Abstract

ABSTRACTThis community service aims to disseminate bilingual visual media related to preventing the spread of COVID-19. Besides, visual media is also expected to be able to introduce scientific literacy to the public. The service consists of two main activities, namely media dissemination through social media, such as whattsup, twitter, facebook, instagram, and virtual meetings using a video conference platform. The results of the activities were very positive from the community, where people were willing to become agents for the dissemination of bilingual visual media that had been developed as a form of COVID-19 response activities. Keyword: Billingual, Visual Media, COVID-19  ABSTRAKPengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan media visual dwibahasa terkait pencegahan penyebaran COVID-19. Selain itu, media visual juga diharapkan mampu memperkenalkan literasi sains kepada masyarakat. Pengabdian terdiri dari dua kegiatan utama yaitu penyebaran media melalui sosial media seperti pada whattsup, twitter, facebook, instagram, dan pertemuan virtual menggunakan platform video conference. Hasil dari kegiatan sangat positif dari masyarakat, dimana masyarakat bersedia menjadi agen untuk penyebarluasan media visual dwibahasa yang telah dikembangkan sebagai salah satu bentuk kegiatan penanggulan COVID-19. Kata Kunci: Media Visual, Dwibahasa, COVID-19

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students' responses and reactions regarding digital comics using the Instagram platform. The approach in this research is qualitative with descriptive research type. Data collection was carried out through a survey of 50 students at the University of Borneo Tarakan and 119 students from the University of Lambung Mangkurat. The results of student responses and reactions were positive. Students respond to comics in terms of format and relevance. Meanwhile, students react to comics based on attractiveness and satisfaction. Abstract

