted limited by spreading the questionnaire responses of the students MAN 1 Pekanbaru on 26 students of class XI IPA. Determination of class research determined randomly. Then do the revisions back to the students worksheet appropriate the advice and input of test results is limited resulting in critical thinking students worksheet final. The Reseacrh data result were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results showed that the development of students worksheet oriented guided inquiry learning model to improve students critical thinking skills on the material at senior high school class XI in circulation system has been successfully developed by the category of very valid and very good. Student worksheet that has been developed has the potential to improve critical thinking skills. The mean results of the validation of 7 worksheets that have been developed successively ie 3:59, 3.63, 3.66, 3.66, 3.61, 3.73 and 3.78. Whereas the average of the results of limited testing of 7 worksheets that have been developed in succession, namely 3.72, 3.81, 3.74, 3.75, 3.73, 3.80 and 3.82. Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the effect of Kinetin and NAA on the growth of explants Musk lime (Citrus microcarpa) and to design learning resource for student work sheet based virtual laboratory. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education University of Riau and Laboratory Biotechnology of Riau Islamic University from April-Mei 2015, using a completely randomized design of 4 x 4 factorial with three replications. The first factor (K) is the Kinetin consists of 4 level: 0 ppm, 1 ppm, 3 ppm, and 5 ppm. The second factor (A) is the NAA consist of 4 level: 0 ppm, 0,5 ppm, 1 ppm, and 2 ppm. Parameters measured were percentage grows, time of root rise, time of bud rise, the amount of buds, amount of roots, and lengt shoot. The data were analyzed using ANAVA and tested further by DMRT at 5% level. The data were analyzed using verification by lecturer for development student work sheet . The results of this research showed of Kinetin and NAA significantly affect the growth of explants Musk Lime. The percentage of explants grown 100% all treatments, except treatment K5A0, The earliest of root rise in treatment K0A0,5 HST, The earliest of bud rise in treatment K5A0 HST, Highest amount of buds in treatment K3A2 is 2.4 buds, Highest lengt of shoot in treatment K3A0 is 7.1 buds, and the amount of roots the best treatment of K0A0,5 is 8,1 roots. Results of reserach can be used as development student work sheet based on virtual laboratory  in modern biothecnology concept for class xii senior high school. Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this reserch is to design, development and produce comic as media learning for science in 7th Grade Junior High School. This research was conducted at Department of Biology Education University of Riau, from April until Juni 2015. The type of this reserch is development research using Research and Development (R & D) approach with model ADDIE. The comic have subject Interaction of Living Organisms  and The Environment. Make validation test for the media comic that filled by 5 validators. And then, limited trial conducted at 10 student in 7th Grade Junior High School 1 Pekanbaru. The limited trial was used student questionnaire responses. The value of media comis validation can be seen at 5 aspect, there are simplicity, suppression, balance, integration and comic design. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to develop the Student Worksheet based on scientific approach to improve students' critical thinking on fungi content for grade X High Schoo. The reaserch was done at Faculty of Education, University of Riau in January until May 2015. The study refers to research approaches Research and Development using ADDIE models developed by Dick and Carry. Research carried out until the stage of development. The subjects is KD 3.6 senior high school grade X in fungi content that had been developed into five student worksheet. Data was collected using a validation sheet filled out by 5 validators and limited trial aimed at high school students who have studied in fungi content. Population and samples for limited trial randomly determined that the class X MIA 4 in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru as many as 20 students. Results of the validation of the design, pedagogical and content aspects showed all student worksheets obtain an average score of 3.53, 3.66, 3.62, 3.69 and 3.68 categorized as very valid while the limited test results from the aspect of design, pedagogy and content showed all student worksheet obtain an average score 3.58, 3.58, 3.61, 3.58 and 3.61 with the excellent category.
