Abstract

Abstract

The cost reduction and production time reduction are the benefits of 3D printing in the manufacturing industry, which can be developed in printing casual shoes that meet customer needs. Although 3D Printing promises many benefits, many are still doubtful about its application in Indonesia. To examine the potential use of 3D printing in Indonesia, information was extracted about the knowledge of the Indonesian people about 3D printing machines and asking to potential investors for an assessment of 3D printing in Indonesia. Data collection was done through an online survey. Respondents were selected randomly with a purposive sampling technique. Survey results show that 91% of respondents said they already knew 3D printing machines, they also knew that there were various kinds of 3D printing products and various kinds of raw materials that could be used. Prospective investors will assess 3D printing products by taking into account market convenience, product uniqueness, workshop/shop location and availability of specialized human resources.

Abstract

Work climate organization is one of the reasons why work-family conflict occurs. Although research on work-family climate and work-family conflict has been widely carried out in Europe and America, there are still few studies that examine the relationship between the two in Asia, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the relationship between work-family climate and work-family conflict at medical representatives. The method used is quantitative by collecting data through purposive sampling technique and using 105 medical representative respondents who are married and have children. Using Kossek's work-family climate scale and Carlson's standard work-family conflict scale adapted by Artiawati. Data were analyzed using regression analysis. The results of the study simultaneously obtained F = 5.487 p <0.021, which means that there is a relationship between work-family climate and family work conflicts at medical representatives in Indonesia. This result further strengthens that the work-family climate has a relationship with work-family conflict in medical representatives in Indonesia, but partially the work climate has no correlation with work-family conflict. This study concludes that if work-family claims share concerns and make sacrifices well, it can reduce work-family conflict for medical representatives.

Abstract

Coal mining employees work in high-risk environments, face long working hours, and experience limited interaction with their families, conditions that potentially affect their psychological well-being. However, empirical understanding of how workers construct and experience psychological well-being within this context remains limited. This study aims to explore the personal experiences and individual meanings of psychological well-being among coal mining employees, describe the factors influencing it, and identify coping mechanisms used to maintain or enhance it. The research design/methodology used an interpretative phenomenological approach. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data, which were analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The informants were permanent employees, married, and working as temporary employees. The findings reveal: 1) an in-depth understanding of how coal mining workers define and experience psychological well-being, 2) several factors influencing psychological well-being, including family-health, organizational facilities, connection with family, and work duration. The practical implications of this study indicate that organizations need to place greater emphasis on employees’ psychological well-being, particularly those working far from their families. At the individual level, employees are encouraged to develop adaptive coping strategies, while at the organizational level, psychological support programs and evaluation of working hours are required to better safeguard employee well-being.
