Abstract

Art education is an activity to make humans able to survive and be able to show their identity in the future. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the current problems of education, and efforts to deal with the current problems of art education. The method used is a phenomenological approach, and data collection is done by conducting observations and interviews. The results showed that some of the learning problems were the lack of facilities and infrastructure, the competence of art teachers in schools, and the lack of student interest in learning. One effort to overcome this is through action learning models in learning to form students' inductive thinking skills.

Abstract

Instrumen gendrang merupakan instrumen ritmis identitas khas Bugis. Tetapi saat ini, eksotika instrumen gendrang tidak menampakkan keindahannya oleh karena dominasi instrumen budaya lain yang masuk pada wilayah kebudayaan Bugis khususnya pada daerah kabupaten Soppeng, baik dalam ranah pertunjukan maupun ranah pembelajaran di lembaga pendidikan formal. Dampak yang signifikan terjadi adalah kebutaan para masyarakat khususnya peserta didik tentang instrumen gendrang sehingga peneliti mengemukakan masalah tentang klasifikasi instrumen gendrang dalam konteks masyarakat Kabupaten Soppeng. Tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk menjelaskan tentang bentuk instrumen gendrang, mendekripsikan pola tabuhan, dan menganalisis peran ekonomi dalam instrumen gendrang. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari segi material instrumen menunjukkan bahwa instrumen gendrang mempunyai ciri khas tersendiri dibandingkan dengan instrumen gendang yang mendominasi saat ini di kabupaten Soppeng, mengenai pola tabuhan bahwa dalam konteks masyarakat kabupaten Soppeng mempunyai pola tabuhan tersendiri dan bagi pelaku produksi instrumen gendrang mempunyai peran ekonomi yang nyatanya mampu untuk menambah penghasilan ekonomi keluarga

Abstract

AbstrakKomunitas Peduli Pendidikan Kabupaten Soppeng adalah suatu komunitas yang bergerak dalam bidang pendidikan. Komunitas ini merupakan wadah bagi para relawan untuk berkumpul dan memberikan sumbangsi ilmu pengetahuan dalam pelbagai bidang, salah satunya adalah seni budaya. Peserta pembelajar pada komunitas ini adalah pelajar dari berbagai tingkatan sekolah, mulai dari sekolah dasar sampai pada sekolah menengah pertama. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberi pelatihan dalam bentuk pengetahuan baik secara teori maupun secara praktek kepada generasi muda khususnya peserta pembelajar pada komunitas ini, agar mereka mengenal musik tradisional gendang Bugis bukan hanya pada memainkan alat musik tersebut, akan tetapi memberi pengetahuan bagaimana belajar membaca notasi musik dengan menggunakan media alat musik gendang tersebut. Notasi yang dimaksud adalah notasi balok yang merupakan satu-satunya bahasa resmi untuk pencatatan musik diseluruh dunia. Keywords: Pelatihan, Gendang Bugis, Komunitas

Abstract

Talking about education, the position is like being in a wide and deep sea. Therefore, education is always changing from time to time whose goal will be to swim to land or dive into the deep sea. Based on this, the author presents this paper with the aim of reviewing the education policy era of Minister Nadiem Makarim in the educational ideology agenda. MBKM through its 4 main policies seems to be systematically dehumanizing through a systematic way of working, which puts students into the screws in the framework of industrial development .

Abstract

When national education policy in Indonesia first included art as a content of the formal learning curriculum, art learning in schools has generally underwent many developments. The dynamics of its development also raise conceptual and practical issues, one of which is about the basic paradigm of art education in higher education (universities) that prepare art teachers in public schools. This research aims to find the educational philosophy that underlies and emphasizes the concept of art education in Indonesia so that it can guide the formulation of the curriculum content of art lessons in schools. This research uses the hermeneutic-philosophical method through three steps: finding and describing concepts, systematizing concepts, and then testing the level of explanation of the resulting concept system. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the philosophy of art education in Indonesia refers to the cultural values of the Indonesian nation formulated in the philosophy of Pancasila and the opening of the 1945 Constitution. The paradigm of art education in Indonesia must also be based on the philosophical concepts of Pancasila. The implication is that the concepts of formal art education in Indonesia, which include goals, curriculum content, students and educators, as well as the socio-cultural environment, must integrate the values of Pancasila.

