Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the role and credibility of preachers as communicators in conveying the message of da'wah to the converted community in the Karomba Mountain Area Pinrang Regency. This research uses qualitative methods to understand and analyze the role and credibility of preachers in conveying the message of da'wah. data collection techniques are carried out with in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the role of preachers in conveying the message of da'wah to the converts, namely preachers as mentors or coaches. preacher as an extension of Islam and preacher as the problem solver. While the credibility of preachers as communicators in conveying the message of da'wah can be seen from communication skills, knowledge related to the values of Islamic religious teachings, attitudes, and socio-cultural systems.

Abstract

Converts of Village is a place to live for the families of converts in lembang subdistrict Pinrang, in addition it is also a special environment for converts to learn the values of Islamic diversity teachings. This study aims to analyze how the converted of village as a special environment can reconstruct the identity of the converted community. This artike uses qualitative methods, data collection techniques are conducted with in-depth interviews, direct observations and documentation, while data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation and data verifakasi or conclusion drawing. The results showed that the converted village is an environment that can reconstruct the identity of the converted community to become Muslim religious. The view of the converts towards themselves related to their identias is to consider themselves as religious Muslims who perform worship in accordance with Islamic law. Meanwhile, the view of non-Muslim people around the converted village is to accept the existence of the convert community because the converts still have family ties with non-Muslim people in the region.

Abstract

Culture is one of Indonesia's wealth. The role of the community, especially indigenous peoples in Indonesia, is to preserve the culture inherited from ancestors so that it is not lost in the modernization era. In this case, the importance of younger generation, as the successor of the nation, knows the meaning of a tradition so that it becomes part of the preservation of culture itself. The purpose of this study was to find out the message contained in the communication of Mungka trade rituals in Tepal Village, Sumbawa Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique used is with primary and secondary data. In determining informants in this study, researchers used purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study show that the message in the Mungka traditional tradition is not just a symbol of the maturation process. But it holds a deep meaning apart from the symbol of maturity. The traditional procession is expected to be a procession that makes the people of Tepal Village become responsible humans and respect the cultural values taught by the ancestors, with the increased responsibility expected by every community.