Indonesia has high potential disasters. It was recorded that more than 1,800 disasters occurred in 2005-2015, of which 78% of the disasters were hydrometeorological (floods, landslides, drought, forest, and land fires). Previous research also stated that the West Kalimantan region has several threats of disasters, such as the threat of floods, landslides, forest fires, which are scattered with a percentage of the area of 82.96%. This study explores students' initial knowledge about their understanding of disaster mitigation in the Kalimantan area. This research is essential because there is no single research data that shows the condition of students' prior knowledge of disaster mitigation in Kalimantan. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by observation and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using percentages. Overall, the level of students' knowledge regarding natural disaster mitigation in wetlands was in the moderate category, namely 44.85%. Understanding natural disaster mitigation includes learning, emergency response planning, disaster warning, and resource mobilization. The government alone cannot take all mitigation measures in society. Therefore, disaster education is limited to school students and must also be promoted to families and communities, which is very important for elaborating mitigation knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an atlas based on the wetland biodiversity of South Kalimantan. The development of the atlas in this research uses a 4-D development model, which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the development stage only reaches the development stage. The instrument in this study consisted is Instruments at the research phase include species identification sheet, ecosystem identification sheet, and community interview sheet, and the other Instruments at the development phase include learning atlas validation sheets. The results of documentation and identification showed that there were 83 species of plants, animals, and plants, with details of 65% plant species and 35% animal species. Furthermore, related to the development of a learning atlas based on the assessment of content experts, media experts, and practitioners, scores above 90% were obtained and obtained valid criteria. Meanwhile, the assessment of linguists gets an assessment of 80 - 88% with quite valid criteria.  The media atlas developed for further research can be applied to classroom learning to determine its effect on learning outcomes. Another thing that can be done is to change the atlas format in digital form so that it can be used virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini dalah untuk mendeskripsikan kajian etnosains pada lahan basah di Kalimantan Selatan berdasarkan aspek sosio-kultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan pada masyarakat jalan teluk Gampa Kelurahan Sungai Jingah Banjarmasin. Pengambilan data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara. Sedangkan data sekunder dari studi literatur mengenai sosio kultural masyarakat Kalimantan selatan. Pengukuran sosio-kultural berkaitan dengan kesejahteraan manusia di lahan basah. Kriteria dalam kajian sosio-kultural meliputi  nilai terapeutik, nilai kemudahan, nilai warisan, nilai spiritual, dan nilai keberadaan. Kelima nilai tersebut telah dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Namun pada nilai kemudahan masih kurang maksimal terutama terkait keberadaan tempat pariwisata di daerah lahan basah tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana proses pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi Covid-19 terhadap mahasiswa Pogram Studi PGSD FKIP-ULM pada mata kuliah Pengelolaan Kelas, Manajemen dan Administrasi Sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi Covid-19 terhadap mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD ULM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei yang dilakukan secara online. Variabel penelitian yang diteliti adalah proses pembelajaran daring mahasiswa PGSD ULM. Aspek pengukuran yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini meliputi aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran, media dan teknologi pembelajaran, layanan bantuan belajar. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yang penulis kumpulkan dengan memakai angket (Kuesioner). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses pembelajaran daring mahasiswa PGSD ULM yang memilih mata kuliah Pengelolaan Kelas, Manajemen dan Administrasi Sekolah digambarkan memiliki luaran yang cukup baik sebesar 42,4% dan baik sebesar 47,1%. Sedangkan dalam aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran, media dan teknologi pembelajaran, maupun layanan bantuan belajar, aspek strategi pembelajaran secara rata-rata menunjukkan cukup baik.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe discussion on STEM has been trending internationally since 2014 with 144 publications in IJ-STEM alone. For schools trying to use STEM education, it is important for teachers to first understand the major influences on developing students' talents using STEM. Sometimes, translating findings from STEM research into a workable form remains a challenge and a gap emerges. This gap between teachers and the education system, forces the need to hold a service workshop from lecturers to develop teachers' hands-on STEM skills to be applied in schools. The target of this activity is all teachers in the school, representing 28 teachers from SDN Handil Bakti, Barito Kuala Regency. This program is in the form of training conducted in the form of classical and group and mentoring which is carried out continuously for 3 months. The community service training went smoothly, this was marked by the attention and interactive questions and answers during the activity.  The result of this training is that it can add insight to teachers as much as 97.2%. The delivery of material is considered interactive, can improve skills in making STEM-integrated learning designs and making innovative learning models has been fulfilled with a minimum satisfaction index value of 82% far above the expected average.ABSTRAKPembahasan mengenai STEM telah menjadi tren secara internasional sejak 2014 yang telah mencapai 144 publikasi hanya di IJ-STEM. Bagi sekolah yang mencoba untuk menggunakan pendidikan STEM, maka penting bagi gurunya untuk memahami terlebih dahulu pengaruh besar terhadap pengembangan bakat siswa menggunakan STEM. Terkadang, menerjemahkan temuan dari penelitian STEM menjadi bentuk yang dapat diterapkan tetap menjadi tantangan tersendiri dan akhirnya muncul kesenjangan. Kesenjangan antara guru dengan sistem pendidikan ini, memaksa perlu diadakanya lokakarya pengabdian dari dosen untuk mengembangkan keterampilan langsung STEM guru untuk dapat diberlakukan di sekolah. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah seluruh guru di sekolah perwakilan guru-guru SDN Handil Bakti Kab. Barito Kuala yang berjumlah 28 orang. Program ini berupa pelatihan yang dilakukan dalam bentuk klasikal dan kelompok serta pendampingan yang dilakukan secara berkesinambung selama 3 bulan. Pelatihan pengabdian masuarakat berjalan lancer, hal ini ditandai dengan adanya perhatian dan tanya jawab berlangsung interaktif pada saat kegiatan berlangsung.  Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah dapat menambah wawasan guru sebanyak 97,2%. Penyampaian materi dianggap interaktif, dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dalam membuat rancangan pembelajaran terintegrasi STEM dan membuat model pembelajaran yang inovatif telah terpenuhi dengan nilai indeks kepuasan minimal sebesar 82% jauh di atas rata-rata yang diharapkan.