Abstract

Intisari. Gendang Bugis Arajang merupakan salah satu instrumen musik tradisional yang tidak terkenal di kalangan seniman, guru, budayawan, dan juga peserta didik khususnya pada masyarakat Bugis di Sulawesi Selatan. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi sistem kerja ideologi pewarisan pengetahuan gendang bugis dengan menganalisis menggunakan konsep Ideologi State Aparatus Althusser. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa, pelaku dalam memainkan gendang Bugis adalah status ata. Status sosial ata adalah status sosial terendah dalam hirarki kerajaan. Penyajian dan pewarisan gendang Bugis yang dilakukan oleh ata sebagai salah satu ketaatan terhadap hierarki kasta tertinggi. Salah satu faktor penyebab kepatuhan penuh terhadap nilai, norma adalah agar masyarakat (ata) menerima kenyataan yang sepenuhnya oleh kasta dirinya sendiri. Kepercayaan masyarakat melalui struktur dominasi hierarki dapat memberikan kerangka yang membatasi pandangan masyarakat tentang gendang Bugis. Norma-norma sosial dan nilai-nilai yang tertanam dalam diri seorang ata sepanjang hidupnya memainkan peran dalam proses tata kerja ideologi. Kata Kunci: gendang bugis arajang, pewarisan, soppeng, Althusser, ideologi state aparatus Abstract. Gendang Bugis Arajang (Arajang Bugis drum) is one of the traditional musical instruments that is not well known among artists, teachers, cultural experts, and also students, especially in the Bugis community in South Sulawesi. The writing of this article aims to investigate the ideological work system of the Bugis drum knowledge inheritance by analyzing it using Althusser's concept of Ideological State Apparatus. The results show that the actor in playing the Bugis drum is the ata status. The social status of ata is the lowest social status in the royal hierarchy. The presentation and inheritance of Bugis drums performed by ata is one of obedience to the highest caste hierarchy. One of the factors causing full compliance with values, norms is for the community (ata) to accept the reality that is fully by its own caste. Community beliefs through hierarchical dominance structures can provide a framework that limits the community's view of Bugis drumming. Social norms and values embedded in an ata throughout his/her life play a role in the process of ideological governance. Keywords: gendang bugis, inheritance, soppeng, Althusser, state apparatus ideology

Abstract

This research on traditional arts related to religion or belief aims to uncover the life cycle flow of the Makassarese people through Rate's singing. The specific objectives of this research are to answer the following questions: (1) What is the function of Rate' singing? (2) Why is Rate's singing currently rarely performed in Makassar ethnic communities? (3) How can the regeneration of Rate's singing be achieved? This ethnographic qualitative research employs various data collection methods, including observation, interviews, and document studies. The research was conducted in Makassar and Gowa cities. The results indicate the following: (1) The function of Rate' in the Makassarese community is primarily as a medium for prayer, an invitation for good fortune, a rejection of bad luck, a confirmation of customary procedures, and a means of ethical education for the next generation. Rate' singing in sacred Makassarese activities aims to bring people closer to God; (2) The period of turmoil in Sulawesi, starting with the arrival of Japan and followed by the struggle for Indonesian independence, influenced the continuity of traditional art in South Sulawesi, particularly Makassarese art. After the security in South Sulawesi gradually recovered, the community began to focus on improving their welfare, viewing cultural arts, especially traditional ceremonies, as wasteful and non-materially beneficial; (3) Rate' singing faced near extinction as the nobility, or karaeng descendants, began to lose their traditional culture. The remaining Pa'Rate' are few and elderly, with no successors to inherit their knowledge. As a form of literature, the traditional way of conveying Rate' is known only to older generations. The transmission of ma'Rate's skills is conducted within the Parate family itself.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: In the context of the digital era, the transmission of moral values faces increasing challenges due to the dominance of globalized, visual, and fast-paced content. This study aims to explore how Gendang Bugis a traditional Bugis musical performance, functions as a medium of moral pedagogy when represented and recontextualized on digital platforms Methodology: This research adopts an exploratory qualitative approach, employing digital ethnographic techniques. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and content analysis of Gendang Bugis representations on social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Survey instruments: semi-structured interview guide and observation checklist. Main Findings: The main results indicate that digital performances of Gendang Bugis effectively transmit core moral values such as discipline, respect, solidarity, and cooperation. Senior performers act as moral role models, while youth audiences engage through affective and interactive virtual platforms. This online interaction fosters deeper value internalization. Moreover, digital platforms broaden access, promote intergenerational moral dialogue, and reinforce the pedagogical strength of traditional arts, even amid concerns over cultural authenticity and shifting modes of transmission in modern contexts Novelty/Originality of this study: This study presents a novel evaluative framework that integrates traditional performance pedagogy with digital ethnography. The results highlight the active role of digitalized traditional arts in moral education. It emphasizes the urgency of developing culturally grounded, digitally adaptive educational content and encourages the integration of traditional arts into both formal and informal education systems in a relevant and contextual manner.
