Abstract

Waruga grave stone coffin is a cultural heritage of Minahasa that have been designated as a cultural attraction. The purpose of this study was to describe the internal and external factors that influence the development of the Waruga Cultural Heritage as a tourist attraction, as well as formulate the development strategy for the tourist attraction of Waruga Cultural Heritage in realizing the sustainable tourism. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis using the collecting data techniques through observation, in-depth interview, documentation, and literature study. Informants were determined by purposive sampling and the acquired data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicated that in order to maximize the development of the tourist attraction as well as realizing sustainable tourism to the Waruga Cultural Heritage, it is necessary to develop the strategies and programs such as empowerment of local communities, develop the facilities and infrastructure of the tourist attraction, improve the safety and convenience for tourists, protection against the cultural heritage, as well as develop the institutional and human resources.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan strategi promosi melalui media sosial dalam meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke destinasi wisata alam Air Terjun Kulung-Kulung yang terletak di Desa Wiau Lapi Minahasa selatan. Air Terjun Kulung-Kulung memiliki potensi alam yang indah dan layak untuk dikembangkan sebagai salah satu destinasi unggulan di daerah tersebut. Namun, hingga saat ini tingkat kunjungan wisatawan masih relatif rendah, salah satunya disebabkan oleh kurang kegiatan promosi, terutama melalui media sosial.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan pemerintah desa, dan wisatawan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis untuk menjadikan strategi promosi yang tepat melalui media sosial, seperti Instagram, Facebook, dan TikTok.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial secara terencana, Dengan penerapan strategi promosi media sosial yang tepat, diharapkan Air Terjun Kulung-Kulung mampu dikenal lebih luas oleh masyarakat lokal maupun wisatawan dari luar daerah, sehingga berdampak pada peningkatan kunjungan wisata dan perekonomian masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in improving the effectiveness of waiter service and to identify the challenges encountered at Boulevard Bistro Restaurant, Lion Hotel & Plaza Manado. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and literature review. Informants included the Head Chef, Restaurant Coordinator, and waitstaff directly involved in SOP implementation. The study was conducted from July 2024 to April 2025. The findings show that SOPs have been consistently applied in technical aspects such as punctuality, order accuracy, and service sequence indicating a strong procedural discipline among staff. However, inconsistencies were found in the soft skills dimension, particularly friendliness, proactive communication, and guest engagement, which are critical to enhancing service effectiveness. Operational challenges were also observed, including limited equipment availability and increased workload during peak hours, which constrained full adherence to SOPs. The study concludes that while the technical application of SOPs is well established, improvements in behavioral aspects, staff training, and supervisory consistency are essential to achieve comprehensive service quality and guest satisfaction.
