Abstract

Abstract :This research aimed to improve students creative thinking skills in class X IPA.1 SMA Negeri 1 Tempuling by implementation worksheets based on discovery learning. The methods of this research was classroom action research. It had been done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research was carried in SMA Negeri 1 Tempuling on September-October 2018. Parameters measure were creative thinking skill as seen from the answers of students on worksheet and assessed using the creative thinking skill assessment sheet. The collected data was analysed descriptively. The results of this research showed that creative thinking skill on first cycle was 59.80 (creative) and increased on second cycle up to 85.87 (very creative). It can be conclude that implementation worksheets based on discovery learning can improve creative thingking skill of students class X IPA.1 SMA Negeri 1 Tempuling. Abstract

Abstract: Information on the value of carbon absorption in green open spaces whose carbon stock values are stored in biomass is needed to describe the condition of an ecosystem. This study aims to determine the value of carbon absorption of trees on the median parks in the city of Pekanbaru. Furthermore, the value of carbon is integrated with a learning media product in the form of a poster. This research was carried out on the median parks in Pekanbaru City in December 2020 - January 2021. The data was taken using a non-destructive method, namely using the roaming method by calculating the entire DBH and the height of all individual trees in the research location. Furthermore, the measurement data were analyzed allometrically and the tree height obtained was then processed using the allometric formula and converted as a carbon uptake value. The results showed that the total carbon absorption value in the median park of Pekanbaru are 2920.5 Ton ha-1. The results of the data have a relationship with learning materials such as in KD 3.11 and 4.11 class X Senior High School about environmental changes, especially on air pollution material, so that the results of the study can be used as a poster media design on air pollution material for class X Senior High School studentsKey Words: Carbon Absorption, Median Park, Poster

Abstract

Abstract: Pollution of soils due to contamination of petroleum wastes is certain to affect the balance of soil ecosystems. Soil is one of the most polluted environmental factors. Therefore, the type of bacteria capable of becoming bioremediation agents on contaminated soil is important to learn. This study aims to produce LKPD Learning class X Biology SMA by utilizing the results of studies on the identification of bacteria on contaminated soil waste oil. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in Minas Jaya Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province in April-June 2017. Determination of sampling location by considering the soil contaminated with earth's waste from oil wells. At each point of sampling, 3 captures were taken with different soil depths of 10 cm, 20 cm, and 30 cm. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results obtained are 5 types of bacteria, namely Bacillus sp, Enterobacter sp, Klebsiella sp, Pseudomonas sp, and Micrococcus sp. These types of bacteria can be utilized for the development of LKPD learning of Biology of SMA X class about Bacteria (KD 3.5) and change and preservation of class X Environment (KD 3.11). Testing of the use of LKPD that has been generated and the benefits of enriching student learning materials in a classical manner are highly recommended.Key Word: Identification, Bacteria, Soil Contaminated, Student Worksheet

Abstract

Abstract : Module is a unit of planned learning program, designed to help learners achieve learning objectives. The use of the Module will be able to enhance the student's active role in learning. This study aims to produce high school biology learning modules by utilizing the results of studies on the composition of plant species in post-fire peatlands. For this purpose, we have conducted a survey study in Rimba Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February-October 2017. The quadratic method and purposive random sampling technique were applied on the gradient of fire incident 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Parameters observed were species composition of each vegetation level (seedling, sapling, and tree). Vegetation analysis obtained 9 Species seedling, Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Macaranga triloba, Eugenia pelyta, Melastoma malabathricum, Lantana camara, terma virgata, Cratoxylon arborescens and Ilex cymosa. Five saplings species are Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Macaranga triloba, Eugenia pelyta, and Ilex cymosa, as well as 5 trees species, namely Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Eugenia pelyta, Cratoxylon arborescens, and Ilex cymosa. It can be concluded that vegetation regeneration in long-burnt peatlands is relatively better compared to relatively new land burns. The composition of the species can be utilized for the development of learning module of High School Biology class X on Ecosystem Component (KD 3.10) and Environmental Change and its impact to the life of Class X (KD 3.11). It is recommended to test the use of the generated modules and the benefits of enriching student learning materials in a classical way. Abstract

Abstract : Interesting teaching materials in the learning process are usually printed and illustrated in one of the visual dictionaries. Visual Dictionary is one of the illustrated and constant teaching materials that facilitates learners to understand learning. This study aims to produce a visual dictionary of Biology High School learning using the results of a study on ecosystems in post-fire peatlands. For that reason, a survey was conducted in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February - October 2017. Quadratic methods and purposive sampling techniques were applied to gradient fire events 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The paramaeter were observed i.e. type composition, environmental factors and distribution pattern of vegetation. The data were analyzed using Dispers Morista Index descriptively and qualitatively. Based on the results of the research, 32 species and 21 basic vegetation families were found in post-fire peatlands. Distribution pattern of peatland vegetation shows that distribution patterns tend to be more random than clustering patterns. The result of this research can be used for the development of visual dictionary of Class X Biology (KD 3.10). Testing using visual dictionaries generated and the benefits of enriching the learners' learning materials are classically important for further action.
