Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VII. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VII-4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji normalitas,uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis dan uji n-gain. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil belajar pretest kelas kontrol 45,3 dan pada kelas eksperimen 45,4 %. Sedangkan pada hasil belajar posttest kelas kontrol memperoleh 77,3% dan posttest kelas eksperimen 84,6%. Pada hasil tes peserta didik melakukan pretest dan posttest sehingga didapatkan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,74 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol menandakan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa pada materi pencermaran lingkungan kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tigalingga.

Abstract

The availability of learning resources is an important component in lectures so that students can learn chemistry optimally and maximize their potential. The aim of this research is to describe the results of interviews and questionnaires analyzing learning resource needs by lecturers and students regarding learning gas chromatography in separation chemistry courses at Medan State University. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The respondents were one scholarship chemistry lecturer and 30 Chemistry Department students who had taken separation chemistry courses. This research instrument uses interview sheets and needs analysis questionnaires presented on the Google Form platform. Data analysis techniques by describing data from interviews and questionnaires regarding the need for gas chromatography learning resources are explained in detail. The results of this research are that students need learning resources in the form of open materials and virtual laboratories to support the learning process in separation chemistry subjects, especially gas chromatography. The learning resources in question are project-based learning resources that can be accessed online/digitally, containing gas chromatography teaching materials, equipped with examples of relevant contextual projects, illustrations with virtual laboratory media integration, hyperlinks to trusted websites, problem solving tests and evaluations. able to make students very enthusiastic about working on projects, completing and submitting reports correctly so that they can improve their learning outcomes and skills in gas chromatography material. It is hoped that the results of the analysis can be used as a basis for developing learning resources according to student needs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students of class X MIPA SMA N 1 Lintongnihuta who were taught using the concept attainment learning model and who were taught using conventional learning on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials and to find out the significant influence of the application of the learning model concept attainment to improve student learning outcomes on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA SMA N 1 Lintongnihuta, totaling 6 classes. The research sample was class X MIPA 3 as an experimental class which was taught using a concept attainment learning model and class X MIPA 5 as a control class which was taught using conventional learning. This study used a test instrument of 17 multiple choice questions. The results showed that the average experimental class student learning outcomes before and after the application of the concept attainment learning model were 44,58 and 78,83 respectively, and increased by 61%. The average learning outcomes of control class students before and after conventional learning were carried out were 42,33 and 70,52 respectively, and increased by 48%. Hypothesis testing was carried out with a one-party t test with the results of research on the concept attainment learning model, the results obtained were tcount(3.542) > ttable(1.996), then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means there is a significant effect on the use of the learning model on concept attainment on student learning outcomes on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.
