Abstract

Homecoming activities that occur each approaching Eid certainly make travelers feel exhausted on the way to their hometown. So with that it requires activities that help travelers. In this case we provide a place to rest for travelers and provide free massage for travelers. Massage comes from the French word "masser" which means rubbing or from the Arabic word "mash" which means to press it gently or from the Greek word "massien" which means to massage or wrap. With the provision of massage it is expected that travelers can relax and make the body fit again. Based on the above problems, we need a place of rest for travelers who drive motorized vehicles and volunteers who are able to reduce driver fatigue by giving free massage to the travelers. With this done, it is expected that the smoothness and safety of motorists who make homecoming in 2019 can be maintained until they are in their respective hometowns. The target of this community service activity is travelers in 2019 who pass through Banyuwangi City. The preparatory stages include location survey, after that coordinate with the campus to hold campus room loan licensing as a place of rest and massage place for the homecomers. In addition, we are socializing to the public that there will be a free massage at Campus C, Uniba Banyuwangi. Providing all the facilities of massages, such as mattresses, olive oil and towels. The implementation phase is carried out May 18-19, 2019. The homecomers are recorded by filling in attendance and biodata. Travelers come into the room to rest and are given massage treatment. Based on the results of community service activities that have been carried out, the people who have been going home in 2019 are happy and are greatly helped by the location of free rest and massage. The resting place is very helpful for travelers to see a long time in travel and the long distance traveled by the travelers. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has been around for more than two years. One of them is Indonesia. School closures are one of the consequences of Covid-19 for the world of education. In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, educational institutions such as schools carry out online or online learning processes (in the network) as an effort to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. After approximately 2 years of face-to-face learning held again, of course it will cause changes in the learning process and there will be adjustments to the new habits of students after online learning. In addition, one of the impacts that affect learning is the enthusiasm and motivation of school students to learn. During the pandemic, of course, online learning that is less effective and maximally makes a significant impact on the way students learn, who tend to only be given assignments, of course, causing boredom, which can certainly have an impact on other aspects. The return of students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn does not just happen in a short period of time, but takes a long time because of a new adaptation process with new learning activities. All elements involved in the student learning process, both in the school and home environment, must all be interrelated and support one another.

Abstract

Seloko is a way of life in Jambi culture. This culture is passed down from the previous generation to the next generation through speech. This culture is a long process that is obtained from the learning of the environment. Seloko is a reflection of the life of a growing community and is combined with oral art. Seloko is often conveyed in sentences using metaphorical language as well as comparative figures of speech or parables so that not everyone can fully grasp its meaning. The use of words that are difficult for ordinary people to understand is a challenge in itself to preserve this culture so that it continues to live in the latest generation, which of course has limitations in understanding the languages used and interpreting these teachings. With the existing limitations related to human resources, it is feared that this wealth will become extinct if there is no effort to archive or preserve it in other media. Efforts to disseminate information regarding the existence and wealth of this tradition should be carried out by various parties. This project is aimed at revitalizing Jambi Malay traditional seloko as an effort to internationalize oral literature. Apart from translating, this activity is focused on analyzing the methods used and the constraints they face. The theory used is the translation method theory according to Newmark (1998). Methods of data collection in the form of documentation and interviews. The results of the activity show that, in the process of translating this seloko, the difficulties faced by the writer in translating oral literature are more to the technical constraints namely: 1. Difficulty finding the right coherence of words. 2. Difficulty making appropriate rhymes.

Abstract

Research on the quality of ground water has been performed through boreholes in the city of Balikpapan to find out an indications of the potential of sea water intrusion based on data. The study began with choosing the companies as groundwater user in two places, namely the coastal of manggar and the coastal of the city of Balikpapan. The next steps were to take the drill water samples and examine the quality. The examined were salinity, TDS (Total Dissolve Solid), conductivity and pH of water. The water categories were divided into 3 ie fresh water, with salinity value <1 ppt; brackish with salinity value between 1-3 ppt; and salt water with value> 3 ppt. After those steps the data were interpreted and then contructed to be the image of salinity contour.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Earthquake activity in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) gives rise to ground movement, this ground movement can be used to predict the intensity of the next earthquake. The purpose of this study is to determine the movement of land based on the pattern of maximum soil velocity that occurred due to the Lombok Earthquake July 29, 2018, which can be used to predict the intensity of the next earthquake. This study uses secondary earthquake data (magnitude) obtained from the USGS (United States Geological Survey). Magnitude data were analyzed using empirical formulas so that the values of intensity, maximum ground velocity and contour maps were obtained. The results show that the movement of the land due to the earthquake moved very quickly towards the north, quickly towards the east, quickly towards the south and finally to the south slowly. The highest maximum ground velocity located in Obel-Obel Village with the value of 23,2 cm / s. The calculation result in the form of this maximum ground velocity can be used as a parameter to predict the upcoming earthquakes that will occur at Lombok or the other side of world.
