Abstract

The teacher frequently asks questions in the form of algorithms without challenging the student to think at a higher level and nearly never gives daily questions. As can be observed, some teachers have not done competency assessments and hence do not require pupils to accomplish specific competencies. The purpose of this project is to create school collaboration worksheets and examine student responses to these problems, with the goal of implementing learning through the Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) method. This study employs a qualitative approach and a design research method. Design research is divided into two stages: development research and design research. The study's subjects were seventh-grade pupils from SMPN 1 Merauke. This investigation culminated in the development of worksheets on direct comparisons and integers. According to the results of the examination of students' responses to the LKS, some students were able to solve problems effectively, indicating that this LKS was legitimate and useful for use

Abstract

Each region has a cultural heritage that has been passed down for generations, even in areas within one country have various kinds of cultural heritage.  One of the areas in Indonesia that has a cultural heritage is Merauke Regency which is inhabited by the Malind Tribe.  This study aims to apply real experiences that can be found in the Malind (Papua) tribe as material in curriculum development that can be applied in the South Papua region. This research was conducted in a village located in Kaiburse, Merauke Regency, which is inhabited by the Malind people. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Researchers continuously participate actively in the field by recording and analyzing and representing all findings found in the field. The approach used in order to analyze in depth all forms of cultural heritage values found in the indigenous people of the Marind tribe who inhabit Kaiburse Village. The real experience gained based on the results of observations, interviews in the field and documentation during the research that is then carried out is data triangulation. This research produces an explanation of local wisdom in mathematics material. This research can be the main source of the government to integrate local wisdom in learning in schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pencapaian hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi fungsi komposisi dan fungsi invers. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas X MIPA 1 di SMA Negeri 3 Merauke. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi serta tes akhir pada setiap siklus pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kombinasi teknik analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pada siklus I, terdapat 18 siswa yang mencapai atau melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 52,94%. Pada siklus II, jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM meningkat menjadi 28 siswa, dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 82,35%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam pembelajaran berhasil meningkatkan pencapaian hasil belajar siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 3 Merauke.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membedakan level metakognisi siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan matematika siswa.  Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan matematika (TKM), tes pemecahan masalah (TPM), dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Merauke yang dipilih berdasarkan kemampuan matematika siswa yakni kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Dari ketiga kategori kemampuan tersebut, dipilih masing-masing 2 siswa yang mewakili masing-masing setiap kategori, yaitu siswa JM dan AE mewakili kemampuan tinggi, siswa CA dan EM mewakili kemampuan sedang, siswa AP dan ID mewakili kemampuan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi digolongkan pada tingkat metakognisi “strategic use”, dalam memecahkan masalah matematika; 2) Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika sedang digolongkan pada tingkat metakognisi “aware use”, dalam memecahkan masalah matematika; 3) Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika rendah digolongkan pada tingkat metakognisi “tacit use”,  dalam memecahkan masalah matematika.This study aims to differentiate the level of students' metacognition in solving mathematical problems in terms of students' mathematical abilities. This research type is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The instruments used in this study were the math ability test (TKM), problem solving test (TPM), and interview guidelines. The subjects of this study were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Merauke who were selected based on students' mathematical abilities, namely high, medium, and low abilities. From the three ability categories, 2 students were selected to represent each category, namely JM and AE students representing high abilities, CA and EM students representing medium abilities, AP and ID students representing low abilities. The results showed that: 1) students with high mathematical abilities were classified at the "strategic use" level of metacognition, in solving mathematical problems; 2) Students with moderate mathematical abilities are classified at the metacognition level of "aware use", in solving mathematical problems; 3) Students with low mathematical ability are classified at the level of metacognition "tacit use", in solving mathematical problems.
