Abstract

Averaged productivity of paddy in Gorontalo on 2009 was 4.56 t / ha. The productivity of paddy plants is lower compared with the potential yields that can produce 8.0 t / ha. One of the causing problems of low productivity is the attack of pests. Paddy plants have many pests, primary and non-primary. Litbang has released many new superior varieties (NSV) of paddy rice with various advantages of each variety, especially resistance to certain pests. However, some varieties do not show resistance to pests in certain agroecosystems. The objective of the assessment was to obtain resistant or tolerant tolerant paddy field NSV in the Gorontalo agroecosystem. The assessment consisted of two experiments ie : (1) Assessment of NSV resistance to pest attack and (2) Survey of the type and level of rice pest populations in the two selected districts. The study used Randomized Block Design and survey methods in Kabupaten Gorontalo and Boalemo from January to December 2012. The paddy field NSVs in the test were Inpari 2, Inpari 3, Inpari 4, Inpari 6, Inpari 7, Inpari 9, Inpari 10 and Inpari 13 and Ciherang and memberamo as control / comparison. Inpari 4 and Inpari 10 varieties tend to have resistance to pests and have high yield potential in the field. The dominant and potentially destructive pests in each plant stadia are stem borer, crackle, HPP, grayak caterpillar and earthen bundle. The natural enemies that are dominant in helping balance natural ecosystems are spiders and telenomus.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra PKM adalah minimnya sumber daya manusia yang ahli dalam mengolah eceng gondok  untuk membuat kerajinan tangan yang berbahan eceng gondok. dan pemasaran produk kerajinan tangan eceng gondok masih bersifat lokal (Kota Makassar). Tujuan kegiatan untuk meningkatan taraf ekonomi atau kesejahteraan ibu-ibu PKK dan masyarakat di Kelurahan Sambung Jawa Kecamatan Mamajang Kota Makassar melalui pendekatan ilmu pengetahuan yang sesuai dengan amanat Tri darma perguruan tinggi. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut ditempuh melalui metode pembelajaran andragogik yang lebih menekankan pada pelatihan teknis (praktek), mulai dari keterampilan desain produk, teknis produksi sampai pada sistem manajemen pemasaran produk. PKM tersebut adalah membantu para ibu-ibu PKK dan masyarakat baik dalam penyediaan enceng gondok sebagai bahan anyaman beserta aksesorisnya maupun sejumlah peralatannya untuk penunjang pembuatan produk, sehingga desain produk yang ditawarkan bisa terlaksana sesuai dengan harapan, berkualitas serta berciri khas sehingga bisa bersaing dipasaran.Kata kunci: Kata Kunci: Eceng Gondok, Ibu-ibu PKK, KesejahteraanABSTRACTThe problem experienced by PKM partners is the lack of skilled human resources in processing water hyacinth to make handicrafts made from water hyacinth. and marketing of water hyacinth handicraft products is still local (Makassar City). The purpose of the activity is to improve the economic level or welfare of PKK mothers and the community in the Java Connect Village, Mamajang District, Makassar City through a scientific approach that is in accordance with the mandate of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. To achieve this goal, it is pursued through the andragogic learning method which emphasizes technical training (practice), starting from product design skills, production techniques to product marketing management systems. The PKM is to help PKK mothers and the community both in providing water hyacinth as a woven material and its accessories as well as a number of equipment to support product manufacture, so that the product design offered can be carried out according to expectations, with quality and distinctive so that it can compete in the market. Keywords: Water Hyacinth, PKK mothers, welfare

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan usaha industri rumah tangga Sarung Hitam (Tope Le’leng) Desa Tana Toa Kecamatan Kajang Kabupaten Bulukumba. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research). Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan sekunder. Informan utama dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 15 yang terdapat sebagai tiga pemilik usaha, delapan karyawan dan empat konsumen.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). Analisis usaha indutri rumah tangga Sarung Tenun Hitam Kajang dinyatakan layak sebab telah memenuhi kelayakan bisnis sebagaimana dinyatakan dalam aspek-aspek analisis kelayakan bisnis. 2). Proses produksi sarung hitam (tope le’leng) di Desa Tana Toa Kecamatan Kajang Kabupaten Bulukumba. Pertama adalah pemberian warna (a’nyila) benang dicelup sesuai warna alami yang dihasilkan dari daun tarum selama 5 hari, selanjutnya penghanian, proses pemintalan benang sepanjang 5 meter dan lebar 75 cm. Selanjutnya menggulung benang pada alat paturung kemudian masuklah proses menenun.Kata Kunci : Kelayakan usaha, Sarung Hitam Kajang.
