Abstract

Research to model coal deposits in the Bentarsari Basin area of Salem District in Brebes Regency has been done using the geoelectric-resistivity method with Wenner configuration. Resistivity data acquisition is carried out on five tracks, with each track has a length of 200 m. The least squares inversion method is applied to obtain a 2D-resistivity section model. Furthermore, the 2D-resistivity section model data for each line is combined into a 3D model to determine the coal deposit model in the area. The results of the interpretation indicate that the subsurface structure of the area consists of clay, sandy clay, coal, and sandstone; where the type of coal is lignite. This coal deposit has resistivity values with interval of 86.1 – 219.0 Ωm, which is distributed evenly with depth of 0.0 – 26.5 m, where the southern part of the all track has a higher potential. This research can be followed up with log drill testing to determine the actual subsurface layer, so that it can be utilized as a very economical alternative energy.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) telah dilaksanakan dengan topik “Realisasi Pembuatan Sumur Dalam (Deep Well) bagi Masyarakat Desa Pekuncen Kecamatan Jatilawang, Kabupaten Banyumas Berdasarkan Data Resistivitas Hasil Survei Geolistrik”. Tujuan kegiatan PKM adalah melakukan realisasi pembuatan sumur dalam berdasarkan hasil-hasil survei geolistrik di sekitar Masjid Sabilul Huda Desa Pekuncen Kecamatan Jatilawang Kabupaten Banyumas; dan menyerahkannya kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan PKM dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu survei geolistrik, realisasi pembuatan sumur, dan penyerahan sumur kepada masyarakat. Pengeboran sumur telah dilakukan hingga kedalaman 80 m. Sumur dalam yang telah direalisasikan ini menunjukkan keberadaan air tanah pada kedalaman lebih dari 47 m pada lapisan pasir berbutir halus hingga kasar. Hasil yang diperoleh tersebut hampir sama dengan kedalaman air tanah hasil survei geolistrik, yaitu 47,6 m dengan nilai resistivitas 4,86 – 6,29 m yang diinterpretasi sebagai pasir halus. Berdasarkan hasil observasi menggunakan wawancara dan lembar kuisioner, indeks capaian rata-rata keberhasilan kegiatan PKM adalah 84,19%, dengan nilai tertinggi adalah dukungan terhadap realisasi hasil survei geolistrik dalam bentuk pembuatan sumur, sebesar 92%,; sedangkan nilai terendah adalah memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh tim dosen PKM terkait hasil survei geolistrik dan korelasinya dengan hasil pengeboran, sebesar 75%.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat – Program Penerapan IPTEKS dengan judul “Pelatihan Pembuatan Tungku Hemat Energi Berbahan Dasar Kaleng Bekas dengan Bahan Bakar Sekam Padi untuk Skala Rumah Tangga” telah dilakukan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melakukan alih teknologi pembuatan tungku hemat energi dari kaleng bekas dengan bahan bakar sekam padi, serta sosialisasi teknis pemanfaatannya bagi masyarakat Desa Nusamangir, Kecamatan Kemranjen, Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan praktek. Setelah kegiatan dilakukan, sebagian besar peserta telah memberikan respons yang positif serta terdapat keinginan untuk menerapkan dan menyebarluaskannya. Indeks capaian rata-rata keberhasilan kegiatan berdasarkan monitoring menggunakan kuisioner adalah 82,77%, dengan indeks tertinggi 94,64% dan indeks terendah adalah 75,00%. Tingkat pemahaman peserta kegiatan PKM terhadap materi alih teknologi dan sosialisasi yang diberikan cukup optimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil rekapitulasi nilai pre-test dan post-test, dimana rata-rata nilai pre-test adalah 4,79, sedangkan rata-rata nilai post-test adalah 7,61. Dengan demikian terdapat kenaikan nilai pre-test ke post-test sebesar 58,95% yang menunjukkan bahwa penyerapan materi PKM oleh peserta telah sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.

Abstract

The Activities of Community Services (PKM) – The Application of Science and Technology program has been done with the entitle “Training on Manufacturing of Simple Equipment for Earthquake Early Warning Using a Pendulum for the Coastal Area Community of Cilacap Regency”. The purpose of this activity is to disseminate the introduction of an early warning system of earthquakes for rural communities in the coastal area of ​​Cilacap Regency and technical training for making simple equipment for earthquake early warning using a pendulum. The method used in this activity is the combination of discourse, discussion, and practice. After transfer of technology has been done, largely participant gives positive response for this community services activity, and there is a desire to implement and disseminate it. The average attainment index of this community services activity successfulness based on the observations results using a questionnaire is 82.03%; with highest index is 87.50% and lowest index is 73.75%. The participant understanding to the matters of transfer of technology and socialization given were enough optimal. It can be known on the recapitulation results of pre-test and post-test values, where the average pre-test value is 3.79 and the post-test is 6.95. Thus, there is the value ascension about 83.33%, and it shows that the mastery and understanding of the knowledge given has approached expectations

