Abstract

Draw point is a loading pointh beneath a stope, utilizing gravity to move down bulk material in underground mine block caving of PT Freeport Indonesia. A draw point is a steel set that is erected and poured in place with concrete. There are 9 sub processes of draw point construction: site preparation, lean concrete, embedded rail, concrete floor, anvil top, lintel set, forming & meshing, wall & roof concrete, stripping & general clean-up. Based on data analysis period 2008, there is a gap 4.03 until draw point of yearly target with average of completion time of a draw point construction 46.44 shifts and standard deviation 6.95 shifts. It is slower by 9.7% of target 42 shifts. The high standard deviation and slower process indicate there is a process quality problem in draw point construction so it makes draw point construction incompliance to achieve its monthly or yearly target. For improving the process quality, Six Sigma approach with DMAIC methodology will be used to indentify incapable process and its causes. Then alternative solutions are proposed to fix it and control the key process variable causing the defects. Keywords:completion time, process quality, six sigma, DMAIC

Abstract

The advancement of technology and information has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including education. One of the impacts of globalization is the advancement of technology and information. Globalization cannot be separated from the rapid development of information and communication technology, the primary supporting factor. Appropriate technology can increase student learning motivation, increase interaction between students and teachers, and facilitate access to information. Educators must consider technology in learning. To present engaging and innovative education, teachers are required to follow technological developments. The intention is to use technology to facilitate the learning process. This study aims to describe the implementation of Canva and analyze its impact on improving writing skills in English subjects at SMP PGRI Saptosari. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data was obtained through observation, questionnaire completion, and documentation. Observations were carried out twice. The study's results indicate improved writing skills, particularly in creating procedure texts for English learning. The obtained data concluded that the creativity assessment indicator increased from the previous average of 64.68 to 85.10. The score jumped from the lesser to the excellent category by 20.42 points. The second increase in diction or word choice resulted in an average value increase from 61.31 to 78.4, moving from the less category to the sufficient one. Abstract

Learning is a complex process that occurs in a person's life. If there is contact between humans and their environment, individually or in groups, then learning will occur. Students use learning media as an intermediary tool to convey messages or information. Creative media can stimulate students' interest in the lesson. This study aims to investigate the application of quizzes in the digital era's learning process and assess their impact on enhancing students' cognitive values. This study uses a research and development method. Research indicates that to support the teaching and learning process effectively, web-based, application-based learning media must meet the standards of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In this case, Quizizz, the developed learning medium, underwent material validation and technical evaluation stages to ensure that the presented content aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives. This validation also encompasses the suitability of the material's content and the application's user-friendliness. In addition to the validity aspect, the practicality of the media is also an essential factor in this assessment. Based on the observations and user responses, students and teachers responded positively to Quizizz as a learning medium. The ease of access and use of the available features, such as interactive questions and various quiz modes, make learning more engaging and not boring. This shows that Quizizz is practical and can increase students' interest in learning through a more dynamic approach. Finally, the effectiveness of Quizizz as a learning medium is evident in the results of observations and responses from students and teachers during the learning process. Students looked more enthusiastic and motivated to actively participate in the quizzes, which helped them understand the material better. The provided results analysis feature also aids teachers, enabling more accurate assessment of student learning outcomes. Quizizz is a valid, practical, and effective medium for interactive learning.

Abstract

In the increasingly sophisticated digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly changed various fields, including education. In Indonesia, secondary schools have begun implementing AI technology to improve the quality of teaching and school management. Implementing this technology includes using AI-based systems for personalized learning, student data analysis, and more efficient school administration management. Implementing AI-based policies requires a strong partnership between the school committee and the school. This includes monitoring technology implementation, providing teacher training, and involving parents in the technology-based learning process. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of partnerships between school committees and schools in implementing AI-based policies at SMP Negeri 3 Tanjungsari. To ensure effective policy implementation, various stakeholders, including school committees, must support advancing AI technology in education. This study employs a qualitative approach, incorporating a case study method. It obtained the collected data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The study results indicate that strong partnerships between school committees and schools play a significant role in supporting the implementation of AI policies. However, some challenges are still faced, such as the committee's lack of understanding of AI technology. This study also offers strategies to improve the effectiveness of these partnerships, including training and enhancing communication between the committee and the school. These findings significantly contribute to developing educational policies that are more adaptive to technological advances.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate in Indonesia may be attributed to the mismatch between the competencies possessed by the workforce and the competencies required by the labor market, as well as the limited availability of job opportunities to accommodate all school graduates entering the workforce. Implementing a teaching factory management strategy is meant to improve vocational school graduates' skills to meet business and industry needs, making the Indonesian workforce more competitive. The teaching factory management functions are implemented and organized based on partnerships between vocational schools and industries, particularly those in the surrounding areas, through planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision stages. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research design. Data collection techniques include participant observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and triangulation. The teaching factory management strategy at SMK Negeri 1 Godean has successfully improved students' work readiness by integrating academic learning with real-world industrial practices. Data indicates a significant increase in the absorption of graduates into the workforce, with the percentage of graduates directly employed rising from 29.5% in 2021 to 49.9% in 2023. Close collaboration with industry partners and developing an industry-relevant curriculum have played a critical role in this achievement. Furthermore, SMK Negeri 1 Godean also equips students with entrepreneurial skills, increasing graduates pursuing entrepreneurship from 1.6% in 2021 to 9.3% in 2023.
