Abstract

Kamardikan keris, historically is a continuation of previous tangguh keris and part of the ancient relics in theform of material culture. As a material culture, Kamardikan keris has the form (dhapur), technique andfunction with its own characteristics and uniqueness. Kamardikan keris has a variety of dhapur among others:dhapur tangguh (classic-conventional) and dhapur creations (contemporary). Creativity arises due to internalfactors (personal) of self Kamardikan kris artists, and externally influenced by the surrounding environment.Individually, they act as creators and communicators who then receive a response from community supporters.As the indicator support is the emergence of a variety of organizations and educational institutions kerislovers of art which is the agent of the keris activity. Keris has an important position in the cultural traditions ofthe people of Java, but as a sign and symbol (meaning), which in the past was considered as the legitimateroyal power, now turned into a branding of existence and social status of person.Keywords: keris, kamardikan, creativity

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemberdayaan industri kerajinan logam dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing industri yang berorientasi pada produk ekspor, dimana konsentrasi penggunaan bahan baku utama didominasi bahan baku logam seperti tembaga, aluminium dan kuningan yang berada di di Desa Tumang. Penggunaan alat yang sederhana merupakan salah satu mengapa produk kerajinan tidak bisa memenuhi permintaan pasar dalam waktu yang singkat. Sehingga diperlukan strategi bagaimana memecahkan permasalahan tersebut. Disamping itu, banyak permasalahan-permasalahan lain yang diperlukan penanganan sehingga kegiatan pemberdayaan ini sangat dibutuhkan. Fokus dari kegiatan pemberdayaan ini lebih diarahkan pada pada aspek peningkatan kualitas produksi Kerajinan logam yang meliputi penguatan system produksi, penguatan sumber daya manusia, pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna, perancangan desain, dan branding produk yang akhirnya bermuara pada eksport hasil produk kerajinan logam.

Abstract

The village of Serenan hosts over 200 small-scale household furniture businesses, producing various wooden furniture items such as tables, chairs, cabinets, wall decorations, and more. In the past, the village thrived and was known as a renowned wood carving center. However, its prominence has gradually declined. The current generation of young wood craftsmen in Serenan focuses primarily on simple carving designs, which are easier to produce. This limited approach, combined with increasing competition from larger furniture industries, has hindered their growth. Furthermore, their conventional sales methods contribute to a downward trend in income. Today, Serenan’s young wood craftsmen recognize the importance of adding “value” to their wooden products by incorporating high-aesthetic wood carving elements. However, they face significant challenges due to limited carving skills, while the village’s master carvers are no longer physically able to provide comprehensive training due to their advanced age. Therefore, this Community Empowerment Program (PKM) is designed to provide insights and training in wood carving, covering the entire process from design and carving to finishing. In addition, online marketing training through social media is offered to help them overcome the low sales volume caused by a narrow target market, resulting from conventional sales practices.

Abstract

Koripan merupakan salah satu daerah sentra industri yang menghasilkan beragam produk perlengkapan dapur dan pertanian yang dikerjakan oleh pande besi. Keberadaan sentra pande besi ini telah cukup lama dan dilakukan secara turun-temurun. Keberlangsungan kerajinan ini mengalami pasang-surut. Usaha ini mengalami surut karena keterbatasan pengalaman para pande dalam hal pemasaran serta kondisi pasar (daya saing). Hal demikian memiliki dampak terhadap minimnya minat generasi muda untuk tertarik meneruskan usaha ini. Perlu adanya strategi untuk menumbuhkan minat generasi penerus, serta peningkatan kualitas produk. Kesempatan ini diwujudkan melalui kegiatan pembuatan karya seni tempa pamor guna diterapkan pada pisau. Luaran kegiatan berupa diversifikasi terhadap produk, yaitu pisau pamor. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing terhadap produk pisau dari daerah lain.
