Abstract

Seloko is a way of life in Jambi culture. This culture is passed down from the previous generation to the next generation through speech. This culture is a long process that is obtained from the learning of the environment. Seloko is a reflection of the life of a growing community and is combined with oral art. Seloko is often conveyed in sentences using metaphorical language as well as comparative figures of speech or parables so that not everyone can fully grasp its meaning. The use of words that are difficult for ordinary people to understand is a challenge in itself to preserve this culture so that it continues to live in the latest generation, which of course has limitations in understanding the languages used and interpreting these teachings. With the existing limitations related to human resources, it is feared that this wealth will become extinct if there is no effort to archive or preserve it in other media. Efforts to disseminate information regarding the existence and wealth of this tradition should be carried out by various parties. This project is aimed at revitalizing Jambi Malay traditional seloko as an effort to internationalize oral literature. Apart from translating, this activity is focused on analyzing the methods used and the constraints they face. The theory used is the translation method theory according to Newmark (1998). Methods of data collection in the form of documentation and interviews. The results of the activity show that, in the process of translating this seloko, the difficulties faced by the writer in translating oral literature are more to the technical constraints namely: 1. Difficulty finding the right coherence of words. 2. Difficulty making appropriate rhymes.

Abstract

Masalah makroekonomi yang selalu dihadapi suatu Negara yaitu inflasi, dimana pada dasarnya inflasi merupakan kenaikan harga secara umum pada suatu barang yang berlaku dalam suatu perekonomian dari suatu periode ke periode berikutnya. Inflasi sendiri terjadi disebabkan oleh dua hal yang sangat rentan menimbulkan peningkatan inflasi, diantara factor tersebut yaitu Demand-Pull Inflation dan Cost-Push Inflation dimana dua hal tersebut berhubungan dengan zakat, investasi, nilai tukar, BI rate dan pengeluaran pemerintah karena dapat memicu perubahan inflasi.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah ada pengaruh zakat, investasi, nilai tukar, BI rate dan pengeluran pemerintah terhadap inflasi di indonesia periode 2009-2019. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari BPS, BI, Kemendag melalui laporan instansi yang terpublikasikan yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan Program E-Views 10.  Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) variabel zakat, investasi, nilai tukar, BI rate dan pengeluran pemerintah secara parsial tidak berpengaruh terhadap inflasi di indonesia periode 2009-2019. (2) variabel zakat, investasi, nilai tukar, BI rate dan pengeluran pemerintah secara simultan tidak berpengaruh terhadap inflasi di indonesia periode 2009-2019. (3) Konsep inflasi dalam padangan islam mengacu pada teori inflasi Al-Maqrizi yang menyatakan bahwa inflasi terjadi bisa terjadi oleh keadaan alamiah dan juga human error serta system yang tidak transparan dan akuntabel. Terjadinya peningkatan inflasi ini dapat diminimalisir dengan konsep zakat melalui demand pull inflasition, sedangkan investasi berperan dalam menekan inflasi melalui cost pust inflation. Disisi lain juga bahwa variable makroekonomi seperti nilai tukar, BI Rate dan Pengeluaran Pemerintah berperan mengendalikan inflasi dengan merapkan konsep islam yaitu larangan riba, maysir dan mengutamakan asas keadilan.

Abstract

Many television commercials participate in campaigning the awareness of covid-19 virus spread as well as the implementation of New Normal which is defined as the time to follow health protocol while maintaining the distance from others, in adapting with the existence of the virus. The commercial of Sukun, in the episode of “Sukun lebaran 2021 “sing penting duite”, also partakes in informing public on the significance of celebrating Idul Fitri with the smallest and closest group of people in order to be safe from the virus. This portrayal is unlike Indonesia’s decades of customs in celebrating this Islamic Holiday by mudik, gathering with many people, and visiting others’ houses. In order to analyze this advertisement in relaying positive campaign, this research employs qualitative method specifically Gillian Rose’s Visual Methodology. Rose defines meaning of images is completed at three sites; the image itself, the production of the image, and the audience. Meaning of image made by the image itself is selected as approach in gaining more focused analysis. In addition, this research employs Stuart Hall’s representation theory regarding the adjustment in celebrating the day. The research finds that the brief commercial employs simple language so that the message becomes informative and persuasive. Hence, “sing penting duite” is established as the center of attention. The presented visual which compared the past and today celebration highlights the changing and the effort to adapt with current situation. Afterward, this also signifies the support and empowerment toward the viewer during this global pandemic.

Abstract

This study analyzes the values ​​contained in the novel entitled "Anna Karenina". Where in the novel contains the elements of values ​​that are analyzed are individual values ​​and social values. The aims of this research are (1) to analyze what individual values ​​are contained in the novel “Anna Karenina” (2) to analyze what social values ​​are contained in the novel “Anna Karenina” (3) to compare the values individual and social values ​​contained in the novel "Anna Karenina". Researchers uses descriptive analysis method in conducting this research. The researcher uses a qualitative research method design as a research design. In this research, the researcher uses the theory of sociology of literature, the theory of individual values ​​and social values. The source of the data in this study is the novel "Anna Karenina" in 1877 by Leo Tolstoy. From the results of this research, based on the theory of Individual Basic Values ​​from Schwartz, the researcher found 10 individual values ​​owned by the Anna Karenina’s character, based on the characteristics put according by Durkehim, the researcher found social values, then the researchers found a comparison of individual values ​​to social values, including comparisons power values ​​with social values, hedonism values ​​with social values, and a comparison of self-direction values ​​with social values.
