Abstract

Work-related stress has become common phenomenon. Many considers it as an isolatedproblem, whereas this stress causes the performance of the company decreases.Managing this stress is still not done enough yet, even in the big companies in developedcountries, due to the low awareness among the managers regarding the problem.Individual worker suffers the stress, so she/he should handle her/his problem, indeed.But the role of the leaders is crucial to handle the problem, such as creating a conduciveand open environment. The last but not the least, the just and good treatmentof the leaders towards her/his subordinate reflects the good leadership.Keywords: work-related stress, the causes of stress, coping strategy

Abstract

In 1980s and 1990s decades supply chain is a popular term implemented in manybusiness firms in the world because of its capability to increasing operational costefficiency which lead to cheaper product price. In that time it is widely believed thatlower product price will yield the higher return in companies’s profit, even in the longterm.As time goes by, it’s grandeur become clearly faded : in the long term com-panies facing more loss because supply chain do not have a market orientation,an orientation that can keep companies stay in market for a long time and higherprofit. As a consequences, in early 2000s there is another new term appeared : de-mand chain management. This term actually is a combination of supply chain andmarket orientation term. Abstract

Impulse buying behavior has received the attention of Western academic scholarsdue to the existing contradiction between what consumer say and what they actuallydo. Many consumers realize that this is not a right and good behavior. Neverthelessthey continue to purchase the products in this fashion. Even in USA, this behaviorhas become a common phenomenon. The goal of this research is to find out whetherconsumer’s demographic factors influence the impulse buying behavior or not. Inthis research, the impulse buying behavior is divided into two components: affectiveand cognitive components. The result reveals that respondent’s gender and age are theonly factors that influence the affective component, while in the cognitive component,the result shows that there is no respondent’s demographic factors influence.Keywords: Impulse buying, affective and cognitive components, gender, age,budget of spending, level of education

Abstract

E-Government is actually an application of business concept in the public sectorwhose existence is now recognized many countries as being to their advantage inserving its citizens more efficiently and effectively. The main purpose of the paper isa review of E-Government as a system, which should be observed for E-Governmentadoption process more quickly and successfully. As a system, E-Government consistsof seven elements that are interdependent with one another, namely the government’scommitment, the characteristics of users, website design, cultural awareness, servicequality and clients satisfaction. Thus the successful adoption of E-Government isunlikely released from a good understanding of the seven elements.Keywords: E-Government adoption, system, elements of E-government

Abstract

Human resource development in small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) isknown to have a role as important as large-scale enterprises in achieving competi-tive advantage. The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview of humanresources development in SMEs. Management and development of human resourcesin SMEs generally done informally, i.e. do not have written rules; recruitment processdone through employees’ word-of-mouth; selection process is done based on consid-eration of small business owners; training process is determined to SME owners; andmotivation in SMEs in terms of salary or wages are often considered smaller thanlarge enterprises.Keywords: Informal human resource, recruitment and selection in SME, trainingand development in SME, Motivation in SME

Abstract

Resource - based view theory is a theory that is prominent in the strategic manage-ment field since the early 1990s . Principally due to the prominence of this theorythat prioritizes the role of internal resources that when certain conditions are metwill bring the company gain the competitive advantage even sustainable competitiveadvantage that will lead to superior performance .Resources in general consists of tangible and intangible resources. Intangibleresources according to many researchers is the strategic resources because these re-sources which will bring the company is able to achieve competitive advantage andsustainable.competitive advantage .This paper seeks to describe the elements of intangible resources includingthe factors or indicators . expressed in this paper are four elements of intangibleresources, namely human capital , structural capital , relational capital and customercapital . Abstract

The superior performance of the company sometimes is not determined by the exter-nal environment, but internal factors. This is the essence of the theory of resource -based view (RBV) which form the basis of this paper.According to the RBV theory, superior performance will be achieved when com-pany is able to achieve competitive advantage. Competitive advantage has capabilityantecedent which reflect the ability to manage its resources. There are three typesof capabilities described in this paper, namely : (1) dynamic capability (which is acompany’s ability to integrate its resources in order to respond to new opportunitiesin the external environment), (2) technological capability ( which is the ability of thecompany to develop existing technologies into the new technology that allows thecompany’s products in accordance with the market wants) and (3) managerial capa-bility (which is the ability of the company to ensure the implementation of efficientmanagement that will bring innovation).Based on three capabilities described above, it was clear that not only internalfactors are the focus of the company, but also external factors.Keywords: superior performance, dynamic capability, technlogical capability,managerial capability.

Abstract

Bisnis shuttle service di Bandung semakin menjamur dengan dibukanya tol Cipularang. Saat ini ada beberapa perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bisnis ini. Salah satunya adalah Citi Trans yang didirikan pada Oktober 2005 yang dapat dikatakan sebagai salah satu pelopor dalam bisnis ini. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu yang memunculkan tingkat persaingan yang semakin meningkat, Citi Trans terkena dampaknya. Pada tahun 2010 jumlah penumpang yang memilih menggunakan jasa Citi Tans turun sebanyak 4,76% dibandingkan pada tahun 2009. Sekilas prosentase penurunan jumlah penumpang ini tampak sedikit, tetapi jika tidak dicermati dengan seksama, maka hal ini akan memberikan dampak buruk di masa depan.Bisnis shuttle service sebagaimana tercermin dalam industrinya mengutamakan pelayanan jasa dalam melayani konsumennya. Dengan demikian kualitas pelayanan menjadi alat yang vital bagi keberlangsungan Citi Trans ini. Berkaitan dengan penurunan jumlah penumpang, perlu diteliti bagaimana kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan Citi Trans berkaitan dengan kepuasan dan loyalitas para penumpangnya. Atas dasar inilah fokus penelitian penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menjawab pertanyaan : bagaimana pengaruh kualitas layanan yang dipersepsikan penumpang (service performance) Citi Trans terhadap kepuasan konsumen dan implikasinya kepada loyalitas pelanggan Citi Trans, Bandung?Dalam penelitian kausal ini, jumlah responden dipilih sebanyak 150 orang sesuai dengan rumus minimal, yaitu lima kali jumlah item (pertanyaan) penelitian yang berjumlah 30. Teknik sampling dilakukan menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis SEM menggunakan program AMOS 20.Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan model yang ada tidak sesuai (fit) dengan data yang ada, walapun validitas dan reliabilitas model tinggi. Hal ini dimungkinkan oleh beberapa kemungkinan, seperti (1) kurangnya jumlah sampel dan atau (2) teknik pengambilan sampel yang tidak random (walaupun dalam penelitian ini amat sulit dilakukan sehubungan dengan tidak tersedianya jumlah populasi yang dibutuhkan untuk teknik random sampling.

Abstract

Research Purpose – the purpose of this research is to see what minimarket’s attributes on campuses are perceived important by students of Unpar and Maranatha, Bandung. The result is models on minimarket attributes around the two campuses mentioned above.Methodology – a review of current store attribute literatures reveal 61 attributes considered important by the researchers to then distributed to the students UNPAR and Maranatha as the respondents.Findings – data analysis showed the difference in the models, where five main priority Unpar’s minimarket attribute model consists of: promotions, staff, appearance, relaxation and product organizing dimensions. While the five highest priority Maranatha’s minimarket attribute model are: attitude of employees, security, promotion, minimarket access, and relaxation dimensions.Orijinalitas –because of research on minimarket attribute on campus as far as researchers know is rare, so this study was conducted to make the model in the range of minimarket attributes around Unpar and Maranatha campuses, Bandung.Keywords – store attribute, minimarket attribute, minimarket on campuses, EFA.