Abstract

Technical training on manufacturing low pressure water filter for community of Kedungrandu Village, Patikraja District, Banyumas Regency has been done in April – July 2017. The background of this activity is the presence of pollution in the community wells water that allegedly due to intrusion of liquid waste resulted from decomposition process of organic waste at the landfill of Gunung Tugel, Kedungrandu Village. The objective of this activity is to do socialization and technical training of manufacture the low pressure water filter to treat the well water which been contaminated into water that feasible to be consumed based on the physics parameter. While the expected benefits of this activity is be obtained the well water which clean, clear, hygienic, and feasible to be consumed for people that living in the area around of the TPA Gunung Tugel. After the technical training activity has been done, the largely participants give some positively response on this activity and there are their desire to implement and disseminate it. The average attainment index of this activity successfulness that based on the observation results utilizes quiz is 85.16%; with the highest index is 92.19% (for item of support to the technical training activity with topics like the above as effort to add knowledge) and the lowest index is 77.34%% (for item of able to understand the material of PKM that been tought by the team of lecturers nicely). The understanding and mastery of participant of the activity to the technical training matters that given have rather good, although still needs improved again. It can be known from the recapitulation results of pre-test and post-test values, where the average of the pre-test value is 3.375; and while the average of the post-test value is 7.178. Thus there is the ascension from the pre-test value up to the post-test value is about of 112.70%. Although the cost is relatively cheap, the realization of the water filter manufacturing is also lacking, due limited funds and no special fund support from the village government

Abstract

Abstract – Drought is a disaster that often occurs in Metenggeng Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency. In order to solve this problem, the Community Service team of Jenderal Sudirman University has collaborated with the Indonesian Wells Waqf team to do geoelectric measurements to drill wells in the Al-Jihad Mosque complex. The results of geoelectrical measurements show that the aquifer layer is obtained at a depth of more than 30.72 m and a resistivity value of 15.05 m. The socialization of the results of geoelectric measurements for the exploration of groundwater sources at the Al-Jihad Mosque in Metenggeng Village has been carried out with a very good response from the target audience. The construction and handover of wells with a depth of 50 m have also been well realized. A strong supporting factor for the success of community service activities is the willingness and realization of the target audience to maintain the sustainability of the drilled well so that it can be used for the community for a long time.

Abstract

Desa Petir, Kecamatan Purwanegara, Kabupaten Banjarnegara merupakan wilayah yang terletak di zona Pegunungan Serayu Selatan dengan kondisi geologi yang sangat komplek. Desa ini berada di luar cekungan air tanah, sehingga permasalahan yang sering terjadi adalah kekeringan dan krisis air. Kegiatan PKM telah dilakukan untuk membantu masyarakat Desa Petir memperoleh sumber air tanah. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan survei geolistrik, sehingga diperoleh lapisan akuifer. Lapisan akuifer di desa ini diperkirakan tersusun atas kerakal dan kerikil dengan nilai resistivitas sebesar 16,49 Wm pada kedalaman 65,18 – 86,97 m. Data kedalaman ini ditindaklanjuti dengan pengeboran sumur di sekitar Masjid At-Taqwa hingga kedalaman 100 m. Sosialisasi hasil survei geolistrik dan korelasinya dengan data hasil pengeboran sumur telah dilaksanakan bersama dengan penyerahan sumur bor dari mitra kegiatan kepada khalayak sasaran. Kegiatan PKM telah berhasil dengan baik berdasarkan hasil observasi, dengan beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat.

Abstract

Pelatihan teknis pembuatan instalasi sederhana pengolahan air hujan menjadi air minum bagi masyarakat Desa Banteran Kecamatan Sumbang Kabupaten Banyumas telah dilaksanakan. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan teknis bagi masyarakat Desa Banteran terkait pembuatan instalasi sederhana pengolahan air hujan menjadi air minum. Tahapan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan meliputi pelatihan teknis dan realisasi pembuatan instalasi. Kegiatan ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi bagi pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam membantu penyediaan air minum yang murah dan mudah sehingga terwujud pola hidup sehat dan ekonomis. Setelah pelatihan teknis dan realisasi instalasi dilaksanakan, selanjutnya dilakukan observasi. Hasil observasi menggunakan kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan ini. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari capaian rata-rata keberhasilan kegiatan sebesar 78,83%; dengan nilai capaian tertinggi sebesar 88,33% untuk item dukungan dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan teknis untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat desa tentang teknologi tepat guna; serta nilai capaian terendah sebesar 66,67% untuk kesediaan peserta menjadi pioneer dalam menyebarluaskan hasil kegiatan pelatihan teknis. Rendahnya nilai capaian ini diperkirakan karena peserta belum memiliki kesiapan dan pemahaman yang cukup untuk menjadi pioneer penyebarluasan hasil-hasil kegiatan. Hal ini didukung pemahaman peserta terhadap materi pelatihan teknis yang telah disampaikan tim dosen yang hanya memperoleh capaian sebesar 73,33%.

Abstract

The research was carried out in the gold ore prospect area of ​​Paningkaban Village, Gumelar District, Banyumas Regency. This research aims to map magnetic anomaly data and model subsurface geological structures in two dimensions (2D) based on tilt derivative analysis of magnetic anomalies data which are reduced to the poles. The tilt derivative filter serves to reinforce the boundaries of geological structures, especially faults and intrusive rocks, thus facilitating the interpreting process of magnetic anomalies data. Magnetic field data processing is carried out to obtain local magnetic anomalies data. Furthermore, the local anomalies data are reduced to the poles, in order to obtain local magnetic anomalies data reduced to the poles with values ranging from -381.8 nT – 218.7 nT. Based on the tilt derivative analysis, the high-value anomaly contrast patterns are in the east - west direction. This can be interpreted as a pattern of distribution of fault structures and intrusive rock bodies in the research area which is a path of gold mineralization. 2D-modeling has been carried out using Geosoft Oasis Montaj v. 8.4 to obtain the subsurface geological structure model in the AA', BB', and CC' sections. The 2D-modeling results show that in the AA' section there is one andesitic intrusion, in the BB' section there are two andesite intrusions, and in the CC' section there are one intrusion and one fault. The intrusive rock is thought to be the location of gold mineralization.
