Abstract

Abstrak Terus terjadi peningkatan jumlah pengguna jaringan komunikasi di ITENAS. Wavelenght Division Multiplexing(WDM) merupakan solusi untuk mengakomodasi pertumbuhan trafik global dengan mengurangi batasan dalam pengaturan koneksi atau menurunkan probabilitas blocking. Tujuanpenelitian ini mensimulasikan dan menganalisaisprobabilitas blocking jaringan serat optik ITENAS yang memiliki 8 node, 26 link dan 13 kanal terhadap jumlah node, menggunakan teknologi WDM yang terintegrasi dengan sistem WDM pada Matlab R2013a. Penelitian dilakukan untuk beberapa kondisi,yaitu conversion, full conversion, limited conversion, no conversion, no conversion firts-fit, dan no conversion random.Berdasarkan hasil simulasi didapatkan probabilitas blocking maksimum 82% untuk jaringan dengan full conversion dan probabilitas blockingminimum 0% untuk jaringan no conversion first-fit. Kata kunci: Matlab R2013a, WDM, probabilitas blocking, konversi, dan kanal. Abstract The number of users atITENAS communication network continuallyincrease.The Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) solution to accommodate global traffic growth by reducing restrictions in setting up a connection or decreasing the blocking probability. The purpose of this research was simulating and analyzing the blocking probability of ITENAS optical fiber networks which had 8 nodes, 26 links and 13 channels compared to the number of nodes, using the WDM technologyintegratedWDMsysteminMatlabR2013a. The researchwas conducted some conditions, conversions, fullconversions, limitedconversions, noconversion, noconversionfirts-fit, andnoconversionrandom. The simulation resultsbased onobtainedmaximumblockingprobability82% fora networkwithfullconversionandthe minimumblocking probability0% fora networkwithnoconversionfirst-fit.
