Abstract

This was a descriptive qualitative research which was aimed to describe the cultural values of Minangkabau in the Negeri 5 Menara novel by Ahmad Fuadi. The sources of data of this research were written data of Negeri 5 Menara novel itself. The findings of this research showed that there were 145 data of cultural values of Minangkabau in this novel which consist of 39 data related to the value of human relationship with the Creator, 41 data related to the value of human relationships with others, 28 data related to the value of fostering unity, and 30 data related to the value of consensus and agreement.

Abstract

This study is the first study in the identification of the problems faced in science subjects. The purpose of this research is to identify the underlying science difficulty in elementary school. The study is a quantitative study using descriptive research methods. These data collecting techniques use interview instruments, observation sheets and learning results (cognitive) tests. The findings of this study provide information leading to the difficulty of learning elementary student science. One of the subjects that has to be mastered at an elementary level is the subject of natural science. The implications of elementary science study should make it possible to cultivate the curiosity of learners scientifically. But the reality is not that all trainees have mastered competence as expected. This lack of natural science concepts is due to the difficulty of learners in responding to learning given by their teachers.

Abstract

Classroom management is an effort made by the teacher in preparing everything related to learning activities in order to create a comfortable learning environment to obtain conducive learning. Classroom management is very important in the learning process so that students are more focused during the learning process. This study examines the influence of classroom management in creating effectiveness in the learning process in schools, which is the purpose of this study to describe classroom management planning, classroom management implementation and supporting and inhibiting factors in classroom management. The results of this study are very important for the effectiveness of learning, managing them well then learning activities will also run well so that students can focus and receive learning well at school.
